I have been going in to limp mode while driving and I notice it on high rpms and I try to manually shift using the + - on the shifter and nothing works. I pull over and restart the vehicle and all is well till it does it again. I cleaned this board and yes it was very dirty on the break points. Now it hasnt done it at all and it even shifts better. Thank you I was about to replace the transmission and honestly it would have done the same thing!!!!

Too many cooks in the kitchen. Good catch my friend. Tracing electrical problems could be quick or an all day deal. I just had a guy with the same issue and swapped out the esm twice, and cleaned each one twice like I showed. Still having issues. I bet that’s his issue as well. Keep in touch brother.
Three years later and you're still helping people! Just wanted to say thank you for the detailed video. I had the same issues and was happy to find out that it was a rather simple fix. Thanks again.
Your very welcome brother. I try my best to help out as much as I can. Glad it worked out good for you brother. If you should ever need any more advice I’m always around.
Hello , I have 2006 Jeep , my dash lights were all flashing having no problems with shifting . Plugged the code reader in # u0404 Gear shift control module . Can I do this to my Jeep ? I’m not sure what to do
Had mine replaced to my 2007 jeep three years ago cost me $1400 having the same problem found your video took it apart myself cost me nothing but the can of cleaner. Thank you.
You sir, rock. I've a 06 Commander. The exact same shift module and interior shown on your video. Had the exact same codes and lights come on that you shown when I drove in to Buffalo from Jamestown NY a few weeks ago. Since I pretty much just bought the Jeep used, thoughts of "Crap, what did I get myself into??" flew through my head. Did research, found your channel. Spent yesterday doing exactly, step by step following along in your video. Worked perfectly. Thank you again for being such a valued resource and doing them is such a clear, concise and no "techno-jargon" that the average layman can follow. :)
Everything is the exact same on the commander as the Grand. The dreaded first drive lol. I'm glad I could help a fellow Jeeper out. Thanks for the feedback it means the world to me. If you should ever run into anything I'm always around for help.
My Jeep is having this same situation and no one, neither the dealer had been able to tell me what it was. All they said was that it was an issue with something related to vapor emitions, that my car would not pass the regular revision due to contamination issues. May the Lord bless you and multiply your business, for all the help that you have delivered to so many people, including me. Thank you so much.
Ricardo Cajina does it have a check engine light on or do you know the codes it has? If the lights around the indicator are all on like mine this should fix it no problem. Let me know I’ll dig into it more and try to help you. Thanks so much for your blessings. All things possible with Him at our side.
Hello again MrV2u, I do not know the codes, but the mechanic checked in on and said two things: The EGR valve is giving slight problems, it is recommended to replace it. And the error that it shows is related to transmission gear, but on the scanner it reads something like unspecific error, so there is no code. He said he had to check if there was a situation with the gear or the solenoid. But on the EGR subject, I found this Omix-Ada 17712.05 EGR Valve that indicates to fit my vehicle. Can you tell me if I should buy this instead of a Mopar EGR valve which Price is twice the Omix-Ada one.?
The omix-ada 17712.05 is for a 05-06 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 motor. If that’s what you got go for it brother. I’ve seen codes set off random codes and once you fix one problem the rest clear. Let me know how it works out brother.
I had this problem recently. Cherokee was stuck in 3rd gear and check engine light came on. Took apart the gear shift and the control board was fairly dirty. I didn’t have any electronic cleaner, so I used some mass airflow sensor cleaner instead. I figured they’re the same. Put it all back together, Jeep ran normal and the check engine light turned off the next day. Getting to the control board, I had to use smaller hex/star whatever screwdriver. But the process was all the same really. I wonder if because my Cherokee is the special 65 year edition, that maybe the hardware was a little different than yours. Anyways, I’m writing to tell you how grateful I am you posted this. I bought my Cherokee in December of 08 and had her for almost 15 years now. My wife wants a newer vehicle, but seeing how the price of everything these days is so ridiculous, I’d rather fix our cars up than put up with dealerships and the quick depreciation of newer cars. Thanks again man, these kinds of how to videos are lifesavers
I had a 65th anniversary too brother. I agree with you 100 percent with keeping your current car up and running as long as possible. Interest rates let alone new car prices are astronomical. I make my videos to help people save their hard earned money. Thanks for the feedback brother. Keep on Jeeping.
