Being a little fair to OurDryBread, some of the Pokemon he's used are actually decent, so the nature he ended up with often wouldn't matter. (That and with the screwy EVs of fighting all the trainers or early game grinding the nature probably wouldn't make much difference) Plus, as he likes challenging himself and not wasting time, just going with whatever he gets first fits. That said, he definitely needed the Modest nature in this run, and it was nice to see him reset for optimizing. I too hope he does this more often.
What I like about MDB's challenge videos is that they're often quite formal with the presentation. They don't have any silly meme edits or anything; it's just serious and straight-to-the-point content. Yet, they're still entertaining, because of the occasional funny moment here and there, and MDB just being himself is its own form of entertaining! Edit: Well, I'm glad a numerous amount of people agree with me! 🧡
I don't mind minor meme edits, but what I especially appreciate is that MDB's videos are mostly only about half an hour. There's other people doing these kinds of playthroughs and they often need way over an hour while explaining every single freaking thing that is utterly inconsequential in the long run.
As great as the entire video was, my favorite part BY FAR was MDB's genuine laughter about the "Super Thanks" 😂😂 I promise we're all laughing right along with you
Psychic would have really helped in the mid-lategame. Neutral damage vs blastoise(and serene grace boosted Sp.Def drops to speed things along) and super effective vs Koga and Bruno's fighting types
@@IcommentonvideosalotHe's talked about this before. His goal with these challenges isn't to optimize strategy or research the perfect route; it's about the journey and seeing if he is able to beat it on schedule. That's why the title is "Can I beat" not "can you beat", like most other challenge runs are typically titles.
@@kylefluharty5565He even straight-up said that in his Beedrill run. That being said, since he has a time limit to put these out, I don’t see why he couldn’t try something else out rather than immediately resorting to grinding.
Chansey is such a fun pokemon to use. You could have gotten TM29 Psychic in Saffron City and replaced Minimize. That would have been a far more consistent strategy for Koga, Agatha and especially Bruno. Minimize is so unreliable, I'd replace that move with Shock Wave (eventually teaching Thunderbolt) so that the final moveset would have been: Ice Beam, T-bolt, Psychic and Softboiled, resulting in much less grinding.
@@ThatReplyGuyit's less to annoy us and more because there is an entire part of the community that says the helix fossil is the true god of Pokemon. Calling it lord helix.

I feel that the secret power tm on cerulean cape would have made misty much easier. Did you use the VS seeker when grinding for Misty?
