    Of all the places to go hiking and exploring, I've never considered this pocket of the UK and it's only across the Irish Sea! Thanks for sharing, Dean. Incredible views over the bay from above. How many British mountains can claim that?! ;-)

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  7 лет назад +1

      +Olly Outdoors You should definitely give Ireland and Northern Ireland a look. The whole place should be a national park as it's so beautiful :-) if you get chance head down to the Kerry Mountains as that place is stunning. Thanks for watching Olly

      The Mourne mountains are in Ireland, do they not teach geography in th UK ??

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  6 лет назад +2

      It's a tricky one as the Mourne Mountains are in Northern Ireland which (rightly or wrongly) is in the UK and people there can choose to be either British or Irish. I'd say it's in Ireland though :-)

    I love the Mournes.. thanks for coming. One question though, were you drinking water directly from the bottle you filled in the stream?

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  6 лет назад

      Hi Colin, Thanks for watching. Really enjoyed the Mourne Mountains. We drank directly from the stream but I did have a water filter with me. Always carry a Sawyer Mini filter in my first aid kit just incase. I wouldn't drink lower down near the forest but higher up it was clear enough and fast moving over rocks. Couldn't see any dead animals up stream either. All was good :-)

    • @colinp5248
      @colinp5248 6 лет назад +1

      Dean Read yeah I use the Sawyer mini myself was just going to recommend it.. just trying to keep you and your family safe lol
      Anyway great video and your welcome back anytime..
      Take care..

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  6 лет назад

      Can't fault the Sawyer filters, been testing their new bottle system and its great. We used to drink unfiltered water all the time in our early twenties but I'm a bit more cautious now :-)

      Aye mate, live nearby and you never know when some bastards pissed in it or some dogs gone and shat in it lol, might of been fine anyway? Be really careful drinking water near humans! How long it take you anyway ? :)
