Great to see the younger generation appreciate these older cars
I've been watching maple motors for years wanting to buy a classic outright. I received a settlement a year ago and was gonna purchase something from them 😂 prices tripled in two years no thanks I'll wait. In 2019 he had fully restored Chevelle's for 20-25k now he wants 45+
No car is worth the price at a car dealer right now. With the economy the way it is, it's the wrong time to go into deep debt, especially with the present interest rates.
I’m not into financing cars but I’d rather finance a classic car that goes up in value than a new car that goes down in value. Smart move
22:14
Interested in financing
When interest rates were low, cars, houses, watches etc.. all went up. Financing a car (classic or not) at 10% (or more) is not going to be a winner.
Or buy a car that's fully depreciated.
Does the girl come with the car?!
Dude: We don’t joyride them.
Also Dude: The rear end fishtails at 90 MPH!
😂😅😂
That little red truck was the fastest production vehicle in 1979.
Financing a classic car kind of sets me sideways. There is no finance company that puts me on the right side of the deal whether it is or isn't a classic that goes up in value. Somebody in that business knows how much the car is worth and they aren't into helping me make money. I bought my classic from a trusted friend who let me pay him a little here and there with no deadline, no interest because he knew I'd take care of it and restore it to it's original glory. It's an emotional thing, not a business transaction. I paid him off in three years and by that time had restored it like new. We both feel we won.
The 67 GTO with the green exterior.
I like the 60's Impala with the 409, four speed and dual carbs!
This is a terrific video. It would be SO MUCH better if you also showed the asking price of at least some of the cars !---Like the J code (HEMI) RoadRunner !
I grew up with all those cars. I was brought home from hospital in brand new yellow 57 2 door hardtop. Cars back then had so much class.
Had a 68 charger as my first car back in 79! It was built up and i never dreamed they would be worth so much nowadays! Just a rusted out shell is going for 5 to 10 grand now! Sold mine in the early 80s for a grand!! Wish i had just put in a barn somewhere for a while!! Wonder if its still on the road somewhere and was a survivor!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. The view was nice too!!
$59k for that 60 Impala is actually not that bad a price when you consider what it would cost to restore one.
depends on how much is original. motor, trans, etc.
Maybe for a number matching all original frame off restoration. And the truck no way at that price
Just because the restorer is crazy enough to spend that much to restore it, doesn't mean the next buyer should be crazy, too.
That place is a Toys R Us for big kids! Love it.
😂😂😂 it literally was a Toys R Us store front before they moved in. Too bad they aren’t there anymore tho
Great video, thanks for taking the time to show some nice particulars of some of the rides . I've been a hot rodder all my life. My first car was a 1946 Ford Cpe. with a 1957 350 cu. Olds Rocket engine, project car.. I was 15. I have been drawing cars and flames since I was 8. Keep up the video fun. I advise to wait to buy a vehicle until the first of next year.. you will get a much better price.
Awesome video! Thankyou for stopping by
Yes I could see financing a classic. Nice cars. The 1957 Nomad wound be a one of a kind. Going to see what they do. Thanks for sharing! 💯❤️👍👊
68 HEMI Road Runner is absolutely gorgeous!
My Dad had a 1968 C-10 when I was a kid! 258 I-6 and. 3 on the tree…I remember it very well!!!
I really like these shows where you take us along!! Its almost like I am right there with you two. Liv is a natural salesgirl!!! The 1970 truck is a cool classic pickup and talk about Nice!!! Too nice for your shop truck. You get used to seeing the weathered look and it grows on you. I like your Pontiac more than the painted polished GTO!! Great Show!!! Hit the Like Button!!!!
Sorry but I got Factor pitched by Dennis Collins and its terrible!! Dont waste your money!
I agree with you on the step side on a square body. My last project was a '82 fleetside short box.
Just found your RUclips thanks to Derek. You tapped into my past Pontiac obsession. I’m old so I have owned a few. My first running car was a 64 GTO, but my best was a 67 firebird convertible that I traded for a beat up car trailer. 😢
34:38. I really like how the tailgate is raked on this truck, plus the hood contouring is really cool.
Great video, I would definitely choose a 57 Chevrolet, not sure which one , my first car was a 57 Chevrolet. I just love the interaction between you two . I don't know if anyone ever told you this , you are absolutely perfect liv , so beautiful and well spoken ❤
I’m going to have to make a trip over there and see what I can’t afford!
That Dodge power wagon at the end perfect!