I have never commented on a RUclips video before, but had to in order to thank you for posting this video. I recently bought a 2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and these same error messages kept happening. I showed this video to the mechanic that I bought the Jeep from, he cleaned the graphite off, and I haven’t had any issues since then. He didn’t even charge me for the fix. So thank you so much for this video, as it popped right up when I searched for the issue I was having.
What kind of problems were you having ? My dash lights were flashing having no problems of shifting, I plugged my code reader in and it’s saying # u0404 Gear control module. I don’t know what to do . It still drives fine dash lights are gone .
It can drive ok for now but eventually you’ll have shifting issues and might go into limp mode. Try to clean it and prevent other issues down the road brother.

I’m currently in my bed smiling because I own a 05 Cherokee and I’ve been experiencing this issue going on a week now. For the first time something makes sense! Can’t wait to get up tomorrow morning to knock this out, will let you know how it goes.
I’m glad the video helped you brother. It means a lot to know that I could help someone save their hard earned money. If you ever have any questions on it I’m always around for advice.
They might be soldered to the circuit boards bro. Pull the switch out and check, but I’m pretty sure there not replaceable unless you solder them off and get some new ones to solder back on.
Awesome, here is my tip on top, The car will still drive in auto but not in semi manual mode , I have to literally do this with my 06 Jeep SRT8 every 8-12 months, cause that’s a Mercedes part that’s not easy to come by at a cost of $800, You DON’T need to dismantle the entire console, just remove the shifter module, and disconnect the cable, document how you take it apart with photos first time you take it out if you’re unsure, The idea is to clean out the board, so cotton tips, buds and electronics cleaner, rub any graphite you see parallel to the board and make sure you do it many times over and over till it doesn’t show any dirt on the cotton. You’ll have to be gentle with the clips the most as you take it apart, clean out the housing and the underneath area while you’re at it, What I found is that in most cases it will take about a 1 to 3 days of driving for it to work again after you clear the codes or just put it back together, some days it worked right away and other times it took a few days. Just be patient and don’t rush it, this is not something you want to break, scratch or damage by any means. If it doesn’t work after a few days of driving, repeat the process and it will eventually work, it just means it needs more cleaning. You don’t have cleaning solution, use alcohol wipes, but not direct alcohol LOL
I literally just found out that my Grand Cherokee has this code and your video is very helpful. I plan on getting the same tools to do this. Lord knows that Jeeps can be a huge pain to repair. Wish me luck! 🤞
I had this done at a local mechanic and he charged me $700! I wish I knew this beforehand since it’s not a bad job to do if mechanically inclined. My trans is fried now and need a replacement. Love my Jeep but it’s been a huge headache for the last 2 years.
Hey man quick question what was it doing dor you to have to do this ours is ahifting to like 3rd and it quits shifting shut if off start it back up and its dine until it does it again any info would help
It was acting a fool. Lol this issue would cause anything from: hard shifts, holding gears longer than normal, putting the Jeep into limp mode, illuminating all the shift indicators on the dash, check engine light, feels like the Jeep is bucking, etc etc. Its not a bad job to do, and will save you money in the long run. Let me know if that helps or how you make out brother.
@@richardbeach8689 causes of the P0700 code could be: Faulty transmission control module, Transmission valve body fault, Shift solenoid issues, Open or short in the wiring harness. With that many miles brother I’m leaning toward getting the tranny rebuilt. Sorry to say brother.

