I hope you know that tens of thousands of us stayed up all night keeping track of the storms and donating to worthy causes to help after the sun came up. You may have faced those storms alone but we were with you in our ❤️ 🙏 We're in Florida and have been through far too many intense storms and hurricanes. Praying for your town!!

What always amazes me about tornadoes is how one property can be completely destroyed and yet one beside or across the street can be mostly untouched. Thank you for helping your neighbours!

My Aunt Mary lived through that in Gordo also. A tree fell on her mobile home but thankfully she was unharmed through it all.🙏🏻

Prayers🙏 for y'all! My homestead of 20 yrs took a direct hit from a tornado during Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles, LA in August of 2020. We lost 99 percent of everything. It was an extremely challenging time, especially during the height of what was happening in 2020. We're still recovering as it's been a long process. We're now living in TN and starting over from scratch. We were homeless for a little while and had to re-home our animals as a result. My heart goes out to y'all and everyone in your town and community. The priceless gifts are God's amazing grace to carry us through and the ability to come together and help one another. Many continued prayers for all affected!🙏🙏

we lost our home after a rare tornado hit our community 23 yrs ago. We stayed and rebuilt, but we couldn’t have done it without God’s strength and the love and support of our family and friends! Oh Daniel. With tears streaming down my face you made me smile when you were standing at the creek and it's too high to cross. You looked at the camera and said "I can't just stand here." You headed across the neighbors pasture at a slow crawl - the fastest the Kato will go. I was still smiling. You were being a man, the way God intended a REAL man to be and at the same time, you were strong enough to let your feelings show. I'm 78 years old. I wish I had met someone like you when I was 20. I'm so sorry for the loss of the baby donkey but with the water as high as it was, it is a miracle you did not loose anymore. I have raised animals all my life and I know how it hurts to loose one. I pray that God's peace will wrap itself around Dee Jay. I have been and will continue to pray for all of you and everyone dealing with this horrible situation.
Small town folks just do different. We help each other even when we need it too. Why? Because a family & that's what a town is, take care of those in worse straits first. So glad the deaths weren't worse. Glad your MIL was with you. You might need to rig up a haltar lift into the shelter for future events, jic.

I haven’t cried watching this like this since 4/6/24 when my granddaughter was hit @70+ mph at a red light from a drunk driver and through the grace of God lived! In healing, I have been reminded yet again how strong prayers are to complete strangers. Know and remember that we are 110% praying for ALL OF YOU! You may think you didn’t make someone smile but through your kindness and helping there are people grateful for you and all the others helping. A smile doesn’t need to be shown. From here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, I say thank you. I never experienced a F4 tornado here until 1987, the devastation and 27 lives lost but it was the community coming together that helped get those affected through the heartbreak.

My heart goes out to everyone in Sulphur that was impacted. I lived in Wheeling WV near Wheeling Creek. Most of the time it was so low you could step on stones to cross it without your feet getting wet. There was a heavy rain that melted a lot of snow upstream in PA and it came downstream. The flooding Ohio River and the flooding creek met in our neighborhood. A bridge support had painted lines for every foot of water. It went from 1 foot to 25 feet overnight. That tiny creek had a hill on one side and it went up a gradual hill for 3 blocks. Our basement was half above ground. The water broke open the door and the water stopped just before the ceiling. Most homes were safe because they were brick but they were a mess. Most of our mulch went into the basement. It was replaced by river rocks.
Yes Daniel, you made many smile today. The donkeys, Charlie , the pups and the many people you helped out in your town. Mine sure De'jay and your kids are smiling. On top of all that you're a fine example of what a good man does for all in need. I watch Ryan Hall y'alls channel and I watch his weather team and storm chasers reporting all over and the tornadoes. I started praying for the safety of everyone. I continue to pray today. Bless you for having such a great heart. ❤

I've been seeing the pictures and videos of the tornados and that's terrifying. But with that said, I'm just as blown away with the flash flooding you experienced. Flash flooding is severely underrated by most. Praying for you and your community. We've been getting the word out about needs and donations. Let us know what else we can do.

