When I saw “Dog Sled” in the title, I was confused because Beau can barely be convinced to drag the weight of his own body from Point A to Point B, much less anything else. Then I watched and realized what you meant was “Eric and Arielle build a palatial, carpeted chariot so that Beau and Bandit can see the world without exerting themselves or feeling chilly” and that made far more sense.
When you are walking in to set your snares , keep your feet close together and take baby steps. It creates a funnel for the animals to walk on. Animals in the wild will always take the path of least resistance , especially in the snow. Great job.
Bo and Bandit have nicer beds and lives than I do... I also loved Bos face at the end "yah this is a pretty nice view, and we get to hang out with mom in our sled"
Not just sled for dogs, if one of u have an injury it could help with transport. I enjoy watching your adventure. Both of you have great ideas. Weather it’s gardening, fishing, raising chickens, food storage and much more! 😃
That’s the happiest Bo’s been on camera in some time. Looking out the big front window, going for a sled ride, that tail just couldn’t stop wagging. Great idea guys looking out for your fur babies. Stay safe.
Dog sled- more like dogmobile- love it. You 2 are as daft as me & mine. 👍-Says alot about a person on how they treat their dog. Love me-love my dog 👍 5🎆
Wolves tend not to wander around, they usually head in one direction as where a Lynx will walk back and forth and scour an area....also if you look really close you my find fur on branches or in the tracks, lynx will go through and under braches where wolves tend to pick the easiest route.
Nice job; If you melt the holes slightly in the plastic windshield with a heat gun or small tourch after you drill the holes, it will help the plastic from splitting. Great video, thanks.
That dog sled is perfect for their personalities: Bo is content to watch out the front (so cute) and Bandit ready to jump out the back and onto the trail!!
As you were removing the protective vinyl from the plastic sheet I was yelling 'Oh noooooo!! That's gonna crack!!' Plastic sheeting 101: mark and drill your holes first, first in.your project, then on your plastic. THEN remove the protective stickies, THEN install. Also, prefer diamond head drill bits, to flat ones when drilling into plastic. At least it cracked on the corner, so you can still attach it 😄
I'd say those are lynx tracks, their favorite food is rabbit. Love the dog sled project. Some food for thought I'd suggest: 1. Acrylic (as you found out) is brittle and breaks into sharp shards. If you can find polycarbonate, much better choice. A mishap could result in serious cuts to the dogs. 2. Reflectix used as a layer between tub/pad will keep heat in/cold out more efficiently. Also, Reflectix and that foil tape to add an internal layer, with some foam between the aluminum framework. And a roll-up door at the back of carpet/Reflectix/tarp to further retain heat, block the wind, discourage them from jumping out during travel. 3. Instead of the strips of foam, strips of plywood. Add Teflon strips on the outside of the tub, counter-sunk screws intoTeflon and biting into the plywood, silicone to seal the penetrations. A little extra rigidity, and less wear/tear on the plastic tub. Teflon runners can be replaced. Also makes for a fine canine camping condo, which is portable. Rock on you two, love how you work together so well. Great content too.
Eric, thanks for sharing your life in the tropics of South central Ak. I am able to email you because I am in North Pole, but live in Bettles, 250 miles above the arctic circle. Two things that may help you. First, the attachment point for your first snare was way too light. It can twist off those little limbs in cold weather especially. The track you were wondering about is from a large lynx, and it is even larger because the deeper the snow gets, the wider they flex their snowshoe toes to keep up with the bunnies. I have been away from internet for many months. What happened to your root cellar? Ariel mentioned it failed in one episode but I could not find why. Hope to share a neighbor's satellite internet this winter so I hope to keep in touch. God keep you both safe. Arctic Circle Dave
I bet if you laid down a 3"thick piece of foam rubber on top of the carpet in the dog sled the dogs would sleep on cloud 9 all the way to the cabin. Bumps be gone. Your travel time out there could be cut in half as well because you could go faster. Test it out first by going for a ride over bumps just to see what it would be like for the dogs :-)
Your dogs have it made!! How awesome you both are ! I can’t say enough awesome things about you both, cause you are just very Grateful young people and work so extremely hard at all things you both do! ❤
You two are the hardest working people I know. Your work ethic is outstanding. Thank you so much for all the effort that you make to entertain and educate us!
Creative fun for the dogs! Shows the love you have for them, as you said they are both old in years and can’t take the cold, but still want to be with both of you. Plus, if you get stranded, at least you have some shelter!
Looks like a lynx, bobcat tracks look the same. They partially step in their front paw print with their hind paw which creates that elongated looking print. Very cool!!
Your lynx is competing with you and eating them up... Looks like it could be a momma hauler too. ;) Maybe a flap door at the rear would be good once they got in, so it would keep wind down.
😂 😂 Love you see you too again... And really liked the caring about your Pet's... I can understand as I have a German Shepherd (GSD)and he is just 19 months old now but we can't even think to leave him apart from us for few hours.. He is like our family member... Love you guys...
If I could make a suggestion... a stiffener strip under lip inside the tub where the top attaches to the tub and bolt top in sandwich... tubing, tub rail and stiffener strip on bottom sandwich... All stress as it is now will be in just the 6 bolts to plastic where bolts are and nothing but plastic underneath where nut and washer to keep it from pulling thru plastic from vibration. A strip running from front to back of tub under the lip will spread the stress along length of the tub and top and not just points where nuts are... No dissing design, GREAT idea! Just a suggestion to strengthen contact area.
I love the fact that you’ve done this for your dogs! I bought an SUV several years ago that was on the lower end just so that I can put my dogs in it and take them places and people thought I was crazy. Great job I’m sure they’ll enjoy it
Love how Beau was totally into it and was comfy looking out the window of his new personal limo. Bandit on the other hand was jonesing to get out ASAP.
That is such a nice present for the pups! I especially liked the end where arielle got inside & showed how nice & quiet it is in there for them. You might want to think about putting some pad & carpet too on the inside sides so it stays a little bit warmer & maybe also a roll down fabric for the back in case it snows or rains; as it will keep that out. Actually, if you're out & the snowmobile should ever break down, you guys have a shelter! Oh, one other suggestion, you might to take some black fabric with you, rolled up, so of you do have a problem, you can be spotted from the air - contrasting black on snow...
We have rabbits on our property. We do the same loop daily with our dogs. When ever we see tracks, they are never the same path. Not to mention they are weeks apart for new ones. Same for deer tracks. We did find huge wolf tracks following deer tracks. Fresh snow and fresh tracks. Always a good day.
First of all you guys have a great channel! I have a couple of tips for working with acrylic. Drilling acrylic is best done with a 60 degree pointed drill bit. You can sharpen an old HSS drill bit to make one. You can bond acrylic with acetone, there will be no apparently visible seam that way. Also make certain the hardware holding the acrylic in place isn’t too tight as it tends to grow and shrink a lot with changing temperatures and may break and crack if it can’t move!

