When it’s dark out, it helps 2 use etiquette in parking lots by not leaving headlights on and either using just parking lights or turn ur headlights off. By leaving them on, u blind people and it’s not being considerate
These newer trucks have the headlights on while the engine is running. The problem is most drivers don't turn the switch to the left, one position(in between on and off) to turn them down! Or...don't idle truck, but you have to be seen in poor lighting by having running lights on. Depends on truck having good batteries!
These dicks drive up the interstate with their bright lights on and you want them to be considerate in a truck stop? 😂 it’ll never happen
You're not wrong, but I would add that it is also creating a safety hazard.
Common courtesy has gone by the way common sense, that along with communication barriers and lack of self awareness. Those cb savages had a helping hand in this.
Being a truck driver and running night shift he’s not really a bonehead or inconsiderate you get tired and you forget things you have to get fuel and go Things happen a lot of times it’s not on purpose or being inconsiderate I think if you don’t wanna be blinded don’t park nose first near the fuel island
@trucker912
Or, and I'm just spitballing here, how about not running with the fog lights on when it's not foggy outside? That way, you don't blind people in the truck stop OR the people on the road.
Somebody’s going to confront the wrong driver and the video is going to be super exciting.
You must have missed last weeks video. A punch may or may not have been thrown
I’m sure it’s happened a bunch of times besides the video from last week. But I don’t know of anyone whose gonna post a video of themselves getting their ass whooped.
Most of these people behind the camera are cowards, they choose who to confront very carefully!
@kyleburns5772 yeah but another driver who witnessed it might lol
@@justbreathfool
A bull hauler or any real driver won’t be blocking the pumps. They get fuel, pull up, go in and pay. If they need to do anything else they go park in the lot. The way we were taught, before truck driving schools.
When I pull into the truckstop in the early Am, I shut my headlights off because ppl are sleeping! Common courtesy!
I've been retired from trucking for 5 years, but I love watching this stuff. Truck drivers are getting dumber and dumber every day. From what I see both on here and on the road, Amazon is becoming the next Swift.
Has Amazon, surpassed J.B.Hunt?
@@iamgriff
Well how often do you see J.B. Hunt on these videos?
Usually, it's more owner operators than any company driver.😂
I drove during the 70s, 80s, 90s, and until 2008.
The last 11 years was just in California, the full length of that horrible state.
There were always a few boneheads out there but not like today.
So glad I'm not on the roads any longer.
It’s humorous how y’all love to add how long you’ve driven, but now turn your back on trucking. In the 30-40 years of trucking it was nice to know how much of a bunch of super CB heroes you guys were. We are all glad you retired, so stay retired.
@@PapaEATSYOMama Did someone pee in your Wheaties this morning?
They did their time. Sometimes you just need to move forward with your life and retire from trucking.
The truck stop should charge them for destroying the squeegee.
Yep, just add it to the fuel bill. Then they can take their nasty, messed up squeegee with them & do whatever with it.
The squeegee is not from this truck stop, he stole it from a flying J.
And he changed the water in the bucket, so yes it will be clean truck
@@drmidnight680-kz2le- yeah, you always see the pros using squeegees on the high-end cars. 🖐😒 ...and no, it still won't be clean. It will be streaked kinda prolly like his lazy drawers 💩.
It won't be long before truckstops quit supplying squeegees altogether, and simply have them for sale in the store for about 50 bucks apiece.
I remember when you could get air at every pump, until assholes started cutting the airchuck off of the air line.
In another couple of years, there won't be one fucking spot that you can park in for free, even after getting fuel, because of lazy people who shit in the parking lot instead of walking their lazy lard asses to the restrooms .
Remember when Walmart used to let drivers park overnight back in the 80's and 90's? Thanks for ruining that truck drivers, for throwing your piss bottles out on the pavement for someone else to pick up after you ran over it when you were leaving. Truck drivers are their own worst enemy .
@@silentpenguin3001 Exactly 💯.
When I was trained back in the 90's, the instructor said that there was only one rule written in stone. "Thou shall not drop a trailer." You never, ever assume that your kingpin is locked. Get out and look stupid!

