@@nurturingherroots8511she doesn’t say and also saw on her website and doesn’t mention cooking them. But I googled, and it looks like edamame beans do need to be cooked. The bag of the frozen shelled edamame has the instructions on how to cook them :D. Hope this is helpful. I was wondering the same thing.
Isn’t that what everyone in such videos do? Why only blame her? At least she didn’t put her name on it and sell it in a book like how some people steal age old recipes from countries like India, China and say it’s their invention.
@@msme2400 No, soy gets a bad rap but isn't bad or dangerous. There are plenty of countries where soy (in all its forms) is part of the diet and people live long, healthy lives. Just a quick Google search shows: "The evidence does not point to any dangers from eating soy foods in people, and the health benefits outweigh any potential risks." (The European Food Information Council) Another result: "At the same time, soy is shunned by others for fear that it may cause breast cancer, thyroid problems, and dementia, though these claims have NOT been substantiated." (The Nutrition Source - Harvard University)
@@msme2400That is not true. Soy contains phytoestrogen which is actually good for women and men. Phytoestrogen is not the same thing as hormonal estrogen.
I do really love her recipes mostly because she doesn't frame it like she invented something or saying this is the best version of etc. This looks like a really delicious nutritious and fun thing to play around with. Which is something that I learned from her that treating all these recipes like building blocks lets me incorporate whatever I have on hand. 💙❤️💙
I wish videos like this would go viral instead of those awful ones where the person eats 3 watermelons and 9 mangos in a day and claims to be healthy 🙄
I just made this watching this video bc I had all the ingredients in my kitchen already and omg! ….it’s freaking delicious and so healthy. Great recipe! Thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love everything about this recipe!! Thank you and you are just the cutest!!! Your voice is also very calming!!! Love your channel and your cook book!!!!! ❤ Thank you for everything you do!!!
i live in australia and avocados are a staple here but i never tried anything else apart guacamole.. this recipe was such a refreshing twist to it ! thanks Nisha
"This Smashed Edamame Toast recipe is a total game-changer! 😍🥑 The combination of creamy smashed edamame and the crunchy toast is pure perfection. The flavors are so vibrant, and it's such a creative twist on traditional avocado toast. I tried making it after watching this video, and it turned out amazing!
I love how you actually SEASONED the food. Most of these videos I’ve seen make the vegan food look so dry and bland. This looks rlly good and it looks packed with good nutrients without having to compromise a yummy meal.
I love these high protein shorts. I’m not vegan but looking to incorporate more plant based meals for breakfast and lunch. My lunch hours fluctuate so I need meals that’ll sustain me for many hours. Thank you
Hot tip: If the avocado is perfectly ripe, just cut it into slices and add the other blended stuff on top. Perfectly ripe avocado has sliced butter texture. I feel like smashed avo was invented to make unripe avocado palatable, it's kind of a crime to smash ripe avo after you've had it sliced. Personally it only feels right to smash it making guacamole. Looks like a great recipe, I look forward to trying it!
This looks absolutely delicious! I'll try making this, and I'll try boiling the edemame shortly with sodium bicarbonate before blending them to make it silky smooth. 🥑🌿
Looks very good. As a meat eater I'd probably add egg or bacon but even alone I'd really enjoy that. My partner ...the clumsy veggie would love this too ❤
I think it is important to notify viewers to make sure that the edamame are cooked. Not all shelled edamame are precooked. Uncooked edamame are poisonous.
This is a great idea! I think a simpler version of this could be peas and the garlic/peppers with either the avocado or the tahini for a faster and equally protein packed version. Trying to make this recipe somewhat lazier lol.
Im such an edamae WHORE!!!! this looks so good!!!!! They dont sell them anywhere where i live..... not even frozen :( Im crossing my little fingers they bring some to stores near me soon! 😂 Man yes this looks so good!
Smashed Edamame Toast: rainbowplantlife.com/20-minute-high-protein-vegan-meals/ (it’s the first recipe card on the page)
I’ve seen recipes for high protein toast that use thawed frozen green peas, would those also work, or are they lower in protein than edamame?
Are these cooked edamame? Are they edible raw?

Can the sesame oil be replaced with a nonoil ingredient for those that are oil free?
These are blanched edamames😋
I love how she didn’t just make avocado toast and act like she invented it but actually made something good
But avocado toast isn't high in protein to begin with.
It isn't if it's just avocado, however she added beans & tahini
lol

@@SuAstra814I'm confused by your response. I think this person is being genuine in their praise, not sarcastic.
the edamame avocado topping was so good, I got hooked on it
I've made it twice now and I'm also hooked on it. It is so good and I love that it's high protein.
Replaced the edamame with cannellini beans as I didn't have any edamame. Very nice and zesty spread!
Likewise, but with frozen peas. Amazing.
Soy can be dangerous for women. Eating something like this once in a while, for me might be ok. Looks delish.
