There is another type of break up no one talks about. It is when both of you care, but both of you cannot get close enough, but you still try till one party gives up. It is a sense that everything could have been fixed but lack of ability to express yourself fully leads to eventual coldness and end of relationship. You get nothing except emptiness and uncovered feelings. Like death of a small tree, which could have become big oak but didn't become one. Nothing but sadness looking at such situations.

I’m sitting in my truck listening to this video again after my second break up. Hurts so bad I feel my chest getting heavy. I loved her and she just left me without any hesitation. I got dumped last night.
I told him to do what he wants and what he thinks is best for him , I won’t beg him nor will I do anything to stop him. And he chose to leave, he said he doesn’t love me the same anymore, he said he lied to me that he really loved me a lot (just 2 hours ago).
I said okay go if that’s what you want, I’ve begged you the last time you wanted to leave and I gave you 1 month to love me again but if you still don’t feel anything and is this suffocated you can leave.
And that was it, he left.
This morning I despised him and hated him for all the false promises he made but right now in the evening, I miss him and can’t stopped crying.
Never in my life have I thought this man that fought so much to get me would let me go through this hell.

This guy worshipped me . He did so much for me . We talked for about 8 months before he proposed to me and we were great together. We had fun , we connected emotionally . It was great . He was very mature and loving even after 9 months of the relationship . During disagreements He often stressed how great we were together and how he sees us settling together. He wouldn't let any small misunderstanding or flaw end something as perfect as what we have. I felt blessed to have someone like him . I treasured hum and both of us made each other feel in love .
After all this, he broke up with No concrete reason . He made me go through hell without a care . I too held my head high and didn't beg or anything . I did make an effort for him to speak his heart to me , to try and understand him but he said he didn't love me anymore and doesn't wanna stay .
I was left in a complete state of disbelief. I respected him too much to think he could do something like this to me .

@@Timothee_022 hi its going to be about 3 months now and I'm doing really well, i don't love him as much as i loved him before. I miss him though but I've come to accept that not all people are meant to stay in our lives, some people that hurt us are blessing in disguise, they're not bad people but they played the role that was given to them by universe and left after finishing their job. I don't despise him but im so grateful to him as he treated me with love and respect the 2 years we dated, the ending wasnt that great but it was a very necessary leason for me, ive learned alot in these 3 months, Ive learned how to let things go with the flow without whining how its not how i wanted it to be. It’s the same for all men. Somehow they have this hold on their emotions to the point where it’s easy leaving your loved one rather than fight or make efforts. My ex apologised for this one mistake he kept on making and I believed his words every time he said he wouldn’t do it. And the last time I confronted him about it when he made that mistake again he told me that somehow it was my fault because of one thing I did years back that he’s still not over. So the only reason he kept doing that thing was because he was still mad at me. But here’s the thing he also apologised for no reason. All that promises of changing didn’t mean a thing. Double faced much. That’s when I realised he has changed he’s not the same anymore,he would be happy to let me go. I had begged him from the past 1-2 years to make efforts and give us a chance, all this to realise that he would actually be happy without me and that’s what he wanted. Broke me tbh but I made that decision for him. I let him go. He never tried to get back ever since and I feel like I made the right decision. Hurts like hell but I’m pulling myself up. So the lesson is I don’t trust men (not in a bad way) no matter how vulnerable they show themselves to be they’re much stronger than that. They can love you today and hate you tomorrow that just how it works

Never getting to see someone again is sometimes less difficult than wondering who you’ll see them with 😔at least with death you can kinda make peace with it, it’s final and you work through your grief without all the constant worry of bumping into them or wondering where they are

Its been a year since Ive posted this comment and so far I’ve been doing well (tried new things like pursuing my hobbies etc.) To all the people going through their breakup, i just want to say that you are not alone. We are all strangers from across the world yet we are going through the same thing as you are. Its going to be tough for sure. 1. Trauma and pain in loss, pleading for us to work it out as she left with no remorse.
2. Realizing my love for her is drifting when i didnt want them to. Asking for closure and being rejected in even getting that.
3. The realization after she admitted she pretended to love me in our final year until I lost value to her. That got me over her and now i finally have picked myself back up.
Everyones steps to recovery are different but time helps alot. 1 month and 19 days later I am back on my feet finally.

