I switched from a 19 s60 with B&W to a 22 nx with ML, and spent last two years missing my s60 attached to that B&W every time I listen to something in the car 😢

It's tough with stock audio, because as a GenX we had trunks filled with subs and high end alpine or kicker components in shitty cars in the mid 90's to mid 00's.. today they have gotten better at giving you a good sounding stock radio, but.. It's gotta be hard to review these stock radios when the after market is still so much better..😂

yes, the top end system gives you an 9in sub I believe, this share the 6.5in with the lower end cars and the Audi 10 speaker. the 19 speaker on the 5 and below also shares this same sub size. you have to step up to the 6 series and above to get the bigger sub

Charlie, just want to add some things. the front door woofers are mid bass specific, they face parallel with the car to reduce rattles, and the a pillar tweeter is the regular tweeter and the speaker far up on the dash is a 3d midrange

The fender system in the Nissan Frontier sounds very good. Fender in the Volkswagens I've had was good as well

I just got my permit and was looking for a future car. I came across this car and immediately knew that this is the car I want to drive. It seems very reliable and has the perfect interior that I was looking for, also the subwoofer in the back is so cool.

I’ve heard the Mercedes Burmeister system and didn’t think it was an improvement worth the additional cost over the lower tier sound offering in their models.

Yeah the second u put Mercedes at the top, I had to dislike the video 😂 my mom had the advanced audio system in her 2019 e350 and her 2023 c43 amg and they both bottom out and sound terrible compared to my Acura 😂

Got the HK in my Z4. It is... horrible. My Mazda's Bose system sounds better. So I gave up on it. Turned off ASD and volume, and just listen to the engine. Much more satisfying.

I'm waiting for the Ford F650 u haul sound system test now 😂

Have you driven any Teslas? Especially the 3/Y? People constantly rave about how good the sound system. Its not branded but its super obvious tesla did a lot of R&D or outsourced to another compnay to tune and select the speakers for their audio systems. My family owns a Y and i think its a 15 speaker system. Firstly it doesnt not get as loud as many other systems. But its clarity, crispness, fullness, and fidelity it top notch. Easily sounds better than 90% of branded systems Ive heard. Obviously people could be bias but i dont think they are lying. But it would be awesome if you could do a test on one to confirm if its good or not!

I don't know if you've ever been in any VW and any Mercedes in Germany but the VW Sound System is worlds better than the one in the Mercedes. And I can promise you I've been in many VWs and Mercedeses in my life. VW was always way ahead.

Bmw is easily S-Tier. Especialy if Volvo is in there as well. Ive sat in plenty of Models from both companys and its pretty much the same system. If you open the door blinds you will even see the exact same speaker model used in most cases. With an exception to the 7 series wich to me was the best sound system ive ever heard. Better than any volvo or mercedes. I agree that the 1 and 2 series systems can be a bit lackluster for the price. But 3 and 4 series sound great, better than a c-class or volvo s60 to me!

I have Bose in a 2016 911 and it's all base, tinny treble and no mid. C maybe. But jaguar, I've had two amd if its Meridian youre going by, how is that A tier? Seriously. Theyre C at best

Hyundai has definitely done some more tuning to this system for the 24 models. I had the same system in my 22 Sonata, and the new one sounds much better, even though on paper it's the same system. Bass is tighter and goes deeper, highs are way more crisp! Also the Centerpoint toggle used to be under "premium sound", but was moved after an update.

Bose is so confusing. They can make absolutely amazing systems but also the biggest piece of audio doo doo

I can agree with most of these placings but to me Honda and Nissan are way too low and are closer to B Tier and the Mcintosh and ML systems in Jeep and Lexus are A Tier at least

Great video. Just picked up a used '24 Integra A-spec with tech and manual. Such. good car. It may be the best value out there right now. I love the car the more I drive it, which usually isn't the case. My kids freaked out when they heard the stereo for the first time. Granted, I was coming from a beater commuter car, but their reaction was priceless. I am THE demographic for this car. Mid 40s, family guy, with a commute who loves to shift his own gears.

What year and make is the Acura interior? I don't recognize it ... The screen is in the center ? All the current models the screen is mounted on top of the dash.... Is this a new design ?

So, your market is a group of people who like artificial music at high volume. They’d be happy with the base unit with added speakers. Until you show a variety of music, mostly with real people’s voices and real instruments, from solo, small and large groups, and until you play speech, I don’t know what there is to learn about how good you can get a unit’s quality. This is just one kid playing for other kids….. none of whom can afford to buy the car.

I wonder if the new infotainment software and hardware is improving the sound. The older unit was pretty slow and was probably holding back the audio.
