In this video I show you all how I like to blow dry my kinky thick coarse 4a, 4b, 4c hair with little to no breakage and reduced manipulation. I NEVER get heat damage when I do this routine. This way is the quickest and most effective way to blow dry my thick hair. This process also gives my the least amount of tension on my strands even though this method is called the tension method. I find that doing my hair this way causes less tangles and ensures that I get the sleekest look possible in my natural hair regimen. Make sure to always apply a heat protectant to protect your hair from heat damage. Using any direct heat may cause damage to natural hair but you want to me very careful. What is also important to make sure you are using protein before and after blow drying your kinky natural hair. This ensures that your hair is being protected and also that your hair strands have strength. I will leave all products used down before that work best for curly, coily, kinky, 4a, 4b, 4c natural hair. If you have questions, leave them down below.

FYI, Oil is a heat protection! I normally use raw organic shea butter! Leaves my hair moisturized, shiny, and protects my mane
yea, it definitely is. But i don't like to suggest certain things like that because it could cause heat damage.. so i just say use a heat protectant.. in general... but i don't use them , because I rarely blow dry my hair at all, this is my second time this year. and oils work well for me too!!
What’s your texture and porosity
Yeah Shea butter is the bomb for heat styling. I need to stop listening to these new age hair gurus. Back in the day we had thick long hair with regular presses using pressing OIL.
I be using coconut oil for everything 😳 *nods head*... Join this bandwagon 😂😂🤣
It is! I personally just use the LOC method and never get heat damage
Yass for that length check ✔️
Yass ofc do one plz
It’s nice to see someone do this with the same exact texture as mine !
Look at that growth!😍🙌🏽
Hoo chile you got a FULL head of hair! I love it! Keep slaying queen
Gurl you have a head of hair. Congrats on your pregnancy. What are you going to do with your blow-dried hair?
thank you and I did my latest bantu knot video.. its on my channel
I love your channel. You have a beautiful spirit!
Wow, I love that you used your own hands for tension, barely relying on the brush. Genius!
Thank you very much!
Your hair looks very healthy, love the method...tfs doll 😘
Much needed thank you for this video!
Your hair is so thick and lovely. Using different sections and punning down is a great idea. I used to do this tension method until my hair decided nope not no more. I wish I still could do this. I need the comb attachment otherwise it stays a tangled mess
Thank you very much!! Yea I understand, infuse my revair now so Its one less step
this video gives me everything i needed to know i na condensed format and not full of extra stuff thats not helpful. so i thank you so much going to try doing this myself this weekend and need courage to make those trims that i so desperately need after 3 years
this is sooo satisfying i loveee smooth kinky hair omllll🙌🏾💖💖😫😫
I LOVED this method!! 10/10

Wow, thank you!
Thank you for this video! My twins have 4c hair and I have just started using these products! I love them. I’m going to try blow drying their hair for the first time, wish me luck! ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
I just subscribed because we have the same texture. Enjoy watching your videos!
Notification gang!!
Notification gang gang💁😘👌🤗💃
You’re hair is so pretty!
Oh thank you!
Your hair is gorgeous coming directly out of a wash. Sections seem to clump together as though it's already styled. 💙
thank you ! it has taken my hair a while to do that on its on.. its from deep conditioning a ton and also hydrating my hair. For the most post if you hair has ultra hydration then your hair will naturally start to clump better.
Yes I started to do wash and go everyday with vaseline and mine is like this with coils from the root
Thank you for sharing! I have 4c hair and really want to keep breakage to a minimum. ❤
Your hair is beautiful!
Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing...do a length check
Beautiful haelthy hair ❤
Thanks a lot for sharing 💖💖💖
Your hair is so beautiful

I've been wanting to blow dry my hair since last month but this heat! Sheesh! Lol I'll wait till school starts back!
Idk why but my hair feels SO DRY after a blowout even though I add enough moisture ☹️
i definitely understand. even with adding moisture my hair feels dryer than when it is in its kinky state. and i think that has a lot to do with just our texture.. our kind of feels dry naturally and when blow drying it can take anyway some of that moisture as well.. but you have to learn the difference between how your hair feels in all ways... also make sure you are deep conditioning enough prior... i deep condition weekly and my moisture in my hair is a lot different than when i first started going natural.. also make sure you do a good treatment beforehand too... also you can pretty much use anything to style your hair in a blow dried state, but i still add a little water while styling, my hair needs it.
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I’ll definitely try deep conditioning before my next blowout.
@@BubsBee when I add water when my hair is blowdryded it starts to shrink which is why I don’t add water while it’s like this
So fluffy!
Your curls 🥰🥰
thank you
Nice💕
I'd be able to blow dry my hair if I could actually get a comb through it to detangle it. 😭
Damp hair and plenty of conditioner will do. Or even soaking wet hair in the shower with conditioner will also help a lot💯
CurlyNella1011 its still not helping🥺
@@theon3pieceisreal smaller sections, with a good detangling product and a wide tooth comb.
Coconut Oil water and a wide tooth comb will be your friend sis...just go at it in small sections....
@@theon3pieceisreal you understand
Is the pulling method better than using a comb?
Thank you 😊
Welcome!
Nice head of hair😍 since big chopping & going natural 2yrs ago I haven't touched a blow dryer since. My hair has grown a lot (from 2" to now 11") & i'm often tempted to blow dry but somewhat hesitant
thank you and that is awesome !!! GROWTH !! But i keep the blow drying to next to nothing, this is the second time this year I have blow dried my hair. I only do it for a certain look I am trying to achieve.
My problem is always getting tangles when I try to use the comb attachment on my dryer. Even if I detangled beforehand
i understand, that is why i do this method because the comb attachment it too much tension on my strands especially because i am tender headed
I find it much easier to blow dry with a separate comb instead of the attachment
So pretty !
Yaaasssssss🙌🏾
Hi bugs!, have you seen the Revlon brush blow dryer? Check it out it might cut some of that time down and make it a little easier!😚😚😚!!!
Yes, I have seen it, and so many reviews but i personally wouldn't want to use that because it brush and can cause more tension and breakage that normal. I like the method I am doing in this video because I'm not going over my hair multiple times with a paddle brush.. i stick to less manipulation as possible.
Ahh! I’m gonna go attempt this right now. Wish me luck lol
You got this !
Same
❤️❤️❤️ yes to length check tfs
that hair clean as hell.. looking like lions mane
Appreciate that
Question have you received any heat damage while using the comb attachment and how often do you blow dry your hair?
No I have never gotten heat damage from using the comb. I don't blow out my hair often. Since the beginning of the year I have only blew out my hair twice.
Beautiful results!!! I would really love to see you do a product review of Straight Silk by JuniorLabs. It really maintains my hair light and silky ❤️❤️
thanks for the request, i have never heard of that before, i will check that out.
Can i use a moisturizer in general if i don't have a leave in or blow dry cream then a heat protectant
Definitely I do that all the time..
Thank u so muchhhg
You're welcome!
Can u tell me where to find the brush you use to detangle? Please im new being natural 🙏🏾

