Brilliant. I was so excited to see what was on that path!!! I've done the other route you talked about. I'd agree, that climb from the other side is nae fun, nae fun at all! Torridon is always mind-blowingly grand and beautiful. I can understand why the crowds are finding these places. It's good that folks are doing this, however it does make finding a safe time to ride really challenging. Finally, that view when you found the wee loch!!! Great riding, great vid. Hopefully catch you in the summer as this is my last working day for 7.5 weeks!!!
Nice 👍 The water in Loch coire mhic Fhearchear is unreal if you catch it on a calm day, especially in the colder months, like glass. You can see the bottom 4+ M down perfectly clear. I went to bivvy there last summer after a traverse of Liathach but the midgies were absolutely brutal. Ended up climbing the stone chute up to the summit to catch enough breeze to get a kip. 🙂
Wonderful views and great succession of hops over all those water channels on the way down. Look forward to your vids but will be especially interested in the one you are to make re the Lancaster crash site.
Wash that mooth oot! Liathach has TWO munros in its unsurpassed length. In fact they all have two - Alligin as well. None of them places for a bike though. Superb film as usual and making me homesick here in Tasmania. Edit - can't wait for the bikepacking series: there's nowhere like Scotland for that and it will be a very welcome addition to your channel.

I love Torridon - one of my favourite areas in oor wee country. I've only visited the Lancaster crash site in the corrie once but I was amazed to find a wheel with the tyre still fully inflated almost 70 years after the accident. There's also a winter climb in that corrie called Fuselage Gully. Ben MacDui is another place to visit for that sort of thing - there are a few small remaining pieces of wreckage of an Avro Anson that crashed there during WW2 just off the path on the approach from Cairngorm (but you probably already knew this...)!
I don’t know about the Mcdui one to be honest, although it doesn’t surprise me. It seems that most of the hills have had some kind of plane crash on them at some point.

I think that stag is a regular at that car park. Glad to hear your comments about the trail to the left at the wee cairn. At the start of the video I thought “I hope he’s not going where I think he’s going!” I went up to the same lochan then back down and down the way you said was terrible. It will forever be my ‘Terrible Torridon’ trip, getting through the Moraine field was torture. I took the bike up to the lochan. It was a bit tough to get up but really showed me what a 29er can do on the way down. Every time I see your drone footage I’m more impressed.
Awesome as always! Was up this way 2 weeks ago with work and managed to do the ben damph loop and the short achnashellach loop. What a place it is up there!

That trail was bloody fantastic, amazing drone capture, especially when it was in front of you, looked great, looking forward to the bike packing, sounds like it will be an interesting video, nice one Andrew 👍
Liathach is like the Aonach Eagach. It has a fabulous, scrambly, pinnacled ridge between two munros. Even though I've been up it, when you look up from the glen it seems there just couldn't be a path up through those steep, castellated flanks. Path is actually quite straightforward. If you go back and camp for a while I'd recommend having a day off the bike to go across the ridge. Unbelievable views and situation.Just if you do, don't forget the drone. I did the same as you in leaving the bike and going on foot up to the corrie. I found it quite an affecting, slightly oppressive place. Even before coming across plane wreck. Great descent back that though.

Love your videos but an aching question is always on my mind while watching. A video about the history of how the trails came about I think would be very interesting, such as how old the trails are, who built them, and why. And maybe go over some of the Scottish terms you use throughout your videos would be helpful to those like me across the pond. Just a thought
Can maybe go into the terms a bit more. As for the trails though, most of them are old routes to link up towns and villages and were use initially by cattle farmers to travel to trade. These are known as drovers roads.
Liathach is not a Munro - it is two Munros! The aircraft crash site is very sobering, tiny pieces of airframe all over the hillside but also large items like the engines. I found a pilot's oxygen mask there more than 30 years ago.
I wasn’t sure on the height, but I knew it has multiple peaks as you can see them clearly from the road. I suspect mixed emotions when I get to the crash site. I guess there will be less and less of the wreckage on the hill each year as people take a little souvenir for themselves, so to find an oxygen mask must have been very rare.
