Hey, this makeup look and the hair style I did after this trim is linked in the cards -- (that little i in the corner of the video) -- everything is linked
Ok in the beginning she said I am not a professional This is the way I clip MY ends. Who would thumbs down after she specifically said all that?????? 🤨 People are never satisfied. 🙄 THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND YOUR VIDEOS.😍😍😍😍
Folks who will ask her how she got her hair so long and ignore the part where keeping her ends well trimmed in healthy is part of it (in addition to genetics). A lot of folks have issues seeing hair cut, refuse to cut their own hair, yet wonder why their hair will never look like this (again, b/c of genetics, it won't, but they won't have the best hair they could have b/c they don't want to use scissors)
Finally! Someone that doesn't trim their hair at an angle. It totally matters when it comes to your shape and I have been having a rough time finding videos to differentiate this!
I legit just trimmed my hair a few hours back the same way you just did.Health over length! Ive been natural since 2013 as well and i did my 3rd big chop exactly a year ago as a result of heat damage. your hair inspires me ...third times a charm😇
Princess Kay make sure you buy the one that looks black and thick. The other ones are not 100% castor oil. You can find the real one in most Caribbean stores like a Haitian store. Your hail will get so thick fast.
An Mwey idk if there’s Haitian stores around me but if I found one I be sure to check it out. I heard sunny isle is a good brand that sells 100% castor oil.
I like this method b/c I like having my hair cut when straight but am not good at straightening it and put it off longer than I like. This looks like a good alternative.
I LOVE how you trim ABOVE the damage/knots, people be cutting right on the edge of damage and be surprised when 3 weeks later it’s raggedy again. Even a quarter of a millimeter of dead end is enough to ride right back up again Edit for typo
Thank you for the great suggestions about trimming our hair @ home. Your hair always looks amazing & with this trim it only enhances your hair styles ❤
Enjoyed this. You have beautiful, healthy hair. I trimmed my ends yesterday. I trim my ends similarly. I too prefer health over length. When was the last time you had trimmed your ends? ☺
thanks so much !! I did this video in November.. and in between if my hair feels knotty i will cut them some, when i style in twists, i just trim a small amount. I need to do one now though but I'm probably gonna go to a stylist this time, because i am dong a protective style challenge.
Girl!! You're hilarious!! And I loved this version of Good Good Father!! You're gorgeous!! Thank you for being so detailed. I usually trim once and call it good...that's why I'm getting split ends so fast. I'm at that awkward length where I cherish every centimeter of hair haha but I'd rather have healthy hair though! #Sacrifice
😂😂 I needed to hear that “I don’t trim at any hunnyboo boo angle I just clip off those nasty ends” I’m always scared to trim because of that I love that song good good Father
Thank you! I need to clip my ends as well and my hair is like identical to yours: all kinds of type 4, THICK, lots of it...ugh! lol This will definitely help me, thanks so so much!!!!!
I’ve been trimming my own hair since I’ve transitioned to natural (4 years). I know when it’s time to trim when those ssks come about and my ends are always dry! I only trim when I notice these things so when needed. I like to trim after putting my leave in conditioner as well then twist it up. Never thought of using a fine tooth comb but it seems like that helped bring down all your hair thanks for sharing! From IG 😊 naturally_mymy
Congratulations, You are my giveaway winner ! DM on Instagram within 3 days with you name, address, and the bonnet you would like ! or I will have to pick another winner!
I actually loved the twists before you even took them out lol 🥰😍😍 your gorgeous, THIS WAS SO HELPFUL! I thought i was trimming wrong bc when i do my afro, i have a little fluff at the end
You look stunning!!❤❤ New subscriber!!😁😁 Quick question! I have been growing my hair out since Jan of this year and my 1 year mark is in Jan of 2020. When should I start getting my hair professionally trimmed and how often? Or does that just depend on "my" hair?
Depends on you you can start when you like especially if you can't do them by yourself & you need a trimming.totally up to you be blessed on your jurney I'm on my 5th years & I love it GOD bless sis👼
Where was this vieo when I was trimming away?? lol I trimmed on wet hair but I feel like I should have done it on dry hair. I'm going on two years and my lil trimming was my first but I feel like I didnt get all the raggedy ends. Definetly doing it this way next time around.