Lol! So true for these special fur babies!
Snap I did wonder when I saw the title
omg so dam cute seeing the dogs looking out the window.....what a ride
Bo is such a sweet old soul!
The sled you made for your dogs is absolutely GREAT!!!
When you are walking in to set your snares , keep your feet close together and take baby steps. It creates a funnel for the animals to walk on. Animals in the wild will always take the path of least resistance , especially in the snow. Great job.
You two are kindhearted. You thought of what is good for your dogs. You treat your dogs like human beings💕
Bo and Bandit have nicer beds and lives than I do...
I also loved Bos face at the end "yah this is a pretty nice view, and we get to hang out with mom in our sled"
For super-cold days, add a roll-down vinyl or canvas door that ties or snaps shut. Looks like the dogs really like it, great idea!
Linx population grows as the rabbit's population dwindle.... Then back again. Big 💖 for you folks and the pooches. Thanks for sharing.
Not just sled for dogs, if one of u have an injury it could help with transport. I enjoy watching your adventure. Both of you have great ideas. Weather it’s gardening, fishing, raising chickens, food storage and much more! 😃
Or if one just wants to get a rest from the elements, you can take turns riding with your fury family-:) I’m sure they won’t mind😃👍🏼❤️
That's so nice that you 2 take care of your 4 legged babies now they don't feel left out they seemed to be enjoying themselves and comfortable 😎👍👍
I wish all puppies could be so loved...♥️
That’s the happiest Bo’s been on camera in some time. Looking out the big front window, going for a sled ride, that tail just couldn’t stop wagging. Great idea guys looking out for your fur babies. Stay safe.
Making sure your old dogs are warm and comfy? You guys rock 👍🏻👍🏻
Just throw in a blanket and the dogs are real cozy; and room for Arielle too. Cheers.
I LOVE that you did this for your babies!!! thank you!
Your such good parents..I'm sure your dog's will love their new sled...
Always thinking of your animals comfort!
Love your videos.
That dog sled is the cutest thing ever. You two are such good dog parents.
Dog sled- more like dogmobile- love it. You 2 are as daft as me & mine. 👍-Says alot about a person on how they treat their dog. Love me-love my dog 👍 5🎆
Most definitely my Babygirl is my everything she’s the queen of this palace lol I come second 🙄❤️😂
I love the way you dote on your furry family members and find ways to include them on your adventures. 👍👍👍❤💯
I love to see people who truly love their animals.
Interesting that one dog likes to see where it's headed and the other where it's been. Love it!
I've been watching ur program for a few years now. Keep up the good work and be blessed and remember you have the whole world in your hands
You could put a cargo net or canvas curtain on the back so the other dog will look out the front window . Adorable
Great idea. Toss blankets in for them!
I immediately thought the same thing.
That was so cool! Them dogs need extra , they are 10 years! That build was thinking of your dogs comfort. Great Video~
y'all are such great dog parents....wow..just wow. love this
I just looked up the track. It appears to be an elephant.
Lolol
*woolly mammoth
Lol
Its totally a sasquatch print! You didn't see Bigfoot move thru the video?!
haha thats awesome guys! Then Mom hops in the back too, love you guys!
Wolves tend not to wander around, they usually head in one direction as where a Lynx will walk back and forth and scour an area....also if you look really close you my find fur on branches or in the tracks, lynx will go through and under braches where wolves tend to pick the easiest route.
My mind is blown that Bo and Bandit are the same age
Put a couple of big, fluffy blankies in there and it'd be perfect!
Its so great how you two love your dogs so much, I bet they end up with some blankets in there as well.
pretty clever dog house 😊
Arielle drives bolts the same way she stuns fish. Love it!
Your dogs are riding is style now and no wind in their faces.
Bo and Bandit look quite happy with their new sled!
Nice job; If you melt the holes slightly in the plastic windshield with a heat gun or small tourch after you drill the holes, it will help the plastic from splitting. Great video, thanks.
That dog sled is wonderful! Little Beau is loving it! Bandit likes it too. Perfect.
Now that’s the way all doggies should be treat. Love it!!!
That dog sled is perfect for their personalities: Bo is content to watch out the front (so cute) and Bandit ready to jump out the back and onto the trail!!
Just wait till the dogs that pull the sleds see this rig . There's gonna be mutiny in the sled dog world. Great job !
Some sort of door on the back to keep the dogs in and protected. Also good for keeping equipment from bouncing out on big bumps.
Y’all..... that was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen anyone make for their dogs. Get a patent on that thing. Great job. 🤗🐕🦺🦮
What a great idea! Bo was so happy as the tail wagging proved. Very cool you guys.
For Christmas, id like a video every other day for like a week!!!! Hahaha. (I wanted to say everyday). Just love your videos. Thanks again!
That sled is wonderful!! You both are such great parents to Beau and Bandit.