You think the ESM would be the issue for a 07 grand cherokee 4.7 stuck in park even if it's not throwing any codes for it? Professional computer didn't find anything for it... First issue I noticed was when I put it in park and shut the car off the wheel wouldn't lock, I could turn it all the way around. Then I would have issues getting the key to turn over had to jiggle it for a while. Finally one day when the key wouldn't turn over I pulled the shifter into neutral to try to get the key to turn, it didn't so I put it back in park. Finally got the key to turn and that's when it was stuck in park, been like that since.
Dylan Webb awhile back there was a recall for the ignition switch. Has that been done to your Jeep? Seems to me like a ignition switch issue. If you have heavy keys on your key ring that could throw it off. That’s what the dealer says lol. Let me know if you had the recall done.
Just completed this on my 07 3.7. If only id done the job last year when it first came about haha. Anyway its all back together and sems to be fine. Time will tell if thd code comes back and it gives me issues afain. I will update soon! It took me 2 hours to complete.
@MrV2u while I'm thinking about it do you remember there being an extra male end type plug that's unused to the left of where you unhook the esm? Maybe for another option on a higher trim package but I have been curious since seeing it today lol.
Now the electronic part with the carbon slider is made in Czechoslovakia ... [You can buy it new for $900 USD] we'll fix it. What he did not show and ONLY because this Jeep did not have the QDll four-wheel drive. Under the TEE HANDLE you pull up to engage the transfer box for 4WD-Low [if your Jeep has one] is a T-10 screw. To get to that screw you need to come in from the bottom. That took me two days to remove and replace ... and one trip to Fastenal ... AND use ONLY a NON-Chlorinated electronic contact spray cleaner on the Q-tip. [Clorinaded will embrittle the plastic and it will crack apart].
That did it, all is good again! Happened pretty quick and was intermittent during the last couple of days. Codes were the P0700 and all the dash gear selector options would all show as selected intermittently and corresponded to the tranny acting up. Sometimes it would go back to normal just driving or sometimes I had to pull over and run the shift lever to park then to drive again. Codes also indicated the TCM/PCM is probably bad (nope) All it was is as you showed, bridging of conductive carbon on circuit board that the metal contacts slide on to tell the trans what gear you have selected with the shift lever. Used 91% iso rubbing alcohol (normally prefer 99% though and the normal 50% has been too weak in the past to clean very well). I also agree with the others, great video detail.
I recently took my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.7l to the local Jeep dealership and had the diagnostics ran on it bc I've been having shifting issues (hard shifts, delay in gear shifts, not wanting to accelerate quickly when going up hill from a dead stop). They came back and told me that I needed a new prndl module and it would run me $1,300! (They didn't give me the codes) I found your video and am wondering if this would be a fix for that. I'm a 32 year old woman without much experience working on cars, but I'm a determined one and hope this is what I need to do! I should mention that my gears aren't all illuminated at once, although they have been before a long time ago. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
Ok I got you, the PRNDL is the same thing as the ESM. PRNDL is park, reverse, neutral, drive, and low. ESM is electronic shift module. I was having the same issues as you. When it acts up the Jeep goes into limp mode and makes the Jeep sluggish and not move. This is a easy fix, just follow the video. Another suggestion is to go to auto zone and have them pull the codes for you. They do it free of charge. Write them down before you disconnect the battery in the jeep. Once you disconnect the battery all the codes will be cleared. You may or may not have a check engine light on. Sometimes the codes are pending and won't set the check engine light on. Hope that helps. When you go to auto zone get a can of electric contact cleaner, I saw your question a couple days ago, I couldn't respond because the comment got deleted. Any questions, Im always around.
MrV2u thanks so much! I've watched your video several times now and am about to go try this out! I got the same cleaner that you used at Wal-Mart. I was thinking the prndl was the same as the esm but wasn't positive. Is it absolutely necessary to take the entire console out? Just want to cover all my bases before I start lol!
jennaraeford taking out the console is the only way to gain access to it. Believe me it looks scarier than it is. Just go slow and it will turn out fine. If needed take pictures for yourself if your not sure you can look back at them or this video. Good luck
MrV2u I disconnected the battery last night when I started to take things apart 🙈 I'll let you know how it goes!! Thanks so much for your help and video! You're awesome and very much appreciated!!
