Southern Oregon spring rockhounding is a sight to see. We are finding some incredible material and cutting it open to show off the hidden beauty inside. It's an absolute joy to find such fantastic specimens in the great outdoors. Check out what we found.
Wow you found some amazing material! The colorful jaspers, with the beautiful patterns are just amazing. Wow! And that beautiful moss agate! I can't believe the fabulous colors in these rocks. They range from yellow, green, to orange, to blue and red! All in the same piece of jasper! And that moss agate is gorgeous! I can't believe just how beautiful those jaspers are! And the druzy quart agate with the blue fortified agate, is amazing. But for sure, the jaspers are the stars of this show! Thanks for sharing! I've never seen jaspers so colorful and beautiful before in all my life.
It's a real pleasure to share these finds with you, and I appreciate you joining in on the fun. I thought many of these turned out to be spectacular, and it's great to know you feel the same way. Thanks again! 😊
Such a fun video. You're fortunate having access to such a wonderful assortment of rocks for material. Enjoyed seeing you cut them, the swirling multicolored jaspers are unbelievable!
I'm right at the tip of Southern Oregon in CA. I only get to do beach agates, jasper and small pieces of petrified wood. I would so love to know where to begin to look for beauties. My 14 yr old granddaughter and I are both into rock hounding. Thanks for showing us your treasures.
A nice mix of rockhounding and lapidary in the video. Looked like a great day to be rockhounding. Kiddos tagged along, too? Not sure which was my favorite? They were all killer. The one with the bluish green inclusions that you made multiple slices of was amazing. Cool using a lightboard, too. All the awesome mix of swirling colors in the jasper! I thoroughly enjoyed watching every bit of the video. Thank you for sharing, my friend.
Oh, it was an absolute blast! Got to spend the day out with the fam and friends, just having the best time hounding. This time of year is just perfect, y'know? Flowers popping up everywhere, birds chirping, and everything is coming to life. Honestly, it doesn't get much better than this.
What a great spot Andrew. That was an amazing elk herd! So beautiful! Great rock finds too! And the added bonus of seeing you cut the rocks was very special! WOW!💕💕💜💜👍👍💜💜💕💕
Wow! What awesome material. Just subscribed and I already find your channel an excellent source of wonderful eye candy!!! Thank you for sharing your adventures and following up with that awesome cutting footage!!💎 Some o that material is just phenomenal when you reveal it!! Some of them are like a combination of some of the greatest jaspers that can be found!!💎
Welcome aboard! It's so awesome to have you join the adventure. You know, cutting open the treasure is half the fun. 😁 This trip was great, I totally lucked out with some of these finds!
I've done a number of stained glass projects and have always wanted to make a 12" booked agate shade. Just how thin can large agate pieces be sliced into? Given the weight of stone, I don't even know if it would be possible if they are any thicker than about 1/4 inch thick. Not looking to make a 50 pound lamp shade after all !
12 inch Hi-Tech. FYI I'm bending the rules with some of these stones which is what makes it a pain to cut sometimes. In a perfect world, you'd only be using about two-thirds of the visible blade, making the stone around 4 inches thick.
What general area is this? It looks like somewhere in the Siskiyous, maybe Applegate area. I was born in Grants Pass spent many years exploring the area. That last jasper was wild! almost like a picture jasper, but with color!
We have been in medford for 3 days & havent found any good rock hunting areas. We have only 2 days left of our vacation, can anyone give a specific location so we dont go back with empty pockets? Please?
We're from WA.ST and are/is recently Rock The Hounders. We have not posted any videos or pics on YOUTHETUBE. WE ARE NOT TECHKY. Due to our Disabilities and OUR 47yr old SON being a Tetraplegic Rock Hounding is limited to where we can HOUND THE ROCKS, GEMS, MINERALS, SPECIMENS. Is that BLM/Public or Private?

Where are these found???I haven't been able to locate any of this material in Southern Or.
Golly that rainbow jasper is glorious. I would love such a cut slab. Do you sell it.

It's over by Lost Creek Lake. I've found some good stuff in that area. Some of these pieces of jasper were exceptional, though.
