My name is Ike Stephens. I started driving a truck in 2002. I started making trucking videos in 2010. I've done everything from VLOGs to parodies.
Trucker Rag Chew | Trucker Rag Chew is mixture of Vlog, music, and opinion. It is one of the original VLOG style videos series in the RUclips Trucking genre.
Bonehead Truckers® | I am one of only people who will call out the bad things truckers do to ruin this industry. Bonehead Truckers® exposes the bad behavior of truck drivers.
Trucking Advice | Mixed is into the normal videos, I have been known to put out an occasional educational video. Even though I still have a lot to learn myself, the things I do talk about is stuff I've learned the hard way.
RUclips Live | I was one of the original content creators to do live content. I started on Ustream and when RUclips started the live interactive content, I was one of the first to participate.

Retired driver of 45 years on the road.. Every time I think I miss trucking I watch your channel and the thought leaves my head
Lmao
Which will only help you more to resist the urge to come back!😂 Enjoy your retirement, driver.
Me too.
Include me also. Retired in December and these videos validate my decision!!!
I hate this line of work. Can’t wait to get out
I’m a old truck driver and yes, I still have a paper atlas😎💯🚛
I have a paper atlas and I know how to read it.
Me to no GPS look at the map and my route in in MY HEAD
@@JaneDoe-ng3zm good For You
"Motor Carriers Atlas" is the best, was designed specifically for truck drivers back in the day, a wealth of information. Don't know if they still print it or not with all the cell phones and GPS's that everyone has now.
Meh. No need for any of that stuff. If you don’t know your way around the US and can’t read signs on the road you are in the absolute wrong industry.
The boys wear flip flops chaining up on the highway thru he'll coquihalla highway. See them every winter asking people how do I chain up 😂
“Well, the first thing you do is get your winter flip flops on…”
@@SoCal780 bahaha I'm a honkey I wear boots
The rest of his attire was rather nice. All he needed was a pair of low top cow boy boots. Of course they are un comfortable and you cannot run in them but you look pretty cools🦇
They have to ask because there`s no snow in India. How many of them have no concept of the English language? Too many to count.
JUST TELL THE DUMB ASSES THAT THE CHAINS GO ON THE STEERING TIRES ONLY.
An Atlas Is what I had and I even got a paper map for the large cities. Was a great help.
I did the same. The welcome centers had free maps and they were good details to match up against what your atlas showed. Pennsylvania had free truck route maps.
Remember, I’m a old driver. I know what good buddy means.🤣🤣🤣💯😎🚛
As do I. Real truckers don’t wear good buddy shoes.
"We got ourselves a convoy boys!" Breaker, Breaker 19! Smokey & the Bandit! Burt Reynolds & Sally....fedgit!
SALLY FIELD!
The first clip is the same guy that will dump a drink on the ground next your newly washed truck.
God, don’t ya just hate that?!
Im new to trucking only having driven for 7 months. I own a paper atlas.
Next thing is buy a cheap dash cam and C.Y.A....
Yes,I stopped and got a paper map at every state line 😂
Yep. I got a boatload of em. The maps are for getting to that last turn. The Garmin is for the last turn. Works ever time...
Rand McNally LARGE SCALE! They put it out every 2 years.
I still have mine!
I lost it at that dart van and Ike just kept saying “drive like a BOss, drive like a BOss” 🤣🤣🤣
Bossed the drive axles off the road he did.
Ike, I love your commentary. I wish you still did it on Four Wheeler Fridays, too. I'm old enough to have been around when C.W. McCall's "Convoy" came out, and "Good Buddy" first started making the rounds on the CB. If you've never heard it, look up the song "CB Savage". AND even though I'm retired, I still have a Large Scale paper atlas.
I live in Arizona, and my oldest friend was in Ohio. When I finally was able to talk my boss into letting me take two weeks off, I decided to make a road trip. When the guys at work asked me about a GPS, since they knew I didn't have it on my flip phone, I pulled out a paper atlas. None of them could believe it, and none of them could read it.
yes i own a truckers atlas eventually it comes in handy and answers something u need a answer for , when i went to truck driving school the instructor said to buy one as soom as possible
Should have told you to buy a dash cam too ...