He did a pretrip when he started his day. The problem is someone pulled his 5th wheel and that you should check everytime you lose sight of your truck. Always check it. Never happened to me but I still check everytime.
When I drove for JB Hunt thirty years ago my trainer said to pull the trailer brakes and then pull the tractor brakes while tugging on the trailer.
Yep.. I always looked at it!!! Even after fueling
Some flatbedder had his chains untied when he was at a truck stop, he rounded the corner out of the truck stop and his cargo went off the trailer and into a pond. People do this shit for fun - vandalizing others rigs - it's all a game to them.
@@MrWolfSnack Isn't there anything to prevent this other than setting brakes so pin is too hard to pull. Can you electrify the pin, put grease all over the pin or how about spreading some sh*t on it...asking for a friend.
@@MrWolfSnack probably the same people who finger paint shithouse walls and plug the toilet on purpose
Some drivers out here aren't boneheads, they're simply plain a-holes with no etiquette or self respect... actually, far too many of them these days 😔
I agree with you 100%
Back when I was still driving I swear a lot of them had no brains and didn't know any better. Doesn't help when you have rookies training rookies... blind leading the blind that just don't even know or have any common sense about what etiquette and respect for others is. Then yeah... you just had plenty of A-holes mixed in as well. I so don't miss driving at all. Did over a decade and well over a million+, miles never a ticket or accident.
A lot of them are foreigners that I believe shouldn’t be here and for some reason they are able to get licenses even though they don’t know all of our laws. Especially Indian drivers they are some of the worst. I remember ice road truckers India the people over there couldn’t even drive their cars in a safe manner.
That's because they come from countries where there's no such thing as etiquette, courtesy and respect for others.
After 13 years, I’ve finally got off the road and working a local gig where I get to eat/shower/sleep in my own house each night and I’m making damn near same money I was making OTR. I’m not looking back.. I’m done being OTR.. waste of life.. I’m young and want to live my life while I’m still on this earth.
Western express calls it a precrash inspection .
😂😂😂😂😂

Because of these videos I do a pull test every time before I move the truck now, and I've been out here 25 year's😮💨
An easy way to stop that is to set the trailer brakes and then pull and then set your tractor brakes. They'll never be able to pull that pin.

And OBVIOUSLY you also go look and check after you connect the hoses and retract the landing gear.
But yeah, sure pal.
It indeed is better NOT to do a pull test, is what you are suggesting, right?
Why else would you say something like that?
If you have pulled it twice and it is attached, guess what?
It is attached.
Give me 1 example with proof that after pulling it twice it still was not attached and a tragic accident happened because of it.

I had one chew me out the other night because I snitched on him for his obstruction of traffic. The limit was 60, he was doing 25 on Interstate 40 in Knoxville, TN. When I questioned him why, he said the road was too rough for you to do the speed limit and said I was "abusing my equipment" by doing the posted limit. A few minutes later, Tennessee Highway Patrol was pulling him and the Ford Expedition behind him off to the side for DUI and obstruction of traffic...
@@truckerzachbell getting someone who’s intoxicated off the road isn’t what we are talking about, but good job he’d probably have killed someone.
I'd rather let others be Karls and Karens then to snitch myself in most cases. But leaving your OFF ROAD lights on in the truck stop clearly indicates to me that the dude doing your physical is a cheater and that you're visually (and mentally) impaired.
In that case, I'll gladly let the actual Karens and Karls feature you on Bonehead Truckers and I'll stand beside them as a witness (which effectively would make me a Karl in that situation). Because you don't need to be driving around blinding other drivers!
Double shame on a BOBTAIL taking a 30 at a fuel island. Bobtails can park literally anywhere.

I do have crocs with me when I’m truck driving but that is only to where inside the truck when I’m taking my 10 hours. I would never drive with them. I don’t even think they look appropriate walking around stores with them. To me they are not very fashionable in public.
Not gonna lie, this series is just grown men yelling at other grown men for doing things they dont like while recording it and its golden.
Hey dude, some people need to be told.
recording it so we all can watch it, awesome.
This is how people learn the things that matter in trucking that aren't in the manuals, regs and most classes. I'm a second generation trucker that went with my Dad OTR from the late 70's to the late 80's during summer breaks. And there's still things to learn. But really, most of it is common sense and keeping your head to figure out how mostly to avoid problems then if need be, figure out how to get out of a problem.
And occasionally, to quickly figure out the least bad outcome.
But there's a ton of little things folks just don't know or more often, just can't be bothered to care about.
Boneheads vs Cry babies
I supervise the mildly disabled who clean a rest area. A few truck drivers spoil it for the many. Most slobs are not American born. Perhaps a training course for them by gov. after they cross.when in Rome......etc....
Most of them shouldn't have a CDL anyway. If they can't speak the language how can they read and understand the road signs?
Some people just have no idea of consideration to others ! It's a sad sad world these days. I'm kinda glad I had to retire early from driving, I think I would be in jail because of someone's stupidity ! Lmao...