Four of them caught my eye. Black 57, the first nomad, the hemi roadrunner, and the power wagon.
Old cars don't always go up in value. Every car from every decade has it's time then it passes. Of course that salesman would disagree I'm sure. Financing a fifty year old car for seven years is crazy. It's hard to find parts now.
That car is amazing, the sound. 😮. Great video folks !
Your enthusiasm is contagious i dig it, watch you vids from the Philippines when i can, best wishes in car success.
I completely agree with him on the step sides
I totally agree with Olivia on the wheels that 15's are big enough especially on a C10. The Hemi roadrunner is my favorite, but the 2018 Demon is right there too!!!
I took my driver’s license test in our ‘60 Impala that same color. Ours was a convertible.
Wow! That was fun😁. Really nice cars!
Those classic cars remind of the cars in the Clive Cussler book series. 57 Chevy Nomad has always been my dream car ever since I saw on MacGyver from the 1980 tv series.
The turquoise 58 @19:33 the only thing that I don’t like about this car is the exhaust…instead of tips protruding from under the bumper…the stock location is so much cooler!!! Underneath the tail/ reverse lamp, it’s the stock exit location.
Awesome show
Without a question of a doubt I would have to say my favorite is the 68 triple black Hemi Roadrunner
The LS350 came in the 98 99 2000 Camaro
My favorite car was the 1961 Ford Star Liner......Black. Beautiful car.
I love that green 67 GTO the most. All those Bel Airs and Nomads were sexy too!
My pick was the 1957 nomad beautiful car!
Thanks for the Great video guys super job!
P.S. you folks have a really nice GTO.
Cheers and have a great day.
I was the Mechanic/Detailer at Almeida's Classic Cars. Turlock Calif. 1980's
I loved the same car that 1960 Impala was sweet. And I also loved that Dodge Demon even though it's a late mod
Tools in the fridge 😂
Awesome classics, thanks for sharing.
Agree with Danny about the step side differences on how it relates to the years and body style.
My favorite trucks are the late 60's to early 70's chevy trucks with a 396.
Although, that 1957 GMC lifted 4x4 was amazing!
You completely ignored the 58 Chevy. It's a one-off year and the first year for the 348 big block.
There are many classic car finance companies and you can finance up to 120-144 months(10-12 years).
I like the little red express
It’s the 68 roadrunner for me 😊
I couldn't agree with you more on two things, number one, the big inch wheels on that truck are horrible, I'm a traditionalist and feel that any car should have no larger than 15" wheels, 16, if an Iroc or later Fox body Mustang and number two , I absolutely LOVE the 60 Impala and would love to have one, but do not possess a shop or even a garage large enough to house one!☹️☹️☹️
Do what I do for lack of a garage I just lease a couple storage units which are 10 × 20 ft just perfect !!! 😊
Could you grab that black Hemi road runner for me while you’re at it please? Thanks!
That was fun. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
The first LS that came in the 1997 Corvette was 5.7 liter LS1. So yes they made a 350 LS
So many great cars not sure I could pick just one.
1963 Dodge Power Wagon lists: $59,995.00, 1967 Pontiac GTO lists: $59,995.00
FIRST TIME SUBSCRIBER, I HIT LIKE, THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO.I WILL KEEP WATCHING FOR SURE.THANKYOU RUSS BOYD.TAMPA FLORIDA.
Awesome buy
My dad had a 57 chevy without the B piller. They were called Sport Coupes.
Holy Wow! Just found this channel! That orange '57 Bel-Air is CRAZY beautiful! Can't take my eyes off it and replayed that section multiple times already . . . New subscriber just now.
The big difference between the 67 and 68 are side marker lights. In 69 the lock steering column started.
They are extremely collectible until you can’t find affordable gas. Otherwise I completely agree. Most every classic I have bought I have made money on after enjoying them for a few years.
I have to go with the Hemi Road Runner as my choice
The 66 GTO HANDS DOWN
I like the black1968 Plymouth Road Runner Hemi (20:44), but I didn't see enough info on it. So my favorite is the 1968 Red/White Stripes Camaro (25:37)
Awesome, Tri5s all the way. 57 Nomad all day long and that Black 57 hardtop with all the extras was cool and if they are were all the original extras that would be rare. Danny is right not a fan of side step utes but hey thats just me
Feel the same about step sides.
I like the chopped truck, but I only like pastel colours for those older trucks personally..