@@rickymcginnis7300 yeah, I got one of them comes in handy just to see things sometimes but anything like serious shit there’s a company camera in here tooo
Best part of wearing flip flops is like giving your feet a high five with every step.
😂😂
That’s great 😂
@waylonhall3743 yup. No one has ever looked at it that way.. it's kinda like working in a cemetery, if people catch you talking to yourself, just say no I was talking to Fred.
Them people at Dart evidently never seen my boss drive. That guy is in that office for a reason. Hands of the toys, dude.
I had a year old copy of the laminated Thomason’s road atlas. (Given to me by a UPS driver) I pulled in behind a UPS truck to ask if the driver could help me out with a street, that I could not find. He gave me his old book, as he had the newest copy out. This is when I was running road calls in my Locksmithing Van. It was better than a purchased Road Atlas sold at a large Blue Box Store, that we all know.
There are situations and locations that anyone with even a quarter of a functioning brain could look at and go "I and my trailer shouldn't be in there".
This has terrifying implications for the ones we see, and what's driving out there with us regardless of if we're in a 4 wheeler or a rig.
Drive like a boss out like a boss!
Ike......smokes coffee and stupidity what a morning great job
Ike i love your commentary its hilarious so funny saying western express out of prison and into a ditch and when you say big time twuck driwver this has been a particularly funny vid😂
He's washing his flip flops with his urine.
Hey they say it kills foot fungus
Ike is a TRUE Good Buddy!
How would you know that unless you're one yourself?
@@sharonw2475 Glad you understand and my knowledge is not questionable.
I still have one from every year. I feel naked without my paper atlas.
I've been driving 29 yrs . All I wear is flip flops. I love being comfortable
your commentary is awesome
I still have a paper atlas.
I still carry my paper atlas. It's in my trunk. I have used it when the GPS went crazy. Great job Ike.
I do still own a paper atlas and use it for trip planning
I miss trucking but it will never be the same as when i started in 1990 .
HE DROVE LIKE IT, INTO THE DITCH😂😂
I love your commentary brother !!! Appreciate your channel been truckin for a minute but still learning and your channel helps ! Keep on keepin on!!
Love your commentary. You got that down.
The world needs a Bonehead Truckers CDL school.
They already have them....they are located at Swift Trucking, Western Express and Fed-Ex.
7:06 Except for switch back turns, DART! You be alright 😂
You should start Flip Flop and Toe Fungus Thursday's....
Absolutely!

We’ve all heard them all…years ago.
I retired in 08 and my old Atlas is in the back seat of the 4 wheeler. I don't need it because at 82 I only go places that I know how to get home. No smart phone no gps and I never turn around because I don't get lost and I don't own flip flops. But I do watch Bonehead Truckers.
You got while the getting was good ...
Love your commentary
I own a Rand McNally Truck atlas, for sure. And, yes I use it.
3:53 yip, laminated Atlas 🤟🏻, never hit the road without it!!!!!!!!
Color commentary is awesome!

I’m 62 .. old school Trucker. Yep I know what a good buddy is. 😊
i still have a paper atlas but rarely use it most of the time i go to the same places
Your commentary is a big reason for watching.
6:25 DANG 😮, he hit that HARD!
I love your commentary....it's part of what brings me here...makes me laugh every time.
Ike, You are a legend in your own ______!
Well then, at least he was smart enough to get off the road and into a line of work where he won't have to worry about becoming a highway statistic...
Yep I have an Atlas from 2021, use it all the time!
Dirka Dirka
Mohammed Jyhad.
Aloha snack bar!!!
Yup durka Durka
I still ordered laminated Atlas and I got a Garmin GPS
Health & Safety, whats that? No Hi Viz vest, flip flops, truck door open, no doubt engine running for a quick get away!
Love the commentary! Especially the guys on the CB!! 😅
😂 THAT TREE HOLDING IT UP 😂
It looks like that metal pole helped. And maybe whatever was in that ripped out concrete.
Use Atlas all the time. Just use GPS when I’m looking for a place to eat.
Yes, two: one full size and the other book size for driving. Both current.
2022 laminated Riley McNally truckers edition
HELL TO THE YEAH IKE!!!!, I luv all that you show here🤣😂😖🤦♂️
Where's his damn towel that looks like an ice cream cone upside-down to go with them flip flops? Guess he's exempted from the DOT rules about wearing closed toe shoes or boots. Imagine him getting out of the tractor when raining!😂😂😂😅
Yes I used my laminated maps until I retired. I now use it to just look up things.
