Now THIS is what i call 4 hair not these other youtubers baiting us for views. Thank God i am short short. I just worry about my girls who hve hair like this. God bless us 4c girls
Almost 3 hours to detangle???? #subscribed Thank you for being real, other youtubers act like it takes 10 mins lol Finally a real kinky textured hair!!
mzlareine1105 It really depends on your hair type when it comes to detangling. I have type 3 hair and it takes me about 5 mins to detangle. It really depends on your hair type
mzlareine1105 - Careful detangling takes so much time. I'm trying to learn to enjoy the process LOL since I do my own hair as well as my two little daughters.
It takes hours to do my 10 year old daughter’s hair; it always has. Thank you for being real and letting me know that I am not alone. Everyone is always trying to tell me what they would do, but she is very tender-headed as well. I just thought I was a bad mom because everyone acts like I should just be able to do it. God Bless You!!!
@Kim McTeer you can use coconut oil and massage and moisturize her hair and wash it wver 2 weeks after washing dry and comb same time telling you my mother tips my mom use these methods on my hair and it is great just don't stop using it 🙂 my hair is still tender headed but when combing this method works great for her
Me too girl! The struggle is so real. My daughter is 9 and I literally sit for hours to just detangling Mme her before I even think of styling it. So good to know I am not alone
Don't feel bad mine does the same and so does my daughter. You're not alone people do me the same way. They be thinking I don't want to do her hair or take her to a stylist. I know they don't have the same patience I have. Sad that people think they can tell you what to do when they don't know the situation.
this was SOO helpful!! I didn’t really get taught how to manage my hair growing up and I struggle with depression which causes me to neglect my hair for days at a time and it gets real matted but with these techniques I was able to get half of my hair completely untangled in under 30 minutes
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me.
Thia video is changing my life honestlyyyy Nobody ever told me how to just take care of my hair with just WATER and my fingers. I thought I was crazy for feeling like I didn’t need to manipulate my hair so much. I stop shaving my head recently. This has restored my hope and I cannot wait to take care of my hair again!
I am a natural newbie at 34 years old. I am so happy to see that you and I have nearly identical hair textures!!! I am tender headed and am dreading this process but I am inspired by this demonstration. Thanks beautiful!! 😘
You are very welcome, I definitely understand. That's why I do not stretch my wash days this long because the detangling process is always such a hassle, every week works best for me to detangle. but I hope this video helped !
At this rate detangling will become an occupation. Are you a Detangler by profession? Who has time for that? On the positive side, you have beautiful hair.
Seriously...who has a “almost three hour” job..no body. So no it wouldn’t. And she did recommend not to let it get to this state, otherwise I’m general it would take a lot less.
You hair is always gorgeous. But I wanted to specifically say that your makeup and skin in this video is stunning. You should really consider this more natural look, it is amazing on you and your true beauty shines through so much!
Omg girl you are a lifesaver, I recently gave birth and had my hair in a wash and go for a month (😩😩😩 I know) and I seriously need to detangle, I wanna try to use this method and I'll let you know how it goes, you have gorgeous hair , please do a products haul, or products you use 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Finally! Somebody with a gorgeous thick afro texture like me! I can't watch some of these other channels b/c none of them have a similar texture to me! I will definitely be subscribing
I rewatch this video every time I've let my hair go too far. It reminds me that I can get it back to where it should be. You make me feel less alone in my hair journey. Thank you 💛
Yep very realistic timing if you're detangling the right way. One thing I learned is to never detangle when you're in a hurry and I used to always do that lol
My 5 year old has the same type and thickness of hair like you. It took me 5 hours to detangle and wash her hair yesterday. I need that detangling comb in my life!
Smooth music. Watching RUclipsrs detangle their hair is calming to me, and I feel like I learn a lot, but I feel frustrated doing my own hair and I get impatient.
I've actually washed my hair&did like you said&twisted it after I washed it. WOW!! I didn't know it would grow so fast! I've been getting compliments ever since!! Thanks so much!!!☺☺
her hair has so much VOLUME and LENGTH omg, i'm in love. we don't have the same hair texture but i'm subscribing anyway because you're the most down-to-earth natural hair youtuber i've seen to date, and your hair... wow.
Thank you for this video!! You have no idea how long I've been trying to figure out how to detangle my daughters hair. I've only been natural since 2012 and I locked my hair in 2017. Her hair is very similiar to yours and your method of just wetting the hair and pulling apart with just your fingers initially and then with a wide toothed comb is genius! THANK YOU SO MUCH, new subscriber here ;-).
This is exactly how my hair is.. even down the the way your knots look 😅 ive always just ripped right through my ends with a wide tooth comb but ive been experiencing soo much breakage recently. I will need to learn to finger detangle
This really worked! I’m new to tangles & knots due to growing out of hair. What a pain! I just did not foresee the difficulty here, esp getting angry & cutting the ball out!😖 Thank you Dear Sisters for sharing your wisdom. I greatly appreciate this Ch & those who share the Love.🥰👍💕💋
I used this method and it took me 3 hours and a half! Now it's 4am and i have class at 8! I'll be sleeping all day long in class! That's why sometimes i just feel like cutting my hair off and be freee! Why me? Why us? The other races do not struggle this way! It's too much!
I know it can be hard sometimes, and a hassle. but, i recommend not letting you hair get to that state so you do not have to do it again. because doing hair for hours is tiring, trust me i know. I would suggest to make sure you hair is moisturized and not getting so tangled over the weeks. Maybe wash more frequently than you normally do. it is all a process. I wash my hair once a week now just because i do not get as much tangles that way. also i try to keep my hair stretched as much as possible! as well as hydrated. whenever i feel like my hair is dry i will moisturize again, with water and a leave in atleast..
you are welcome! It definitely gets easier the further you get into your journey ! It is okay. God doesn't give us things we can not handle..!! there is a reason why we have hair like this !!!
