2 weeks ago I was in Ireland. From Dublin we travelled to the west and south of Ireland. It is a beautifull country. Amazing landscape, good hotels, friendly people, good food. Great video! Have been there many times, too many places would be my favorite there, each one has its own beauty. We could not get to the Skelligs, but to weather twice (rats)!!!! An "attraction" that was fun, yet scary is the Dursey Island cable car, we took it one year when we were there end of October, first of November. Check it out! There are other countries that I love, but honestly, Ireland has beauty, super people, good food, charming cottages and of course, great music. So, Ireland has my vote for overall appeal. Thank you for the video, makes me want to go back!
The Beara peninsula has it all, the most stunning scenery, irelands only cable car to dursey Island, the bull rock, (which has a sea tunnel which you go through in a rib boat), ireland only Buddhist temple at dzogchen beara Buddhist centre, ireland only man made beach at the best village in ireland, Allihies. Ireland largest fishing port at castletownbere, irelands prettiest village Eyeries, ireland tallest waterfall in Adrigole. There is so much more to see, Beara is a must visit location.
Thanks so much Ryan for showcasing amazing Ireland. So many beautiful nature wonders with breathtaking views 😍 Cliffs of Moher is my favorite:) Greetings from Bali to US ☺️
Glad you mentioned the Gap of Dunloe. I was there as a kid while on a camping holiday. I remember it as a totally magical place. Great to see it has hardly changed! Quite near the Gap of Dunloe are some mountains with the amazing name Macgillycuddy's Reeks!
Great list. Downpatrick Head is even more exciting when you realize how many voids are beneath you - it's all voids. Kayakers go through the labyrinth of caves underneath. I remember three 'dips' near the big sinkhole with the viewing platform. They were each less than a meter across and no actual holes, but underneath would be huge voids that will inevitably open up. The tower is a Martello Tower, the entire Irish coast is lined with them, they're also across in Britain. They were built based on an Italian model as an early warning system during the Napoleonic wars. If you miss one, or it's locked up, or falling down, there'll be another in a few kilometers. The WWII numbers with EIRE were indeed for Allied aircraft. Each number was on the charts Allied aircraft carried so if you were off course ferrying an aircraft across the Atlantic you could quickly orient yourself and get to your destination base in North Ireland or the UK. (They were technically a violation of Ireland's neutrality.) Near Downpatrick Head is Ceide Fields - the oldest walled field system in Europe. These were farms 5000 years ago, when the peat was only half as deep. Terrific museum. Amazing exhibit on the history of peat bogs. (And museums: Dublin has several, but the main Belfast museum for the history of stone age and iron age Ireland and the other British Isle, is as good as a visit to the British Museum and on par with the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.) Mt Erigal takes less an hour to climb - easy. I was sitting in the parking lot thinking of hiking it the next day, but then I spotted people at the top. I'm used to mountains in the Western US, which are too tall to see anyone on the top.) In the area and from the slope and peak of Erigal is some really beautiful glaciated scenery, big gorgeous U shaped valleys. (And there are more than a few beautiful Irish beaches so don't worry if you miss the one mentioned in the video, find another.) Skellig Micheal is spectacular, but it's also rebuilt. A great visit, but maybe I've saved you sometime wondering how the newish timbers got into those 'old' walls. The puffins are a treat. After a puffin gives you that quizzical look two feet away you will always love puffins. An ornithologist on the island told me that the puffins on the other side of the island are afraid of people. This is like 200 meters difference. The trip out was really rough, and I'm a sea kayaker and a sailor. I'd take Dramamine an hour before the boat leaves (a good tip for any rough boat ride) it settles in, and slowly wears off so you won't just get sleepy. And if you have walking sticks bring them - makes it much easier and safer walking down the steep uneven stairs on the slope.) Dingle Peninsula is a must see as is the Gallarus Oratory. Unlike almost all the 'ancient' stone beehives in Ireland this one really is old. Best dry fitted stone I've ever seen. Drive past the gift shop, park for free and walk in. It's free to visit, but you won't know this if you first stop at the gift shop. For the Giants I camped near byin Portballintrae and hiked over, really beautiful hike - I think I spotted a fish net spot that was in a documentary made almost a hundred years ago. (Tip: when you get to the northern end of the trail along the slopes, don't bother climbing over the fence. I did, it's bit risky but not too difficult. However, when you get round the next head, there's just more of the same for ten miles (local knowledge).) To tour Ireland I rented a car and would recommend the same. Get up before dawn when you can. The Dark Hedges gets crowded with tourists in bright colors so a terrible photo opportunity. Both this video and my bit here don't even scratch the surface of Ireland.
As i said its a good list and fantastic video including the relaxation video .However they are a few other spots 1 Gleniff horsehoe valley not far from eagles rock 2 Cliffs of croghaun achill island county mayo which are higher than slieve league and just as dramatic, but much less accessible only by a very strenuous hike ,but there is a boat tour 3 Bull rock of the coast of west cork 4 An tiaracht island in the blasket islands ,similar to skellig ,but no monastery . 5 Secret waterfall donegal a few miles east of slieve league 6 Gleveagh and poisoned glen not far from errigal 7 doolough valley in mayo 8 Killary fiord just south of doolough 9 the burren county clare 10 Top of diamond hill in connemara NP and the the view of the 12 bens