Swing wide it's a freakin' train track😂😂
Yes sir them good buddies love them pickle parks
I like your videos mate
It’s kinda nice to see that we ain’t the only ones with people who can’t drive 😂
Idiocy is universal.
Been watching flips flops for 35 years. Yes I still have a map book. 😮
OK I will also say not only 35 years, and from California but my grandfather, the only other trucker in my family, told me what a goodbuddy was when I was a teenager watching Smokey and the Bandit. 😂
I still have one of those antique books lol 😂
Imagine that he didn't even touch the fire hydrant😂
Yes, I still own a paper Atlas! Doesn't everyone?
8:59 i almost choked watching this clip😂😂 bruh wtf would have ever made you think u cud pull that u turn😂
Drive like a boss! But if you spell "Boss" backward, it's double SOB and that's Dart for you!
I Love your commentary!!❤
I use both Atlas and GPS….gps for time management, and paper to check and verify routes………been doing this for 22 years, and leaving this profession is more and more enticing.
That cabover at the end, on the right, has seen better days.
I still own an atlas and several map books. It's actually the only way I can navigate because I hate, hate, hate GPS and cell phones.
Idea!!! Hearing protection for truck drivers made with flip flops
Ive been off the road a while. Paper maps all the way. The NYC 5 boroughs had like 250 dollars in paper maps down to the alley level. Takes a few hours to trip plan it.
The Boston Big Dig was a adventure. Pappy says deliverer this way to here. And they dig it all out. Its dirt now; signs gone.
I probably still have the old Motor Carriers atlas somewhere in the pile of trucking doodads on the shelf.
We did about 1999 buy a laptop then a Rand McNally Streets with Serial Port GPS for it. I still have that and I still have the disks. Although the Nation had updated everything two decades or more ago. all we needed was a physical address. But kept paper maps always.
Parasites come up to fuel tank talking through the wing window (Theres a old rig...) saying you lose? No. Mr Dot knows where Im at.
I'll die a trucker and some of the videos remind me of changing times. Companies buy super singles to save money and it doesn't at all. What a mess.
Love it. Best on the RUclipss
I don’t missed boneheaded truckers love the videos. Shame on the messsss
Still kept an atlas on hand for 10+ years & counting.
I love your commentary!!!
Good Morning Stephens 👋😃👍
I have a Road Atlas and several Thomas Guides from my California days.
I keep and use a 20-year-old paper, local street map book in my pickup. I need to update it! Not holding my breath until find an up to date one!
Used a rand McNally motorcarrier atlas and never had any problems. I also had a semi specific GPS, but I didn't rely on that much.
YES I own an atlas-2014 edition. Shame on the mess...lol.
Yes sir! A full laminated atlas
Pole dancin in the sunshine😳😳😳😎😎😎
I love this show..
I have a truckers Garmin GPS and still have a laminated truckers atlas, which I still use.
Me too. Paper atlas, been trucking 27 years fourth generation. No truck driver school
Those cabovers bring back good o memories here in the USA. I remember those things were everywhere back in the 1980s & down. These days the most common cabovers are only fire trucks, garbage trucks, crane trucks, concrete pumper trucks, front discharge cement trucks, & non semi trucks like those little Isuzus. The new length law is why you see mostly conventional cab semis on the roads today. In other words, the overall length limit was increased which eliminated the need for cabovers to pull trailers that exceeded the overall length limit.
Best one I saw was a trainee make a u turn off a culdasak. He hit a fire hydrant with the ICC bumper with the side of it.
Still wearing hip waders when I watch your video and listen to you.....
Even though I have a trucker GPS, I always carry a Motor Carriers' Road Atlas
Love seeing comments about Atlas's still are being used. Better than gps or google maps haha
The double trailers ,we call that a super btrain here in the great white north
Wiggle Wagons...
5:44 that must be the Decatur terminal. With all due respect, it is very congested. 😂😂😂
I'm a new trucker and I have a up-to-date road Atlas.
Sure

You find those good buddy in the pickle Park's 😅
Great commentary