😊@maemae0309 your videos are always informative and in depth...i love your videos.....i have uneven and choppy ends and I said I was going to trim my ends too the ladt time I trimmed my ends was back in October so this video was timely thank you!
Great video I loved it. I’m trimming my natural hair after a long time. Please can you send me a link to the song? I tried searching it up “by Angie G” from your description box but can’t find it😩
should I wash and blow dry my hair before doing this so it’s a little straighter? after I blow dry my hair it’s much longer so I feel like I’ll be able to see it better?
Yes that is good way to trim your hair. I have a video on how i trim my hair on blow dried hair on my channel too. this video was more for people who just wanted to trim their hair in their natural state.
Hmmm I thought it was best to trim on blowdry so I avoid that for like 6 months 🤦🏾♀️🤣 This is a good alternative, gotta try this next becuz direct heat is so damaging to my fine thin hair
I feel like when people watch videos and want to whine about someone cutting too much, they usu. don't have the same success/results with their hair even though they poo-poo the method used here. If you can get away with raggedy ends and still have thick, healthy natural hair, good for you, but I think more often than not, the same people refuse to cut their hair properly yet will be saying that their hair doesn't grow and will be back asking later how someone got their hair so long.
Heey ! I'm french and I watch english videos for improve my english, anyway lol You hair is beautiful ! I like to see women take care of it 4c hair, they're they're soo beautiful ❤️ Kiss from France 💋
My hair never grows and it’s because I don’t trim and moisturize my hair . I should have longer hair and it’s my fault. I’m glad to see how to do this without having heat because I never knew
Is it bad to trim your hair in mini twist or small 2 strand twist? B/c I'm scared to do it with my hair out, so from time to time I trim my hair when I do my twist because the ends look horrible.
no I do that as well. I do recommend for even ends, I would suggest a stylist. But if you don't have the funds or you just want to trim your hair yourself trimming it in twists will work but it will not get all the dead or damaged ends.
Hey, this makeup look and the hair style I did after this trim is linked in the cards -- (that little i in the corner of the video) -- everything is linked
I get scissor happy when I see single strand knots, but I have to remember that as long as I have kinky hair I can't really prevent them.
Marque Kander me too 🙈
Exactly! And your hair won’t always be blunt/even. It probably shouldn’t be if you like protective styles.
Grease your ends. Prevents knots.
clay
You have really nice edges
Yep. I envy her. She's beautiful.
She is not playing around with those ends!!! This gives me courage!!!
Ok in the beginning she said
I am not a professional
This is the way I clip MY ends.
Who would thumbs down after she specifically said all that?????? 🤨
People are never satisfied. 🙄
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND YOUR VIDEOS.😍😍😍😍
guest guest possibly someone with no ends to trim. lol.
Thank you so much !! I appreciate your support ! it means a lot :)
Folks who will ask her how she got her hair so long and ignore the part where keeping her ends well trimmed in healthy is part of it (in addition to genetics). Jealousy.
Finally! Someone that doesn't trim their hair at an angle. It totally matters when it comes to your shape and I have been having a rough time finding videos to differentiate this!
I love “Good, Good Father” 😍
Charnell Price me too. It’s such a pretty song with such a great meaning.
I legit just trimmed my hair a few hours back the same way you just did.Health over length! Ive been natural since 2013 as well and i did my 3rd big chop exactly a year ago as a result of heat damage. your hair inspires me ...third times a charm😇
I love the thickness of ur hair is to die for bout to buy me some castor oil so my hair can be thick like this.
Please bare in mind that thickness is also due to genetics. You may or may not be able to obtain such thickness.
Rooted treasure have the best castor oil its very black and pure
I trim my ends the same way. It's easy enough for most ppl to do themselves tfs
I like this method b/c I like having my hair cut when straight but am not good at straightening it and put it off longer than I like. This looks like a good alternative.

Edit for typo