I moved to the north coast of N. Ireland just 3 years ago from the US. This video was really well done and the filming was beautiful. I mostly explore by motorbike, and there are none better than the A and B roads here for riding. I've not been south of the Cliffs of Mohr yet but as the video shows, the landscape is like an onion with layer upon layer of sites worth seeing. You could replace the whole great list of places shown in the video with a set of alternatives that would not disappoint (Glens of Antrim, Malin Head, Dunluce castle, the Gobbins, Newgrange passage tombs, Torr head, etc etc.). Then there's the cities, for example Derry/ Londonderry the Walled City. Each village is interesting too. Don't forget a rain jacket 😃. I will hopefully explore more of the southern half of the island in coming years while I still have some balance left 🤣
Nice video Ireland is a cute country Dublin best and the nature is amazing here the mountains are all best and the Skellig island's houses are the prettiest I love the countryside of Ireland and hope you should make a part 2 of it. I recently have heard that Irish are now planting their country with tress and expanding forest area have you seen it.
@@RyanShirley Stockholm, Mykonos, Koufonisia (very lowkey island near Mykonos you should definitely look into), Positano, Sorrento, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paris, Venice, Sardinia, and Rome!
I'm half Irish myself, so I've been there a few times to explore its beautiful countryside, cliffs and Dublin (guess that will be in part 2). Looks like you were lucky enough to have some fair weather and sunny days, too. Unfortunately the sea is too cold for much swimming. If you're ever near Mammoth Mountain ski area in California, Devil's Postpile is a basalt formation much like Giant's Causeway. Eleven million views on your Europe video - amazing.
That’s awesome your half Irish and have been a few times! I need to visit Dublin next time, just flew into the airport and then headed straight for the sea and countryside 😅 I’ll have to check out devils postpile, I’ve never heard of it. And pretty crazy about my Europe video, it just keeps getting views
Fabulous video, you picked really stunning spots. Skellig Michael has to be one of THE most beautiful places I ever visited on this amazing planet. Loved that you mentioned Errigal and Sliabh League( as I’m from Donegal)- a beautiful county!Well done
Tip for cliffs of moher. Drive to Liscannor, there's a GAA pitch where you can park and a lady who'll let you park in her driveway for 2 or 3 euro. Think its about a 3 hour walk from there to the main section and back. Otherwise it'll cost you 12 euro per person to park by the main section.
I've been to Ireland twice (and Northern Ireland once). Some of my favorites: Dublin, Cliffs of Moher, Giant's Causeway, Blarney Castle, Newgrange, Glendalough, Dark Hedges... I could go on and on. I hope to go back at least one more time.

@@RyanShirley Hi Ryan, for me, it would be the views as you drive along the R335 road from Westport in County Mayo to Leenaun, County Galway. If feeling energetic, stop and hike up Mweelrea mountain, to get an awesome view of Killary fjord.
Good man. If you're ever back you can add some place along the north coasts like Mussenden Temple (park at Black Glen car park and walk in over the cliffs, you then drop down past a wee waterway and walk through some ancient forest area. Unreal in Springtime when the wild garlic is out). Also Dunseverick Castle, Dunluce Castle and Ballintoy harbour are really good. Then from Belfast up towards the North coast you can stop and explore the Glenariff Forest Park and walk the wooden jetty paths around the waterfalls. Then from there drive towards "Waterfoot" and stay hugging the coast road to Cushendun and you'll pass by really cool cliffs and tunnels on the road. After Cushendun you can just head straight to Ballycastle and onto the other stuff I mentioned at the start of the comment.
Thanks James! I wish I could have stayed more days in Northern Ireland. I was in castlerock next to Mussenden temple, just didnt visit! I’ll be back soon 😁
From northern Ireland down along western Ireland to southern Ireland, up through the Irish midlands and then over to finish up in eastern Ireland.....Now that's a road trip to remember! You'll need a month and you still won't get to see all of this magical island country.....