Pull every automatic truck off the road, we go back to real drivers and clean the "stupid" mess off the road lol
To prevent your 5th wheel from being pulled: Set your trailer brakes first, then pull forward of the trailer and set your tractor brake. This will prevent situations like the one in this video.
And then that will allow them to release the trailer tandems🙄
They can release the tandems regardless...Your comment makes zero sense relative to my advice on how to avoid someone releasing your kingpin: "Do you even trucker, bro..."
A pre-trip inspection would prevent both of these, childish, idiotic pranks from unfolding.

@@Brooklyn_Powers Any release to austin. Have you done any three thousand point u turns lately🙄
That's another thing that irritates the shit out of me, all these wannabe truck drivers that have to have a bright ass led off road light bar or 4 sets of fog lights on the front of their truck just to run up and down the highway acting like they're out in the middle of the desert somewhere!!!! If you need that much light to see then you're in the wrong line of work!!!
Another thing is why doesn't the DOT do something about the light bars??? I always thought they were off road use only.
Could be Canadian trucks. Lots of them have off road lights on them here. I have driven trucks with them. They are not legal here either but not enforced, at least in my province. If people used them responsibly there would be no issue. 2am on two lane trans canada with bear deer and moose and oncoming traffic every five minutes, no problem. On a busy freeway, absolutely should not be used. Part of the problem is they wire them to a switch on the dash that takes time to reach and find with your hand. Truck I drove with them had them wired to the high beams so you could shut them off fast when you saw someone else's lights coming around the corner ahead.
Really? Criticizing Truckers for making their job easier, and dare I say "being safer" for wanting to see better in the dark? And you're saying driving with less light is the right line of work? You're not a bonehead, you're an idiot 🙄

@@MrGeorgeg87no being human is admitting a mistake and appreciating the correction, these are pure selfish pricks who need taugh manners
@@MrGeorgeg87and stupid. Human and stupid.
@@MrGeorgeg87exactly!! 💯
Complaining that the lights are blinding you and saying you’re tired, then getting out of your truck to start yelling and complaining to a driver , THATS NOT TRYING TO SLEEP , stupidity
For guys that block the fuel aisle make up a sticker that says 'Proudly driven by a Bonehead Trucker' and stick it on the cab somewhere
And get yo ass whooped!!! Keep playing wit people’s truck.
I wish I would catch you fuing around my truck! These channels got you all doing stupidity.
"Proudly driver" ?????
@@charlesrhinesmith4585 I edited it.
If the SIT forever in the fuel isle and their trailer is dirty I write in the dirt on the back I BLOCK FUEL AISLES most are too lazy to do a walk around so they drive away not knowing they have a scarlet letter on their tail
I retired in 2007, I got out just in time...
It’s not a freaking chicken ! It’s a Fricken Chicken !
Ike. Comment section shut me down when I speak the”TRUTH “. Especially when I use the word “Cultural “
their culture is poop!!
I’ve used a squeegee on headlight lenses in the winter. It’s not designed to wash whole truck though.
I mean... the squeegee is designed to clean glass, and the headlights count as glass, soooooooo...
The most I do is the side windows and the doors. It just looks annoying when the door is full of dripping windshield residue.
For the love of God!!! Please, Please make a “road legends” twerking shirt😂
That poor driver on his tee shirt wont ever live it down 😂😂😂
Ego was also wearing his flip flops with socks😮😅😂
Whenever parking i would always set the trailer brakes then pull forward and put pressure on the king pin set the tractor brakes. There isn't no way anyone is going to pull the pin release on that fifth-wheel while it's under that much pressure !!
Smart!😊
They usually do it at fuel island
@@jeffreyroehm5904
I wasn't aware they've gotten that brave !
And with cameras everywhere on the fuel bays !
Dammit!
It's definitely getting worse out here.been cut off and almost run off the road 4 times this year by bonehead drivers.last one took off my mirror i285 in Atlanta.
285 is crazy
Not to mention, all of the truckers does seem to have no problem, speeding in construction zones.
Amazon doesn't own any tractors, they are all independent contractors.
Back in the day there wouldn't be any video recording or conversation, you would just come back to your truck to find those lights busted out.
Dropped trailer? Don't pull out both knobs! Put your thumb over red knob to keep it in when you pull yellow knob out! Now somebody can't pull your release handle! This is a truckstop situation. The other situation is when initially hooking up to trailer: the driver didn't stop to check gap; then didn't have the window down to hear the double click, didn't do the tug test; then didn't look with flashlight to insure that jaws were locked over shank. Most likely trailer was too high (but not high enough to jump kingpin) and jaws almost locked on head of kingpin! If you follow the proper procedures, this doesn't happen! He's lucky trailer landed on tractor's frame and didn't go all the way to the ground! If you do jump the kingpin an empty quart Gatorade bottle works perfectly! Lol😂!
Did not know that
Dude they're not talking about sliding the tandems. What you do with the red knob won't stop anyone from yanking your 5th wheel release other than if you leave the truck pulling on the trailer.
Always check your 5th wheel during a pre-trip. There are some real a$$ w1p3s that will pull your pin at the truck stop.
Back into your trailer & do a tug test before driving away. Takes 15 seconds.
@@pcs5852 totally agree. See to many guys do a pre-trip in like 5 min. How they check everything is 5 min is beyond me.
Chicken looking for that high speed chicken feed
I’ve seen that “Jordan” Super Ego before - running with his brights on across 80 in Nebraska. Definite BoneHead!
I just hope no one gets hurt trying to make one of these videos.
The headlight guy is probably getting a cut of the 80 billion sent to Ukraine he sounds like it 😂
if they are dumb enough to block and leave the truck running, snatch them keys and throw em lol
Kudos to the driver for calling out the want a be driver for using those lights !
Hey Ike can you also get people not to park there bobtails in big spots😂.. that is so freaking annoying when people are trying to find a spot to park with a trailer and nothing but bobtails are sitting in those you can park a bobtail anywhere
No you can't. While I always go in and ask an employee of the truck stop where I can park my bobtail some tell me I must use a full spot as bobtails aren't allowed in the gas area of the parking lot. I've pulled my bobtail into some stupid places to free up truck parking, but only when I can.
Well, they need to create more places for bobtails only. It’s not always the bobtailer’s fault they need a place to park also.
With some of these videos I can't tell who the bone head is anymore.
Squeegee in a bucket? Well it worked on the donkey cart.
Ike you are gonna be the reason that someone gets their ass kicked out here just to send you a video clip
and I can't wait for it to happen either
Which clip was you? 😂
If drivers need that much lighting to see, apparently, they will fail a vision medical test
I’ll freely admit that I have pulled up to the pump and ran for the bathroom before! Typically I just get my fuel and pull up to the line, but sometimes you gotta go!😮
I like truckers but one of these times you're going to confront the wrong person and something bad is going to happen.
Phone Creeper: You need to learn etiquette bud

