I really didn't expect that the manager of the ramen shop to anticipated the convenience of disabled customers! As someone who also has disable person in the big family, I give them my hugest and deepest respect and gratitude!
I know you talk to the owners first to get permission and have enough time to set up cameras and stuff like that, but the way you make it seem so natural and unscripted gets me every time. Amazing!
I hope the Japanese government or tourist board is paying this guy big bucks lol. He always makes people look their best and brings out the best in every place he visits. Plus, he always offers family friendly content which isn't very common.
What did you think? Is Japanese service any different at the drive thru? Did it seem expensive? Look good - or awful? How was my driving :P leave me a comment below! That is because American companies hate the fact that they have to pay employees which eats into their profits so they treat their employees like dirt. Companies in other countries treat their employees with a lot more respect.

This is a very, very cool video of drive-thru restaurants in Japan. Love this! The prices look about right for the food and it looks delicious! In places outside of Tokyo that relies on cars for transportation, it makes sense to offer the conveniences of getting food fast from a drive-thru restaurant. I like that sushi was available. It looks very fresh. If only we had it in the US. Hmmm.........
John the main reason that I love to watch your video's isn't the content which IS incredible by the way it's that YOU make watching the video's so much fun. Watching your face as you talk about and eat the food of Japan or even when you went to the sewer museum, you get a glow to your face and a sparkle in your eye's and people know without any doubt how much you love Japan. Watching your video's has made me coming to Japan one of the most important things that I want to do before I die. I just want to say thank you very much for all the work that you put into making these video's and for sharing them with us my world would be alot less bright without your hard work.

I love this channel!!! I've seen about five episodes so far and am hooked. The host is so enthusiastic and sincere. He features the people of Japan and how respectful they are. Everyone on this planet should watch this and learn!!!
I wish the same thing. A lot of fast food makes me sick it's too greasy and fatty. I would love to have fresh food like this if I'm on the go or don't have time to cook.
John, I want you to know I've been an avid follower and subscriber of all of your content for over 3 years. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO. It has made my life change for the better.

Hey John I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and that I and many other people appreciate all your content that you deliver us with such a high quality. JustIzzan thank you for such a sincere message. It means a lot to me and I’m so happy you’re learning more about Japan. The world is full of beauty but here, it is another level in many aspects of life that I’ll never stop appreciating. Something so simple as a drive thru is also so unique to me! (To us!)
One of the million reasons I love Japan. The convenience and the consideration of people's situations behind these convenient systems. ❤️🇯🇵 Thank you for another great video!
The point about disabled customers is actually pretty amazing. I've never thought about it before. Thank you John for once again opening my eyes to the wonders of Japan :-)
just the concept of having sushi at a drive through is a dream lol , but talk about having what you get at the drive through there look identical to the photo put up is unbelievable, very good work.
Man...... thank you for all the hard work of making all these videos. I enjoy your videos a lot. I learned many things, something I didn't even know exist, that's super great. It's RUclips channels like yours that made me stick to the internet! Greetings from Thailand!
Hi John - this is such a refreshing episode to watch. Super unique! It’s about time there’s drive thru sushi and ramen - finally! Question: If they serve the ramen in bowls through the drive thru like in the video, does that mean patrons would have to park right outside the restaurant to eat? Or would it be in to-go packaging?
At first that is what I thought they did - eat in the parking lot, but they actually pick it up to eat at the office or at home. Many families rely on the fast service, esp to feed kids right away. Outside if Tokyo, there isn't a convenient store every 100 meters so people get in their cars and drive to pick up meals. Note: the noodles were hard with the ramen because customers usually take 10 minutes to drive home before eating, The noodles soften over time so it's perfect. Usually the noodles are much softer out of the boiler if you eat it in shop.
Thanks for the reply John. It absolutely makes sense to serve the noodles hard to allow it to soften during the ride home. Very cool and thanks for sharing this to us all! 🙂

But to see the spin the Japanese have put on it was truly amazing. And, I have to admit, after seeing you two eating in the car, I wouldn't try it myself. I am messy enough with an In-N-Out burger; if I did it, I'd have ramen all over the car.
Not only does the food looks delicious (for all restaurants featured in this video), but the wood interiors of the final restaurant which served the tofu ramen look great as well!