They were to mark latitude - all over west coast of Ireland. Recently they are being discovered and renovated. Some were even on east coast - one is in Dublin suburb Kiliney.

You got some damn good footage there 🤩, going to visit ireland next week, can't wait...
I’m jealous your going!
So stunning my dream to go
Thanks so much! Hope you can visit!
Definetely in the summer, its bloody freezing here now!!
So many beautiful nature wonders with breathtaking views 😍 Cliffs of Moher is my favorite:) Greetings from Bali to US ☺️
Thanks so much Justina! Cliffs of moher were so freaking cool! 😁🇮🇪☘️
Amo Irlanda ♥️☘️
Glad you mentioned the Gap of Dunloe. I was there as a kid while on a camping holiday. I remember it as a totally magical place. Great to see it has hardly changed! Quite near the Gap of Dunloe are some mountains with the amazing name Macgillycuddy's Reeks!
This is a fantastic guide. I learned about a lot of fantastic sites that normally get left out of Ireland travel guides. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! Where would you want to visit most in Ireland?
(They were technically a violation of Ireland's neutrality.)
Near Downpatrick Head is Ceide Fields - the oldest walled field system in Europe. These were farms 5000 years ago, when the peat was only half as deep. Terrific museum. Amazing exhibit on the history of peat bogs. (And museums: Dublin has several, but the main Belfast museum for the history of stone age and iron age Ireland and the other British Isle, is as good as a visit to the British Museum and on par with the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.)
Mt Erigal takes less an hour to climb - easy. (And there are more than a few beautiful Irish beaches so don't worry if you miss the one mentioned in the video, find another.)
Skellig Micheal is spectacular, but it's also rebuilt.
And if you have walking sticks bring them - makes it much easier and safer walking down the steep uneven stairs on the slope.)
Dingle Peninsula is a must see as is the Gallarus Oratory.
Are there buses to these places as dont drive anymore???
Wow u know your stuff!?? I don’t know half of what u told me and I’m Irish! Thank u for all your info 👍👏🏻
As i said its a good list and fantastic video including the relaxation video .However they are a few other spots
1 Gleniff horsehoe valley not far from eagles rock
2 Cliffs of croghaun achill island county mayo which are higher than slieve league and just as dramatic, but much less accessible only by a very strenuous hike ,but there is a boat tour
3 Bull rock of the coast of west cork
4 An tiaracht island in the blasket islands ,similar to skellig ,but no monastery .
5 Secret waterfall donegal a few miles east of slieve league
6 Gleveagh and poisoned glen not far from errigal
7 doolough valley in mayo
8 Killary fiord just south of doolough
9 the burren county clare
10 Top of diamond hill in connemara NP and the the view of the 12 bens
Thanks so much mate! When I return I gotta go back and visit them all!
I’m from Dingle in Ireland, thanks for making an amazing video about our country.
Of course! I love your country! I need to visit Dingle next time ☺️
Wow I love Ireland and hope to go there one day
Ireland is waiting for you! Such a enjoyable place ☺️🇮🇪
You are the best bro - you deserve each view….. we see how hard you work.
Thanks so much brother! I really appreciate it! This was a fun video to make 🇮🇪😁
@@RyanShirley If you ever come to Germany - I am joining you :-p
As a man from Kerry grew up there.. lovely to see such content I have lived in 7 countries ..and each have their own charm but nothing compares to the magic of the Kingdom. :) ie the Kingdom of Kerry ... I live in Berlin now with three half German children Brendan is one .Oisin is another but its great for new to come and re-experience the landscape of the old .. just to say :) Go raibh maith agat ma chaire .. :)
I love Ireland. Great video.
Thanks so much! Such a magical country 🇮🇪☘️
Thanks so much Farzana for your kind words ☘️☺️
@@RyanShirley no thank to you Ryan for appreciating it and by replying
Thx bro. Just went here and fell in love w it. Ur vids are best
I’m just stoked you watched! Norway and Madeira videos coming soon
I recently subscribed after doing my first full Europe trip this summer. Going to watch every video and base my future travels around your videos!
Ah no way! Where did you visit in Europe this summer?
Which half Top or Bottom😂😂😂
@@RyanShirley Dublin is just like any other city
Hello fellow half-Irish person, I've been there as well and I agree that the water is freezing.
I came here yesterday. Following your Video. Hopefully will be surprised. Thanks for nice video. Rest I will share after a week
✔️Nella lista dei posti da vedere prima di morire 😍
very great video. I want to experience this place. I love exploring landscapes. Hello everyone
Thanks so much Ben! Ireland is waiting!
So beautiful Ryan! Awesome video! Im so happy you had a great time in Ireland! I must go some day😊
Thanks so much Djemo! I’d love to see you make a video on Ireland, such a magical land ☘️🇮🇪
Very well done! Beautiful scenery!!
Thanks friend! Such a magical country
Awesome footage! Makes me want to go to Ireland :) keep up the good work
Thanks so much James! Ireland is waiting for you 😁☘️
Lo riguardo solo per immergermi ancora in queste splendide immagini! 😍
Thanks so much Lila!
Fabulous video, you picked really stunning spots. Skellig Michael has to be one of THE most beautiful places I ever visited on this amazing planet. Loved that you mentioned Errigal and Sliabh League( as I’m from Donegal)- a beautiful county!Well done
Thanks so much Josie! Skellig Michael really is on another level! I love donegal as well ☺️
Tip for cliffs of moher. Drive to Liscannor, there's a GAA pitch where you can park and a lady who'll let you park in her driveway for 2 or 3 euro. Think its about a 3 hour walk from there to the main section and back. Otherwise it'll cost you 12 euro per person to park by the main section.
Great list Ryan❤ Thank you !!!
Of course! I’m just happy you watched!
Your comment is so heart touching yes I agree with you, can we be friends if you don’t mind?
😊
This is a great post, full of useful information and beautifully photography. Really enjoyed it and makes me want to visit Ireland. 🙂🙏
Thanks so much Stuart! Ireland is waiting for you, such a magical land.
Watch out your step when you walk Giant's cause way.
There are many slugs when the path is wet.
People squashed them unknowingly.😅
Dang that’s good to know!
That’s awesome you’ve been! It’s truly such a enchanting country 🇮🇪
my older brother is living there, and im SOOO jealous. Ireland is such a beautiful place!
I hope you can go visit him soon! ☺️