05 Jeep Grand Cherokee, stuck in 1st gear, and also when I turn off and turn back on and try to drive it says the e brake is on. Throwing the code you showed of the p700 keeps been acting funny for a while throws the shifts hard or stays stuck or goes slow etc hopefully this will fix.
WOW - hope this helps me out ... Mine just got a u0404 and p0700 code this morning , but also got a p0613 along with it. CEL went on and after a few stops on the way home requiring engine on/off, the CEL disappeared. Still have the codes though. Will give this a try next ! any idea if the p0613 could also be related to same dirty contacts ?? Thanks again for an extremely informative video - top notch !
Thanks for the video man! I'll have to buy some tools and give this a try. my 06 jeep i bought a year ago has been stuck in limp mode so I bought a code scanner and it says P0700 and P0733. I got the vehicle cheap and im too broke at the moment to afford a new transmission if that's the problem, so i've been trying everything I can before I get it towed to a mechanic. It has always randomly shifted a little hard and has always had a slight burning smell after I shut the car off that only lasts a min, so I always assumed the transmission would go on me someday. Just wish it didn't have to be right before winter lol
Kristina Stroup Do you have a check engine light on? If so can you take it to advance auto or auto zone and have them scan it for you? I would need the codes to point you in the right direction. Many things can put the Jeep into limp mode.
Some possible causes: • Low transmission fluid level • Dirty transmission fluid • Shift solenoids • Transmission mechanical problems • Transmission hydraulic control circuit It wouldn’t hurt to do what I did in the video as it can be a electronic issue. How many miles do you have on it? Has the tranny ever been serviced? It can also be corrosion in a wire harness connection.
@@MrV2u 148000 no clue bought it for my daughter 2 years ago I guess that wouldn’t hurt .. I did ur trick didn’t do the job it’s shifting hard and out of sync at highway speeds
Our 08 Santa fe doesn't go into park or drive. Last saturday, the shifter started getting hard to move. On that day, I was able to put it in drive, and i put in transmission fluid to make sure it was at a good fluid level. Then I got into the interstate and sped up to 80 mph and down to 0 without any problems. After that day, the shifter didn't let me put it in drive or park anymore. I'm going to try this and also clean the electrical connections with electrical contact cleaner to see if this fixes our issue.
AC Padilla make sure you don’t overfill the transmission. Get vehicle hot and check with engine running and in park. Your going to have to go under the truck and have someone with the engine off cycle the shifter while you watch the lever on the transmission move. Make sure it’s not binding. Not sure if your able to see it. It shouldn’t be hard to roll through the gates. It might be binding.
What I did on my jeep was a electrical issue. Yours sounds like a hardware issue. It might be completely different from my setup. Let me know how you make out. I’ll do some research for you if you get stuck.
5 Star Jeep Club thanks for the response. I was able to fix it and it's apparently a common Hyundai issue. The shifter shaft got stuck. I had to remove the shift cable and neutral safety switch, then sprayed wd40 and lube on it. I grabbed it with an 11 mm wrench and wiggled it until it started moving again. I kept moving it around with the wrench while spraying more liquid so it would seep more into the shaft. I then reassembled everything and my problem was resolved.
AC Padilla awesome. Like my pops always told me fix it yourself. Subscribe to my channel. Going to be branching out to different manufactures. Thanks for your response.

I just turned over 304,000 miles on my jeep and outside of routine preventive maintenance Ive had no issues till nowany and all advice would be appreciated thanks in advance for your time and efforts.