What do you use to keep your blow out hair moistureized daily ?
using i go straight into styling, to ensure my hair stays soft, while blow drying, your hair drys out some. so using a custard, or a styling cream works for me, but you curls will revert some if the product contains water. but the style will last 10 to 12 days, and by then it is time to remoisturize.
I, got a question so is it liquid blow dry then oil then cream to lock in the moisture
with blow drying your hair will be dry, i would suggest leave in, a little oil then blow dry. then you can style with a styling product. moisture usually lasts almost 2 weeks, then will need to remoisturize.
@@BubsBee oh thanks sis
Whats wrong with using the comb attachment?
I personally just don't use it. Causes too much damage to my hair
Are you supposed to use a leave in and than a oil?
yes
Can you do lco before you blow dry
yes you can do whatever you want. your hair will probably be a little heavier. not lightweight. but it all depends on what you like.
How can it not feel dry when the blow dryers evaporating the water?
How is not using combs, and brushes working for you? Notice a change in your hair?
its going well. Yes there is a big change. I am not getting as much breakage and shedding as i was before when I was using combs and brushes all the time. Less stress on my strands and I feel as though i am retaining a lot more length and hair in general. Finger detangling is definitely the best for me, i can feel the knots and tangles and do not have to worry about a hair tool taking out more hair than needed.
How often do you blow dry your hair?
Not often at all, every other month maybe.
What is your hair porosity?
Low
How often do you blow dry?
Not often, every other month.
Wait I'm kinda confuse didn't you cut your hair ???🤔
wait what?
No, it was her mom.
Bubs Bee Lol. I believe she meant to say "didn't YOU cut your hair"?
Srry meant to say you yepp
Have you been manipulating your hair alot? I noticed you said you don't use combs any more. Of course I'd love to see a length check.
I have a length check playlist on my channel, and my hair was recovering from post partum shedding and breakage so I stopped using combs for more than 6 months, but im back to using them when need, like on wash day.
Bubs Bee Ook yeah I noticed it wasn't as thick as it usually is. Ok perfect I'll go check it out tyfs.
Nice. How did you style it?
I did a bantu knot out, the video is on my channel
Bubs Bee okay thanks I’m sure I’ve seen it.
Beautiful hair, but it doesn’t look like 4C. Where can I find videos that actually resemble 4C hair? 4C hair is more coily. Especially after washing, it shrinks about 80/90%
thanks most people with 4c hair has a mixture of textures. you will never find anyone with only 4c curls all over.
@@BubsBee I have 4C, virgin natural, no mix texture. It’s possible.
This isn’t 4c. Why would you put that into the title. 🤦🏽♀️
aniimeallure girl u think she ain’t know what her own hair type is? 🙄
It is 4c .. that's her curl pattern
It looks like damp / stretched 4c
Stop with these comments. The hair typing community is so damn toxic. First of all the man who made the curl pattern chart didn't even have 4c in there originally because he said "4c was the only texture that needed a perm" but you guys are using his curl pattern chart to attack others. Second of all, different types of cameras can make your hair look more define. Different products as well. Third of all, no one has ONE hair texture. Some people may have straight hair in the back, some might have 4b in the front, one side is more easier than the other. So just stop with these "YOU'RE NOT 4C" comments. 4C isn't just hair that looks dry and non-moisturized.
@@spongebob8157 girl syau she said it herself that her hair is mixed with 4b. obviously we wouldn’t know that cause my hair is fully 4c and doesn’t look like that. and it is very much moisturized , idk why y’all always assume when someone has 4c hair that it’s “dry” bet y’all wouldn’t say that about any other hair type so just stfu
This is not 4C, but nice video
It is, with some 4b, it’s just longer than people usually see
Are you sure that’s 4C hair sis???
4c, 4b.

If you’re not a beginning natural, you really don’t need heat protectant. Of course, don’t go out of your way to use methods that could cause heat damage and breakage. However, if you’ve been natural for 4+ years, you’re hair is healthier, and a heck of a lot stronger than what you’re giving it credit for. But if you like to use heat protectant (because they usually smell wonderful) then “Chef Dont Judge” 😌 lol