I am an alcoholic. My girlfriend of 7 months, the love of my life gave me an ultimatum. Stop drinking or it’s over. I made it 2 months sober, then slipped up and somehow convinced myself i could get a drink for that night. She showed up at my place and caught me drinking. One lesson i learned from a very long relationship full of betrayal and lies is that no matter how much you care about someone, understand that the world doesnt revolve only around then.
I know many of us, want to support and be always there for the person we love.
This is what love does and is right.

Working through a divorce with my highschool sweetheart right now. To say it hurts would be a massive understatement. Looking back though, I'm grateful for everything that has happened. I got broken up with a day before our 9 months, we were super close and it hurt really bad. It especially hurt to know that it ended because of life, he needed time to go off to college and spend time with family so it hurts to know that he still has feelings but we can’t do anything about it. Ive lost my first ever relationship 6 hours ago, i kinda expected it the Past months were filled with me being paranoid and fearing losing her and her stopping to care about me. It was weird she texted me back Like every 3 days but when i was with her she was so caring and loving and told me Everything that happend recently. Then i was the happiest but when i got home she Never answered texts and i feared losing her so much again. I told this to my two bestfriends and they helped me be „prepared“ for the time i was going to loose her so that now that it Happend i dont beg on my knees again to continue but can try to move on. I'm 35 and on week 2 we were together for 11 years as well with no children then out of the blue he says he's moving out no explanation no nothing . However, I can say now that at 3 months I feel much better, so hang in there it does get better trust me, you might not think it at this moment in time, but you'll look back and see your improvement.
You haven't wasted time, someone, somewhere, whatever you believe in was really looking out for you, you don't need someone who cleary doesn't respect you in your life, so they removed themselves.
I promise you, you will find peace, once you rebuild your life, and find someone (if thats what you want) you'll thank him for setting you free. The best gift is now your freedom, its up to you how you use it.
Dont worry about your age, your still young and don't rush it, good things take time, make sure your properly healed first. Once, you can be indifferent to your ex you'll no your ready.

Hey, is it weird that I'm feeling my life has no meaning now? She left me out of the blue this morning without telling a good reason. Last night we talked nicely, she even said she loves me and that she doesnt want me to disappear.

@@Ichigo-gp9vq It's not werid at all, I felt pretty simular the first month or so. You will go into shock, i.e. out the blue, not sleeping eating etc. This is because we evolved in tight social groups and thus brekaing up with someone is like being thrown out of your tribe, you now have to survive by yourself. However, you'll likely have close friends and family so try and reconnect with them. My breakup has led to me improving my relationship with friends and family.
Your life has plenty of meaning, like me you put your ex on a pedestal and thus she was the meaning of your life, you likely had your own purpose before you met her, so try and regain it, but it does take time. Once, you start to live your life for yourself, you'll actually thank you ex for dumping you, that may seem strange now, but sometimes its a wake up call that you need, everything else in your life will improve and in time youll be ready to meet your next partner, if thats what you want.
I can remember the same out of the blue feeling, but again many people are very poor communicators and wont really tell you the honest truth. You in time will realise that you dont actually need a reason, judge people by their actions, and her action is that she has left you, you don't leave people you love.
Honestly, as hard as it is, if you dont need contact i.e. you have kids, then go no contact and remove any pictures etc for your room or phone. Its very hard because you'll be craving her attention like a drug addict, but its the only way you'll get over her. Also all the stuff about her still loving you and wanting to be friends is total bullshit, I'm sorry to be harsh but women will say this just to be nice, or to keep you as a backup plan. Again I'd advisd you to go no contact, if you want to be friends in the future once your recovered, then so be it, but right now just cut her out.
I hope this helps bud, please just give yourself some time, don't make rash decsions, as your emotions will be running high and that can led to recklessness. It really does get better, I promise you in 3 months time you'll look back and be proud of where you are. Keep going your doing great, life has some nuch in store for you.

Update: looking back at this relationship, It was actually very toxic and I'm glad it ended. I just didn't realize that when I was in love.
Just as somebody said ten days ago, for me now it is true: "second break up, second time watching this"... that part caught me by surprise because you basically predicted the future when you said "I'll see you when you go through your next breakup." You were right. This is such a good, real, accurate, and self-aware video.
Also, I noticed that you wisely avoided the often misguided male tendency to give advice to people going through hard times. Instead, you wisely just empathized with them, giving them what could be considered non-advice when your only suggestion was to "just keep swimming". Very, very good.
