You go to a Lexus dealer and get an ES300h with the Mark Levinson system instead. The JBL has bad crossover circuits. By the time you fix that, you'll have voided your warranty.
@@aluisious well that’s a shame and yeah I’m waiting for the new gen ES to come out there’s other reasons I’m interested in a Lexus, never gone that much money on a car before but hell you only live once I guess lol! Thanks for the tip my friend
I like my grandmothers 2020 JBL sound system. its not very detailed or all that good but its loud, boomy, and fun. I do think I would rather have a two way, front and rear than a three way up front and a full range in the rear. Fantastic review as always.
The 2024 JBL system is absolute dogshit. I could hear that it was massively defective, so I played different frequencies and noted where the huge dips in response are, as well as white noise and recorded the result to analyze the spectrum. The two major problems I can quantify are HUGE dips in several places in the mid frequency range, and lots of weird spikes in the high frequency range that I take for effects of distortion. You can play any song with heavy bass, and the subwoofer will rattle. Then play Halo by Beyonce, and at volumes around 25, the tweeters will buzz when she is singing "halo." It's unforgivably bad. I have lots of nice speakers in my house, and a dedicated headphone amp and DAC for my computer, and I enjoyed the Bose system in my old Cadillac. I don't really listen to music in the Camry because it's depressing.
On a similar level as Accord/Civic Bose but good at different things. Accord has better base texture and details, but I find the JBL tuning to be more pleasant. I think Accord slightly wins but we are splitting hairs. Mazda wins by a lot. It's a proper entry level audiophile set up. No real complaint I can pick. The system is bright but that's adjustable.
@@lixiaochen6 This was very helpful, thank you so much! I’m trying to narrow down what my next vehicle purchase will be and a good sound system is a must have.
I'm still enjoying my AC Delco stereo - sorry, "sound system" in my 2019 Spark. It is so powerful it doesn't even require rear speakers! I'm so stoked when cruisin' in this orange demon, bro.
@@aluisious $48,000 is the average new car price 2024. $40,000 barely buys you a strip down new Tacoma… I would suggest a loaded new generation Camry at that price is a good value in today’s market.
@@nickkerr6068 nah tesla is garbage from their cars where they wont even put a manual door in that literally kill drivers due to it to the "just don't drive in the rain if you don't want it to rust, lol" cybertruck. Nah, I'll stick with a manufacturer that actually knows what they're doing, thanks.

Bass shaking the mirrors at the bass drop in 8:57 ❤❤❤
If I get new gen Camry with JBL, and I want to improve sound quality, what do I change / add Charlie? Thx!

How does this compare to the Bose in the Accord, Civic, and Mazda3?

TAIWAN NO JBL
this car with this sound system costs like 40k, doesn't cost that much lol
$40k used to be nicely optioned Lexus money.