i feel this i still don’t have the patience to maintain my fro all the time, but i do a lot of protective styles they’re so low maintenance it’s a nice break from having to do stuff like this
I have been looking for you for so long. We have the same hair texture and my hair is so thick. I did not know how to manage it and neither did hairstylist even with a relaxer. I'm tired of being ignorant about my hair and decided to do tons of research on how to care for my crown of glory. I have been searching for a RUclipsr like you. Thank you so much for your videos it's helping me learn how to care for my natural hair.
Omg!!! You do not know how happy I am that I found you🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗when I say my daughter hair is EXACTLY like yours from the porosity to the texture, I'm not exaggerating!!!! Im learning so much from you. Thank you!!💕
I hate the consequences of having to detangle my hair when it’s like this but I really love the look of you hair in its “tangled” state. It was so pretty
Lovely, I use a needle to carefully pierce micro-nodes inside very tiny knots, and carefully expand them. I use seizers at very extreme cases, and I don’t cut the entire knot, but I do only little incision inside of it: one little snip at the knot center - and less hair will be lost! As a knot-prophylactic I gently finger detangling first appearing matted hair every day. Send a lot of love to you, dear.
I got thank you because honey I just didn't know what to do for my daughter hair. Thank you again. Her hair is like yours and I'm going to save her hair now. Great video
Ik this is old but your hair is thick like mine and that's why you're the only RUclipsr I'm going to watch from now on cause I can relate your hair is so thick I love it ❤
Thank you for taking the time to share this video! It has helped me so much with detangling my hair in a way that does not break my hair as much as I have from detangling the incorrect way. By the way I love your hair. It is thick and beautiful
Using this after taking down my locs cus I decided to restart and when I got all of it down my hair was SO tangled and dry😬 hoping to use this method and get the health back and restart my loc journey💪
Thank you so so much for posting this video, I don’t have people anyone to ask for hair advice & your video helped me a ton. I’ll be picking up that comb in the next couple of days, it definitely seems like a game changer
I have very thick 4c hair as well, here is how I detangle my hair when it's very knotted. Mix conditioner with water& oil to a thickish consistency Apply to your hair in sections of 4 or more Leave for 6mins Use a broad tooth comb to carefully detangle (comb starting from the tip of your hair going up slowly and gradually)
Girl I’m so glad I found you all other 4c hair videos they seem to have already mosterised hair that or it seems so easy to comb through yours is realistic in my op
My jaw dropped when I saw your hair. Your hair looks so happy and healthy. I actually stopped using heavy products because I thought it was too much, and I wanted to kick myself when you mentioned the necessity for thick products for thick hair (come to find out I was just too heavy handed with heavy products). It makes perfect sense and your hair is more than enough proof. Thank you so much for this video. You've answered my prayers! 🙏❤❤❤
thanks so much, I am glad I am able to help. Definitely see if it works for you, thick products may not work for you but figuring out natural hair is a trial and error process. Try different combinations of products, it all depends on what your hair likes.
So I did the LOC method with a creamy moisturizer and fatty oils (I chose grapeseed oil, vegetable glycerin and extra virgin olive oil). It's working out really well. But because I just patted my head one time and got some oils on my hand, is that still okay? I just want to make sure that I'm not over-saturating my hair.
Gorgeous results 😍😍😍 and now Im looking like why did I have to see that Giovanni conditioner?? I used their direct leave in back in the day but never tried this one before. (goes to research) lol
Thank you, I got this at my local tjmaxx, it was only 10 bucks for this huge size. This was my first time using it and it has so much slip, it feels similar to a hair mayonnaise with extra slip and a lot of moisturizing properties. I might have to do a separate video on it because I'm very impressed.
thank you, and what exactly do you mean? like a full hair care routine or just how I moisturize my hair. I will have a updated hair care routine from wash to styling soon, but I do have an old video here on my channel just go to my hair chats playlist and I do list a bunch of products that I use and how I do my hair, but it is old, some things I don't do anymore but the products still work fine.
Now THIS is what i call 4 hair not these other youtubers baiting us for views. Thank God i am short short. I just worry about my girls who hve hair like this. God bless us 4c girls
i am sorry but i followed a lot of 4c hair woman and you're the only one I CAN TRULY relate to like seriously
Me too I thought it was just my hair
10,000% agree
She’s one of the only ones with REAL 4c hair
The other RUclipsrs are just making
Thx looks like my 4z hair. Takes days to detangle.
She doesn’t have 4c and if she did it wouldnt be as easy to detangle it as she did in the video especially if it’s matted with knots
Almost 3 hours to detangle???? #subscribed
Thank you for being real, other youtubers act like it takes 10 mins lol
Finally a real kinky textured hair!!
haha yea I take time when it comes to my hair so it always takes me longer to do any style. Thanks so much for the support!
mzlareine1105 It really depends on your hair type when it comes to detangling. I have type 3 hair and it takes me about 5 mins to detangle. It really depends on your hair type
mzlareine1105 - Careful detangling takes so much time. I'm trying to learn to enjoy the process LOL since I do my own hair as well as my two little daughters.
jadenight0 same but my hair is generally on the softer side, it doesn't hold styles well but it also doesn't knot easily
It takes me minimum 1h to detangle my hair on wash day
It takes hours to do my 10 year old daughter’s hair; it always has. Thank you for being real and letting me know that I am not alone. Everyone is always trying to tell me what they would do, but she is very tender-headed as well. I just thought I was a bad mom because everyone acts like I should just be able to do it. God Bless You!!!
Completely wet hair under under running water first .
@@dove628 that's what I do but still doesn't work
@Kim McTeer you can use coconut oil and massage and moisturize her hair and wash it wver 2 weeks after washing dry and comb same time telling you my mother tips my mom use these methods on my hair and it is great just don't stop using it 🙂 my hair is still tender headed but when combing this method works great for her

