@@kaveman3981 Always loved southeast Iowa on a wet spring thaw. You could see trucks and farm tractors sitting on their frame rails. That is when you know that you are really stuck!

The best one I heard was about a driver that got stuck under an overpass. A state trooper showed up and said ... did you get stuck? And without missing a beat the truck driver said . . Naw I was hauling this overpass and I ran out of gas. Lmfao

At 9:31. The old Truck Driver was coming in a town. He saw a cop car parked. That's why he grabbed his belt & held it. Instead of paying attention to the road ahead of him like the RR crossing. He mind was on watching the cop (mirror) instead of the train / signal. He stopped on the tracks (no crossing bar - only lights). Got hit & got more than a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.

Yeah apparently the one driving was a trainee and the guy looking at his phone the instructor. They got lost and didn't think of stopping to find out where they were. Saw it in another video and had the story to it from there.

Drove for nearly 30 years only had one issue. Was I a piece of junk of a truck an trailer goin west into Salt Lake City an ended up in a run-a-way- ramp do to faulty break's !
I had complained about them for almost a week prior with ni luck ! Oh an the trank did not have a Jake break on it eather !
Took the tow truck 4 hrs to drag me out an busted a few chains an a cable along the way ! That was one scary ride !

I learned to drive in Northern NJ and NYC without power steering when I was 18 ! If I was close to hitting something I got out and looked ! Worked out well for me !!
Armstrong power steering! Had the "spinner" on the steering wheel, and kept the truck creeping ever so slightly.
It worked out pretty well for me too.
13:27 They put those bright-colored seatbelts in trucks today so your safety man (and the cops) can tell at a glance if got it on or not. My truck has one.
They're talking about forcing all auto makers to install them. It's bs too. It's not in the name of safety. It's competely for revenue. Imagine getting pulled over by a motorcycle cop and getting a ticket for not wearing a seat belt.

That guy who lost his load because the bridge gave out.. I hope that wasn't his crop. I feel bad watching that one.
Some of those country bridges are scary! And there is always someone around telling you they take 110,000 pound loads across them in season. And that they take their combines and big four wheel drive tractors across those bridges. But I always sat lightly as I went across, while listening to the bridge creak and groan. Many of them with 5 or 8 ton limit signs! Yet that would be the only bridge in to my delivery. Praise the Lord, I never went "DOWN"!

8:25 Yes, I DID do it. EMPTY 53' + VERY icy roads + high winds = That. No Damage to the truck or any 4 wheelers. The Truck was idling forward due to the road conditions. A strong gust of wind hit the truck from the side and spun it around 180* before for I even had a chance to say "10-4". I spent the next week prying the driver's seat out for the crack of my ***. I had a death grip on that thing.

Heck most of these steering wheel holders can't get around without a GPS system they can't live without it. They don't know what a atlas is or know how to read it. I remember when you had a phone at the restaurant table to check in and directions was the only way.
Most of these bully drivers act like an ass on the road and when it comes to there accidents or getting pulled over...no sympathy from me. They get what they deserve

That's a bad situation where the w9 rear ended that trailer. That driver was probably seriously injured. On June 7th 2022 I was on i80 in Ottawa il and just before the construction zone I wasn't paying attention and at 68 mph i rear ended a empty tanker that was barely moving. The impact sent me into the median cables. I cooked all my own food in the truck so I never had to eat at a truck stop. The impact broke open my sleeper cabinets and the one I kept my canned food in, a jar of spaghetti sauce hit me in the head so hard it busted open and gave me a concussion when it hit my head. And the way they frame twisted, my legs were pinned between the seat and dash. I actually had to take my shoes off to get out of my seat. By the time I realized what happened my windshield was gone and several people were yelling at me to get out the truck it's on fire. My door was jammed so I just out the windshield and about 30 seconds later the whole truck was engulfed in flames. It burned to the frame in less than 10 minutes. I could feel the heat over 100 yards away. That's what took me off of the trucking industry for 7 years
But if it was what you call a steering wheel holder then you would be blaming them for how bad truckin has been...a bully trucker got put in his spot.
I used to ride with someone down in the oil fields in Texas he loved doing acrobatics with his trailer during the rainy season. Kinda funny looking back seeing your trailer trying to pass ya.. lolol

My dream is to become a trucker, and I promise, I'm a level headed intelligent individual who will never perform the way these drivers do. Driving is a skill, not a fun ride.