Most likely you need a rebuild or swap it out for a junk yard tranny with low miles. It all depends on your budget. I replied to your other comment with more information brother. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
You need to do a Blend Door Video... My 07 Grand Cherokee is only blowing cold air but thermostat, pump & black heater are all getting proper heat. I do not overheat. My blend door accuator is working as it should (off of shaft) but the last problem to suspect would be the blend doors itself
I literally just figured it out like an hour ago. I took off my accuator and manually turned shaft for blend doors to open from heater core. So its all good now. but shaft looks to be missing a gear. so i'm thinking that is the problem, it is just jumping when trying to switch.
No brother it has to make that contact. The graphite makes it possible to slide across the contacts, but when it builds up and makes that solid connection it messes things up.
Robert Urban that might be a dealer repair brother. That’s why no one wants to help. Trouble Code: P1697 PCM Failure (EMR/SRI Mileage Not Stored) Trouble Code Conditions:Key on, and the PCM detected an unsuccessful attempt to "write" the Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) or Emission Mileage Request (EMR) mileage to an EEPROM located occurred during initialization. Possible Causes: Clear the trouble codes and retest for the same trouble code. If DTC P1697 resets, replace the PCM and then reprogram it. It might cost a lot. Clear the code if you have a reader and see if it pops up again. Let me know how you make out.

Does it come on at all? Does it come off and go off? If so how long does it take to go off? Do you have a check engine light on? We’ll get to the bottom of this. Thanks for the feedback as well.
Email me at MrV2u@hotmail.com I have a picture of the fuse/relay panel. It can be a parking light relay that’s going bad. You didn’t mention anything about changing relays. Relays when they go bad they pop and turn off then when they cool they can come back on. But let me know about the other questions I asked up top!
Did you replace the bulb recently? If not pull the tail light lens out and check the bulbs. One of the Filomena’s could be shorting out the system. Change both bulbs at the same time if you find one bad. Check the socket where the bulb goes in for corrosion. If so get a electrical cleaner. It’s a spray you might be able to save the socket by cleaning it. Next it can be a bad wire, that is way more involved to pin point. If it is a bad wire and when you pull out the tail light lens maybe it’s right there. Other than that and you’ll have to trace wires. It can also be the headlight switch in the dash that’s going bad. Do you have automatic lights that come in when it’s dark out? If so it can also be the ambient light sensor that’s faulty. Let me know if any of these helps you my sister.
So turns out I was having shifting problems and my cousin just did the work. He told me the contacts were filthy black he clean it out for me and he said it drives good.
MrV2u my 06 Commander sometimes drops out of gear while driving. Once I pull over and try to put it in park it grinds and clicks. Other times when parked I'll start it and when I shift in to drive it won't engage. Both issues are resolved when I turn off the engine. Could these problems also be connected to the graphite build up or something else.
Do you have any check engine lights? It could be the graphite buildup and something else. A failing hub can give you the same issues. But you will get a check engine light. The hub assembly contains the abs sensor. If you have the codes let me know so I can further help you out.
Rena' Longino I’d recommend going to auto zone and have them check for codes. Not all codes set off the light. Some codes are called pending and won’t set the light off right away. From what you say I’m leaning more towards a abs sensor in one of the hubs. They check the codes for free.

I just had a guy with the same issue and swapped out the esm twice, and cleaned each one twice like I showed. Still having issues. I bet that’s his issue as well. Keep in touch brother.

Hello , I have 2006 Jeep , my dash lights were all flashing having no problems with shifting . Plugged the code reader in # u0404 Gear shift control module . Can I do this to my Jeep ? I’m not sure what to do
You defiantly can do it for your Jeep.
Had mine replaced to my 2007 jeep three years ago cost me $1400 having the same problem found your video took it apart myself cost me nothing but the can of cleaner. Thank you.
You got it brother, yeah there are times you need to replace the esm it if always start with cleaning it first. Keep on Jeeping.
I couldn't have said it any better!!!
Gave my kid an 06 Cherokee for Christmas and having exactly this problem on Dec 28th. Headed out to pull apart the shifter. THANK YOU!!!!

Glad to help my friend. Let me know how you make out.
You saved me countless dollars and headaches at the dealership! Thank you and keep up the great work!!!!