I'm in love with your thickness! 😍 but I definitely feel that struggle 😂 especially after a week or two of wearing a wash n go
thanks a lot and yes, it is a real struggle.

I've actually washed my hair&did like you said&twisted it after I washed it. WOW!! I didn't know it would grow so fast! I've been getting compliments ever since!! Thanks so much!!!☺☺
I'm so glad, you talked about getting knots out properly, I had so many knots, I was riping them out

you are welcome! It definitely gets easier the further you get into your journey ! It is okay. God doesn't give us things we can not handle..!! there is a reason why we have hair like this !!!
Girl but look at this gorgeousness. I know it is hard but be proud of your crown and the time it takes.
i feel this i still don’t have the patience to maintain my fro all the time, but i do a lot of protective styles
they’re so low maintenance it’s a nice break from having to do stuff like this
I LOVE the way you twist your hair after you detangle it❤!!! I would wear that style for my daily look🥰🥰🥰!!
I am so glad I am able to help you out, definitely let me know if you have any specific questions!
Omg!!! You do not know how happy I am that I found you🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗when I say my daughter hair is EXACTLY like yours from the porosity to the texture, I'm not exaggerating!!!! Im learning so much from you. Thank you!!💕
Girl you’re blessed with all that thick hair. Beautiful!
The hair envy is so REAL right now! Your hair is gorgeous, the thickness looks awesome, but I'm sure its more work.
thank you, yesss it is but I wouldn't change it
NO WAY! It looks beautiful!
haha thanks!
This is the advice I didn't know I needed, I mean, parting section by section like this completely changed my hair game.