It's not the dog sled I expected, but it's the dog sled I needed. So cute to see then enjoying the ride ❤️
I love seeing spoiled doggos
I'd say those are lynx tracks, their favorite food is rabbit.

Omg the dogs look adorable in their caboose, so nice that you went to the work to enable them to enjoy winter outings in comfort!! Good job!
Ok Now , that thing needs some christmas Lights! lol I love it! I love the boys!
Super cool you can take your kids for a ride. BO was so happy.😁👍

I love old dogs. Look at that tail wag, because he can look out the window while he rides.

Definitely lynx....here kitty, kitty, lol.
Beau is loving the sled ❤❤❤
Awesome dog owners. Lucky dogs.
Nice dog sled for the old boys. Hindsight, would use washers for the siding to not go through it as easy and hold more surface space.
😂 😂 Love you see you too again... And really liked the caring about your Pet's... I can understand as I have a German Shepherd (GSD)and he is just 19 months old now but we can't even think to leave him apart from us for few hours.. He is like our family member...
Love you guys...
Linx, cool. Now I know what a Linx print looks like. I learn so much from watching you all.
That’s awesome! I’m glad your dogs figured it out and have learned to stay in it.
Nice dog sled I just love how u guys take such good care of the dogs and they r a big part of ur family...Have fun on ur trip and plz be safe!!!!
That is so cool for the dogs to stay warmer!
So amazing! So awesome you are making sure your kiddos don't miss out.
If I could make a suggestion... a stiffener strip under lip inside the tub where the top attaches to the tub and bolt top in sandwich... tubing, tub rail and stiffener strip on bottom sandwich...

I love the sled! Bo looks to be feeling his age these days. I also love the Alaskan way, "necessity is the mother of invention."
Love it and they will also once they get used to it. Now trying to patiently wait for the next video.
So this is what Happily Ever After looks like for Prince Eric and Princess Ariel.
Cat track !!! awesome sled !!!!!! The Dogs have it made !!!
I love Bo's tail wag patterns!
They were settling down in the sled. I saw a wagging tail, sure it was slow but there....lol.....good it carried three looks good..🐾👣🌲
Looking like a Lynx walked through there.
Bow was happy he continously wagging his tail, and really appreciate the way you take care of your dogs. Amazing video always love it 🙌😇
I love the fact that you’ve done this for your dogs!
Y'all treat your dogs better than my wife treats me.
Learn 2 "wag" your tail.
That's sad
Beau is loving it! Thanks for sharing. God bless
Yep the dogs seem to agree!!
That is such a nice present for the pups!

Yes! You're calling it a snow machine now!
Looks like lynx.. they have massive paws to stay on top of the snow!
Happy dogs! Love that you accommodate their needs as they age!
Good job on the dog sled. When I saw the title, I was glad to see they would get one, knowing they were getting up there in age.
That is so nice of you to build this special sleigh for the doggies! They will love it!
Hello, dog sledding is a great idea. And they seem to like it just as much.
Great video! I love that you've upgraded the sled for the pups. They want to go, too! You guys are great pup parents!
that gives new meaning to "dog sled team"! ;) some mighty jealous dogs out there I'll bet!