Bummer. Sorry for your loss . . . been there myself. My homestead took a direct hit from an EF-3 twister about 12 years ago. It took the barn roof, turned a $40K travel trailer into $5K worth of scrap metal and "moved" my three bedroom house about 2 feet, completely destroying its livability . . . all in 8 seconds. I was inside the trailer when the wind broke two tie-down chains, lifted it, then slammed it down. Insurance covered most of the danage. I rebuilt out of concrete & steel AND I now have an underground shelter.

I am a Northern Virginia General contractor. To see all this framing lumber just kills me. I just hope it will not go to waste. Will there be entrepreneurs out there who can make a business of re-purposing these materials for the benefit of the re-build of Sulphur. My two favorite YT pages are Arms Family and Cross Timbers. I have re-purposed on my own in micro all my time in NV, but this was a calamity. I am rooting for your community and the resources it may recover. I would want to come down, but I'd just get in the way at my age. That is a source of frustration for us older guys.
73yo here totally agree in WESTMINSTER Md , x Navy Search And Rescue, election. Lord I feel so useless sending you my prayers, my energy, and clear thinking in such a trauma emergency. Just dig in and get it done. Afterward will be time to decompress & reflect. Remember God doesn’t give you more than He & You can’t handle in one day.

I watch a few people on RUclips..being elderly disabled & alone it's something to do. I THINK You & Your wife or Caring People. It Breaks My Heart about ALL the devastation & loss.. but your video of the loss of Your baby Donkey Breaks My Heart..and How You Talked to the Momma & the one next to Her laid her head next to Her and then on Her..Animals WHO ARE TRULY LOVED & CARED FOR DO THOSE KIND OF THINGS. There will be people coming in here saying you didnt do enough for the animals when you did all you should. You focused on human beings and because of that 93 year old grandma was kept safe. People are always more important than animals in the long run
If you want to keep animals then provide them with total safety in case of emergencies, or don’t keep animals at all!!!! They are not here so you have fun and make profits on their behalf! They have to be kept well, healthy and above all: Safe!!!

@@chrisbrook1505 They had never seen flooding like that before and had no clue that would happen. They take excellent care of their animals!!!! My parents were stuck in their house during a flash flood and had to be rescued by boat. Found out later a big tree had fell from heavy rain in to a creek near their house and got stuck on a bridge causing the creek to swell rapidly. They couldn't find their dog despite frantically looking for her. The water rose 3 foot up their main floor walls. This happened in the middle of the night and there obviously was no electricity. My brother waded down at daylight when the water receded and found her on top of my parent's bed. We thought she was gone.

the force of Mother Nature can be so cruel... Im in tears in seeing your beautiful little town destroyed .. I lived in a little down home town once that was destroyed when a dam broke and was flooded .. brought it all right back to me ... and the loss of lives and your sweet lil new donkey ... things can be replaced ..well some things but our lives can't .. my heart breaks for you all ... sending much love and prayers

I'm heartbroken for the loss of that baby donkey. Prayers for your community. Amory, MS took a direct hit from an EF3 tornado in March 2023. I personally didn't have any damage (except for my nerves) but it forever changed the landscape of Amory. Our little town still hasn't completely recovered.
When I woke and saw Sulphur on the national news feed, my heart sank. Still hard to look at all this and not shed a tear or a few hundred...I remember when you put the shelter in. Sending prayers to you all.
This is heartbreaking. I can't imagine what it was like to have endured these storms. So many lives have been destroyed. We all know that Oakies are very strong people and you all will come together and rebuild. Prayers to everyone.

Your giving heart in the face of your own issues is more than enough to make people smile. I’ve seen this kind of inspiration from a tornado disaster in my own home town 11 years ago. There are still great people who come together in tragedy like this and help those in need. God bless you and your community.
My husband and I will continue to keep your family and your community in our prayers. We live just east of Stillwater in Terlton, the tornadoes dwindled a bit before the main storm had reached us.

My heart goes out to you mom with the loss of her store. It looked like with all the helpers she was able to salvage some things. I hope you were able to get all your salvageable bison products before the electric company forced everyone to leave. I pray she had the right kind of insurance coverage to help make up for her losses. My heart aches for everyone whose lives were impacted - especially the family of the fatal casualty. 🙏

I'm so sorry for all the damage you have, the loss of a baby donkey. So glad you'll are alive and well. I've been thru several of tornados myself and the trauma it causes to you mentally and it's something you don't forget, just remember that God kept you safe.