Such irony.
I'm waiting for someone to slap the camera because you're trying to get your 5 minutes of fame on this channel. BTW...you may be in public but you're on private property, you can be trespassed from these truck stops then your company will fire your ass. I'm all about rights and freedom to film in public however this is borderline harassment
You must do some of the stupid stuff we see on here.

The video was awesome thank you for sharing
If you need all those lights to see at night, hang it up!
😂 Drivers, if you love or insist washing, you're trucks with the squeegee, then paint your truck dirt brown.
We joke about truck drivers getting dumber and dumber.......................but it's our country as a whole. We are moving very rapidly towards the society depicted in the "Idiocracy" movie.
Keep it coming 🇺🇸
I’m so glad to be done OTR and doing local. Destress by going home every night.
Last week I saw a Super Ego parked with his tandems 10 feet into the road, rather than against the curb. I spoke to the team drivers, one of which had some English abilty. He said they'd be moving soon.....10 hours later they STILL were in the phoquing middle of the street. Next time, I'm gonna film these scabs and send in the footage
That "Ego" driver was washing off a crime scene!
This is why i dont park at Truck Stops anymore..
You go in a rest area late night its hard to get though sometimes you can't
My biggest fear is that I'll be on here for doing something I didn't realize I did. Nobody's perfect 😂
Just apologize and ask what you did wrong. However, only apologize if it was legitimate. The cameraman, or other driver, might be the one being a bone head. And if that's the case, the video 📹 will backfire on them and make them look stupid.
If he needs that much lights on the front of the truck they need there eyes checked.
if i was an owner op id be pissed
that first video hits home hard
Hey amigo, looko at what you el dido to el fronto of my el trucko!!! Fred Sanford style😂😂
I’m an old trucker that drove from the mid seventies to 2000 and finally sold my truck due the high cost of diesel at the time. But back when I was hauling cattle it was a common thing for rival companies to pull your trailer latch. So what you did when you parked anywhere and that means anywhere you’d pop your trailer brakes then pull up against your kingpin and and then pop your tractor brakes. Superman isn’t going to pull your latch then. He’ll tear the handle off before he unlatches it guaranteed. That’s just some advice from an old guy just take it or leave it. I’d sure hate be out there these days after watching this channel. Love it and it’s not just funny watching these videos it’s really scary seeing how stupid and inconsiderate a lot of drivers are now. Back in the day the idiots like a lot of these wouldn’t last long and could even be found in the back of the truck stop black and blue and bloody if they pissed the right guy off.
