Piece of advice that I picked up on my way to my 30's: Get to a point where you are happy on your own to such a degree that you only see a boyfriend or girlfriend as a bonus. The icing on the cake. This way, next time someone comes into your life you wont be compelled to be totally devoted to putting them first and you wont completely put yourself on the backburner. Bottom line.....a significant other cannot make you happy. They can only make you happier.

I just think regardless of the commonly held opinions on love and relationships its important not to forget about yourself and that your priority should always be ensuring that YOU are happy. I know it might sound selfish but I really believe it.

Hey, and i'm so sorry to hear that! But well for me the most important thing to start of with, was that I was no longer going to let that affect on my future life. The pain is so okay to get out of your system first, through crying etc. it really helps. But here's the tip; FOCUSE ON YOURSELF. The morning after this person had left me, I went straight to the gym, and let all my anger and feelings out, by working out :D I can honestly say it really helped. To focuse on your well being is so important, you can't just stay in your couch and eat your feelings, that could get out of hand very easily. Just remember that even though this person left your life, doesn't mean you have to forget your life too. You're important and something better is coming if you continue to choose to be happy xx

It'd going to go under eventually, because the emotions will change eventually. A committed relationship is built on dedication and shared goals rather than feelings. Basing a relationship on flighty feelings is like only going to the gym when you feel like it. Basing a relationship on goals and commitment is going to the gym on schedule every week even when your energy is low and you're stressed out. And one last thing: No one is "made for eachother". People change to fit each other over time. If you meet someone you're close to fitting already, that's fortunate, but it's no guarantee that the two of you won't change in ways that make you less of a match over time. It requires effort to stay synced up.

Someone can be madly in love with you and still not be ready. They can love you in a way that you've never been loved before and still not be ready to join you on the bridge. Whatever their reasons are, you have to leave, because you should never have to inspire anyone to meet you at that place. Love is not just love.. it's a choice, it's hard work, it's tears and even glimpses of devastation, but at the end of the day, if you can say you wouldn't rather have anyone else by your side, then the love is worth all the tears and pain. But I learned the hard way as well, that people change and not every blessing is meant to be permanent. Especially when there are so many extraordinary loves out there to be had. You went through this relationship to be better equipped for the next one ;)

To be 100% honest...when you started crying I did too...I'm proud of CG for all he's done and accomplished...but those are materialistic things that won't last forever. Love does, and I don't wanna be disrespectful or anything but he shoulda used the 80-20 rule. 80% into what should be most important and for me that would be what matters most ex: family, friends and and if you're in a relationship then with the person you love and care for most.. Then 20% into the business etc. keep your head up Nikki. We all love you and wish you the best, I hope you find someone who is as passionate into fitness as you are and will want to experience things with you and travel together and make memories cause those last long, ppl don't.