Thanks so much Nelson for all your support! 😁☘️
Nice video mate, I'm from Ireland myself and live here still. Nothing like it, might I suggest the Burren in Co Clare and also the inshowen peninsula Co Donegal for your next trip. Spectacular 👌
Thanks Declan! When I return I’ll make sure to visit Burren! ☺️ looks amazing ☘️
Glad to see you got here!!
Thanks so much John! Do you have a favorite place in Ireland?
@@RyanShirley Hi Ryan, for me, it would be the views as you drive along the R335 road from Westport in County Mayo to Leenaun, County Galway. If feeling energetic, stop and hike up Mweelrea mountain, to get an awesome view of Killary fjord.
Das gesamte Gebiet um den Adlerfelsen herum ist Privatgelände. Man kommt also gar nicht dorthin, es sei denn mit einer Drohne.
I love Germany 🇩🇪 😍 Merry Christmas 🎄❤️🙏🏼✝️💝🎄 ❤
Lahinch beach is a must see in Ireland. Love it.
I need to check it out next time!
From northern Ireland down along western Ireland to southern Ireland, up through the Irish midlands and then over to finish up in eastern Ireland.....Now that's a road trip to remember! You'll need a month and you still won't get to see all of this magical island country.....
Voy a ver el vídeo en la televisión
I love this video ❤ amazing shots 😍
Thanks so much brother!
Super natural bro i can't believe it .
Thank you bro

this video is rich in content, shots and information. under 10 mins! awesome job, thanks ryan
Thanks so much Ronny!
Great video of Ireland so beautiful thanks for sharing
Of course! Where’s your favorite place in Europe?
Info regarding those signpost Eire 64. They were made during "Emergency" - as the WW2 was known in Ireland. Their purpose was to help aircraft pilots to navigate. They were to mark latitude - all over west coast of Ireland. Recently they are being discovered and renovated. Some were even on east coast - one is in Dublin suburb Kiliney.
The food in Ireland is absolutely delicious as well. Nothing likes it’s reputation. Very high quality.
I agree! I loved getting peppercorn steak there at every pub!
6:51 skellic island, film location for ending of the Star Wars force awakens. Ending luck skywalker.
That scene inspired me to go there 🧙🏻♂️
Really awesome top you've made!
Thanks so much Rodica! Where are you from?
First time l've ever seen a video that didn't mention Star Wars or Game of Thrones whilst at the iconic locations!
I was going to when talking about Skellig but somehow I skipped it 😅🧙🏻♂️

What a gorgeous country! Your videos are out of this world awesome but when you guys are walking up to a rock formation to look down it took my breath away because it looked like you would just keep walking lol. You did an excellent job on this video and since I am half Irish I sure wish I could see Ireland.
Thanks so much Charlotte! Your comment means so much ☺️ I love a good rock formation! ⛰