Sitting a bottle, or anything, on top of that hood is pure madness (19:00).
The spare tire mounted in the back is called a continental kit…
When the LS came out in 97 Corvette and then in 98 with Camaro and Firebird they were 350’s, actually 346 cubes but advertised as 5.7. First year of the new GTO was also 5.7 but called LS2 I think. Surprised you all didn’t know that!
That blue 60 Impala was so cool with dual antennas back in the day. All you need is a bigger shop ?
The 60's blue paint isn't as nice as some of the others, but a unique car and very cool. The paint on that flamed '55 Nomad was "flat" and very, very nice. My pick would be the Hemi Roadrunner, but you wouldn't be able to drive that heavy a prize around because of it's tremendous value. So, all that said, I'd take the '57 Nomad.....
The first LS engines were 5.7
I like these kind of videos and y’all know how to show the best angles…please do more walk through son different dealerships…👍👍👍
The 1950 Ford F-1 pick-up is the one I want.
I have a lifted 2019 Jeep Jl Rubicon low miles.. considering its a Dodge Ram dealership wonder if they would take a trade in
The different height in the front seat allows passengers to enter the rear seating area without disturbing the driver.
that old power wagon is the most truck for mechanic . Hard to break it.
Hey bud you said you like the valve steam covers (green) you can get them easy, my tires were filled with Nitrogen an that's what the green means!! So anyone knows to put Nitrogen an not air... Even seen for sale at autozone, mine were nice chrome solid ones when I bought a rim n tire package..
My choice would be one of the 1957 Chev Nomad station wagons
I paid $60,000 for a numbers matching 70 Cutlass 442 W-30 conv 5 yrs ago from a 75 yr old man who's son bought it new then passed away in 1976..it was recently appraised at $120,000 through Mecum
Great camera work! Nice and slow when looking at the cars. Inside and out. Came here from the Derick interview. Liked and subbed.
Thank you so much! Danny is really great with a camera.
Do car maintenance
I'll go with the 1965 GTO!!!
I didn't see Dan, rolling out with title in hand waving it out the driver side window...lol
I love nomads 55-57 all three were wonderful
How is Ventura these days? Pierpont. Left 29 years ago for Hawaii.
Have the Ford F1 but the 409 Impala is definitely the one I would pick 😊
Thanks for sharing
Aloha
I 57 nomad is my favorite it is also the year that I was born.
I like the 1958 chevy impala
First LS was 5.7.. LS1
I have alot of classic cars and i hope they go up as you say but with the younger generation it can go the other way
I’d go with the pickup the 60 Chevy is nice also but yeah the truck looks better but I guess it’s all up to what you really want either way good luck with either one
Just a small FYI. 67 Camaro (only year with a wind wing), 68 Camaro( smooth body lines),
69 Camaro ( ridge in body line with 3 slats in front of rear fender wells). Hope that helps.
Yeah, in 1968, GM introduced astro ventilation which in some models made the wing glasses unnecessary. Also, the insurance companies were pressuring manufacturers to abandon the wing glasses because thieves could gain access to the vehicle more easily.
Nice tour. 55 and 57 Nomads were my favorite.
You need to find a truck with a blown engine and build it your way.
BTW, I hate the 20's and 22 inch wheels also, especially on a classic.
... getto wheels adorned with thin sidewalls destroy any cars eye appeal
LS1 same as 350 but displacement the actual displacement was 348 5.7 liter.
Yesterday I was watching you two you all bought a 56 bell air blue and white without a hood and you drove it back home and your wife drove the ford camper she called it short sack
Yes they made a 350 LS. The original LS1 was a 5.7 350
It was really 346 cu.in. I believe gm performance had a LS1 crate motor that was .30 over that may have been 350 cu.in. the LS6 that came in the 01-04 z06 corvettes were also 346 cu.in.
So I have a rusted 1970 dodge dart swinger slant six 225 that my Grandpa gave to me back in the mid/early 80's. I wanted to fix it up but it did not work out that way. To expensive for me. I did rebuild the engine but I've moved on to other projects. If interested, give me a shout and I'll provide additional details.
Definitely enjoyed this vid!!!
Maple motors have a nice tempest for sale $22000it is jet black with nice mags it makes a nice rumble
LOTS OF IDEAS
You think they would let me race one for Pink Slips? Thanks for the video of that dealership. I went to one in Indiana at Ray Skillman Ford. The classic dealership was attached to the main Ford and was massive. So cool to see these places are still around.
