There has never been better humor and chemistry than between these four hilarious people. What a show. I don't think we'll ever see anything like it again.
Carol Burnett said that during rehearsals Tim Conway was spot on. But when the camera lights came on, (they filmed live), all bets were off. They never knew what he’d do! She said Vicky Lawrence was the only one who could keep a straight face. All Tim had to do was look at Harvey & Harvey would lose it. @@Temulon see, that answer tells me that you did not grow up in the era of no violence, no guns, no fear at schools etc.....if you did, you would understand the longing for it again.
Carol cracked because she rarely saw Tim Conway crack. So, when she hit Harvey and turned around all she had to see was Tim's head turning away from her letting her know he was breaking character. After that, she instantly knew she had to pause to stop herself from laughing. It's as if she read Tim's mind and that is what made her lose it. Good comedians like Carol and Tim could easily read each other. This is a really rare moment. Caroll rarely laughed when in charater.

Harvey and Tim together trying not to laugh
the look on Carol's face when she's trying not to laugh at Tim Conway is possibly the funniest thing i ever saw
She was laughing because she hit Harvey's nose unplanned and his reaction. Has zero to do with Conway.