Not a problem brother, this is why I make videos. Save that hard earned money. Thanks for the feedback.
That’s awesome brother. Thanks for the feedback. And if you have any questions in the future I’m around for advice.

They might be soldered to the circuit boards bro. Pull the switch out and check, but I’m pretty sure there not replaceable unless you solder them off and get some new ones to solder back on.
Awesome, here is my tip on top,
The car will still drive in auto but not in semi manual mode ,
I have to literally do this with my 06 Jeep SRT8 every 8-12 months, cause that’s a Mercedes part that’s not easy to come by at a cost of $800,
You DON’T need to dismantle the entire console, just remove the shifter module, and disconnect the cable, document how you take it apart with photos first time you take it out if you’re unsure,
The idea is to clean out the board, so cotton tips, buds and electronics cleaner, rub any graphite you see parallel to the board and make sure you do it many times over and over till it doesn’t show any dirt on the cotton.
You’ll have to be gentle with the clips the most as you take it apart, clean out the housing and the underneath area while you’re at it,
What I found is that in most cases it will take about a 1 to 3 days of driving for it to work again after you clear the codes or just put it back together,
some days it worked right away and other times it took a few days.
If you have questions I’m always around for advice. Good luck brother.
I had this done at a local mechanic and he charged me $700! I wish I knew this beforehand since it’s not a bad job to do if mechanically inclined. My trans is fried now and need a replacement. Love my Jeep but it’s been a huge headache for the last 2 years.
I just did it today on my Cherokee 06 4x4 and the check engine along with the not in time gear shift change finally came to an end 🎉
That’s awesome my friend. Thanks for the update. Keep on Jeeping

Absolutely brother. I should of mentioned the non chlorinated formula. Thanks for the comment friend. Keep on Jeeping on brother.
thank you! this worked on my 2006 commander to!!
Your very welcome brother. The commander and grand Cherokee are identical in every way except body. I’m glad it all worked out for you.
Showing it from beginning to end excellent
Vinny Bottitta glad I could help brother. Any questions hit me up.
Amazing brother. Thanks for the feedback. Glad it all worked out for you.
Good luck
jennaraeford one more thing did you go to auto zone and have them check for codes before you disconnect the battery? If not no biggie.
MrV2u I disconnected the battery last night when I started to take things apart 🙈 I'll let you know how it goes!! Thanks so much for your help and video! You're awesome and very much appreciated!!

Sure thing, pal!
I’m having this problem now!!! 06 GC stuck in limp mode. Any updates on yours??? Any advice!?
Kristina Stroup Do you have a check engine light on? If so can you take it to advance auto or auto zone and have them scan it for you? I would need the codes to point you in the right direction. Many things can put the Jeep into limp mode.
Any clue if this works for a P0730 code ?
Some possible causes:
• Low transmission fluid level
• Dirty transmission fluid
• Shift solenoids
• Transmission mechanical problems
• Transmission hydraulic control circuit
It wouldn’t hurt to do what I did in the video as it can be a electronic issue.
I like, thanks man
You got it brother.
Awesome tutorial, thank you!
My pleasure brother. I’m glad it could help save that hard earned money. Thanks for the feedback!
If only i had seen this video before replacing my transmission lol! Thanks. P.S i didn't had to remove the center console
Ah man that sucks. Hey at least that’s one thing less to worry about further down the road. I was showing you the whole process. It is possible to do it with our pulling the console for sure. Glad I could help. If you run into anything let me know so I can try and help you out brother.
@@MrV2u just test drove and it drives wonderful. Thanks man. You're a genius!
b df much appreciated brother. Means a lot to know I helped someone out. Stay tuned for more videos.
I just noticed you don't have to take all that shxt off, thanks for the video 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I was showing the entire workings of the Jeep. Glad to have helped brother.
Excellent tutorial 👌
Thanks Fatu.
