Damn that board looks incredible. Nhs truly has the best quality you can ask for. That concave sheen on the ungripped board brings me back. Anyone remember the grip tape from around 96 that was classic black, but had a significant amount of "sparkle" on a sunny day? It was great stuff

Back in the 80s when clear grip came out it ALWAYS sucked! Didn't have the same feel or grip as regular. In fact a lot of colored grips were like that, but clear was the worst. And black was always best. I'm sure they've figured that out by now. Be curious to know. I just never used it again after a couple tries. In fact it goes so far back I had it on my Iron Cross Hawk before he added shape to it. Total pig. With a ton of Powell stickers under the clear. That's crazy. Had to be 85 or so. Maybe even 84.

Unless you are really trying to go skate. Clear grip doesn't last and isnt anywhere near as grippy regular black grip tape is.