You're so welcome!

thank you, and yes you are right.
Finally a 4a hair stylist I have been seeing only 4c other people completely forgot about 4a like as if it doesn't exist I was pissed

You have lovely hair! I work in an ICU so I have been trying to learn how to braid and detangle hair for my black patients! Thank you so much!
Well this video just changed lives! I know my daughter wishes it didn’t take me 8 years to learn this method 🤦🏽♀️
THANK U SO MUCH IM GOING TO MY AUNT TOMORROW AND MY MOM WAS SUPPOSED TO DO IT BUT SHE FELL ASLEEP U SAVE DMY LIFE
Omg your hair is gorgeous!! When you put it in twist after detangling I fell in love lol
so glad I found your channel I've been looking for more RUclipsrs with hair similar to mine. I love your hair.

This is true 4c hair! I'm loving it! 💆🏿♀️
thank you so much this video is very old but i’ve struggled with my curly hair for a while now. This really helped!
This is exactly my hair thanks for sharing
Now those are some juicy twists....
THAT MIGHT B THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THICKEST CURLIEST HAIR IVE EVER SEEN OMG😍😍😍
Thank you so much!
So happy I found this video before I potentially broke my hair off! Now, I'm trying this on this old, dry twist out.
Hope this helps you !
Send a lot of love to you, dear.
thank you for sharing. Wow you have it down to a science!!
Thank you SO much for this video. You have Gorgeous hair, very nice.
thank you for watching!
already seen this video 10 times but you’re so beautiful i just keep rewatching, wishing you all the peace and blessings in the world!

So, I had my braids in for two months, and I just took them out and this is day 2 of trying to get this under control. I'll keep you updated.
You got this !! Take your time.
I got thank you because honey I just didn't know what to do for my daughter hair. Thank you again. Her hair is like yours and I'm going to save her hair now. Great video
Ik this is old but your hair is thick like mine and that's why you're the only RUclipsr I'm going to watch from now on cause I can relate your hair is so thick I love it ❤
Thank you so much
One of the best videos I’ve seen, Natural for 17 years and wish I viewed ago time ago, keep on sharing, sista!
Thank you so much 🤗
I just watched this video on instagram, I was about to search your channel and RUclips recommended this video
thank you for the support!!
Your hair is so pretty when it's matted- it looks styled! When my mostly 3b hair is matted, it is NOT a pretty sight!!
lovely hair! great video on finger detangling - thank you.
thanks for watching!
Love your makeup too, not too much.
thank you so much!
Thank you for taking the time to share this video! It has helped me so much with detangling my hair in a way that does not break my hair as much as I have from detangling the incorrect way. By the way I love your hair. It is thick and beautiful
You are so welcome!
Using this after taking down my locs cus I decided to restart and when I got all of it down my hair was SO tangled and dry😬 hoping to use this method and get the health back and restart my loc journey💪
Thats how my hair gets to. Yes water does help. ❤
Mix conditioner with water& oil to a thickish consistency
Apply to your hair in sections of 4 or more
Leave for 6mins
Use a broad tooth comb to carefully detangle (comb starting from the tip of your hair going up slowly and gradually)
Girl I’m so glad I found you all other 4c hair videos they seem to have already mosterised hair that or it seems so easy to comb through yours is realistic in my op
You are so welcome!
+Imara Howze it's okay, you could have applied a little too much, but if your hairs needs it then by all means do it.
Takes me a whole night 🤧 I even gave up on detangling and combing
Great advice ❤❤❤ cut out knots !!! Thanks
You're so welcome!
My daughter's hair is very similar to yours. I used this tutorial to detangle her hair agter box braids..super helpful!!!
Just had the best wash day of my life, I can’t thank you enough
Omygosh!!! What a blessing. You're hair is soooooooooooooo GOOOOOD! .
what I love most is the part she showed the hair that came out ❤❤
This is so helpful! I was trying to strangle my friend’s hair but I had NO CLUE what I was doing. Thank you!
Bubs Bee Ooohhh yes that would be great!!!
This is what I do with my 7 year old sons hair now. It’s just like yours and a lot. I love his hair!!!
Thank you so much! This was so helpful for my 2 year old because she has 4c hair and is extremely tender headed.
Glad it was helpful!
This is just an exceptionally beautiful video, extremely helpful and detailed, and you are gorgeous 💜 well done.
Thanks Dee!
Yes 4c Beauty! Those curls were popping! I love our hair texture.
Thanks so much
::sigh:: I cannot get over your hair! So thick and beautiful! And your twists look so juicy 😍
Wow, thanks!

I love your hair it's just so gorgeous. If you haven't, can you do a video on to take care of naturally dry, kinky hair.

I will have a updated hair care routine from wash to styling soon, but I do have an old video here on my channel just go to my hair chats playlist and I do list a bunch of products that I use and how I do my hair, but it is old, some things I don't do anymore but the products still work fine.