Thank you so much for this video, I have one question,I'm sitting here with everything apart, but I don't have contact cleaner can I use alcohol
You’re welcome brother. You can definitely use alcohol. Put it on the q-tip or rag first.
Thank you
And I am a girl😊
@@sbar4862 my bad… it’s pleasure to help my sistah. I’m glad my video can help you. I try to be as thorough and to the point in all my videos. Let me know how you make out or if you have any other questions.
You are a national treasure
Truly appreciated, glad the video could help.
Thank you for this video. It is not only helpful but simple to follow as well. Just a quick question though. Will this work on a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee with the 5.7 hemi that has the 5 speed gear box or is it just for the 3.7? Great video brother. Just had to say that again.
Thanks Greg means a lot to know I’m helping out. It will work in your Jeep as well. Let Mel. Is how you make out or if you have any other questions. Good luck my friend.
I have the same code on my 06 Grand Cherokee Laredo followed your instructions to tthe letter , nothing changed Great job on your video but what the next course of action should I take? I just turned over 304,000 miles on my jeep and outside of routine preventive maintenance Ive had no issues till nowany and all advice would be appreciated thanks in advance for your time and efforts.
Most likely you need a rebuild or swap it out for a junk yard tranny with low miles. It all depends on your budget. I replied to your other comment with more information brother. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
💯👍🏾did it today bless you 🙏🏾
Glad to help brother. Thanks for the feedback and blessings.
very well explained, thank you !!!!
Thanks for the comment. Means a lot. And glad I could help. Any questions I’m always around for advice.
This is whats wrong with my Jeep Cherokee thank y
A pleasure to help sister. Let me know if you ever have any further questions. I’m always around for advice. Thanks for the feedback.
You need to do a Blend Door Video... My 07 Grand Cherokee is only blowing cold air but thermostat, pump & black heater are all getting proper heat. I do not overheat. My blend door accuator is working as it should (off of shaft) but the last problem to suspect would be the blend doors itself
Do you recently change the thermostat and water pump or flushed the coolant system?
I literally just figured it out like an hour ago. I took off my accuator and manually turned shaft for blend doors to open from heater core. So its all good now. but shaft looks to be missing a gear. so i'm thinking that is the problem, it is just jumping when trying to switch.
Kyle Dillon you have heat when you move it manually? At least it’s not a bad fix.
Is there anything we can put between the cleaned contact points to help prevent that graphite for forming again ???
No brother it has to make that contact. The graphite makes it possible to slide across the contacts, but when it builds up and makes that solid connection it messes things up.
Excellent video sir! I’d love your help. Any tips on clearing PCM failure? P1697 engine code. Nobody near me wants to help. I have no idea.
Thanks, worked great! Fixed 100%
Glad I could help brother. If you ever have any questions I’m around for advice.
Trouble code p0700 and u0404
@@MrV2u is this cleaning for code U0404? Its cause my cherokee doesnt take the change on time. They told me it was the computer of transmission
melissamirelesrubio I recommend you try and clean it before you spend money on unnecessary parts and labor. Let me know if you run into problems or have other questions.
Thank you I will
Hey awesome video help me out alot thanks but I have a question my tail lights don't stay on changed all the bubs and fuses and nothing everything works the signals work and the breaks work just not the taillights I was wondering if you know anything read online and Said it could be the circuit board any information helps
Awesome brother. Glad to have helped. Save that hard earned money brother. Thanks for the feedback.
@@MrV2u thanks a lot brother. Ppl this dude is the real deal 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks brother. Enjoy your great running Jeep now lol.
Occasionally (not every time it happens) all the sensor lights come on. Recently though when I have these issues no sensor light comes on.
Rena' Longino I’d recommend going to auto zone and have them check for codes. Not all codes set off the light. Some codes are called pending and won’t set the light off right away. From what you say I’m leaning more towards a abs sensor in one of the hubs. They check the codes for free.
Thanks MrV2u. I really appreciate you!!!
I don’t even own this car but dame thanks bro
