Hey Charlie, Thanks so much for your candid and professional review. I requested this video late last year and you've delivered beyond expectation. Once again, thanks alot sir 💯. You have done the vehicle justice and helped me cut through the marketing. Much love from Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 and long live DM sound 💯. You are heaven sent and may God bless you abundantly.
Was waiting for this one. I heard it last year at the motor show, Meridian in the new Range Rover has become objectively a bit worse compared to the previous gens. Standard settings are not usable anymore imo, whereas in the last gen they were basically spot on. P.s. also heard the Signature (biggest system) in the SV few weeks ago. Again, not as good of a bass as the previous gen, but I would def still get that. 6:15 you mixed up the tweeter and midranges haha, it's the opposite. And yeah the trunk speakers only work with the tailgate opened, made for that exact purpose to listen outside. For me the 2020 RR SVA is where it's at.
Please also review the range Rover High end sound system, it would be nice to see how it stacks up against the competition and also amazing video as usual ❤
Would you please do a video on the top tier 35 speaker Meridian 3d sound system for the Range Rover. I would also love to listen to a comparison between this and the Burmester 3d sound system in Mercedes. Only you can make it without having to purchase the vehicles. PLEASE DO.
There are so few manufacturers offering 5 band or higher equalizers on the new cars. I wonder if you are better off just getting the base system and upgrading it after you purchase the vehicle?
Some systems like the burmester high-end or the meridian in my older range I wouldn't change anything, beside maybe better bass performance for those unsatisfied ones. In my opinion each brand of system, if they get the sound just right, has a very unique character that suits the car brand as a whole. For example Burmester has that clearness in piano notes like no other, which matches the classy image of a Mercedes Benz. While the Range Rover's Meridian used to push low ends so much, made you feel like 50 cent was with you in the truck. However if even the big dog systems are a let down, there's no other way than customizing. But personally I hate it if the changes are visible in the interior. Plug and play new speakers, new amp, and sound dampening. That's what I would do. Not forget, software is what's the most important thing in a car system. Even inexpensive paper cones can produce a lot of bang, paired with quality tweeter, if set up correctly
Yeah it's still a 3.1 system in stereo mode so the center channel will be strong. That's usually the discourse among people that feel like systems designed for surround sound have no stereo seperation even with surround sound off.. because it has a center channel
Hey Charlie, you keep referring to a better sound system from rr, but isn't the meridian 3d is their top tier audio system ? awesome video, thank you a lot ! for some of the people believe it or not this wont even be a bother, but for people who are audio junkies, oh yeah lol thanks brother
I'd recommend you not to go by "3d, 4d" definitions etc. it's just a gimmick that has been passed along even to smaller systems. Meridian in 2011 was the first ever brand to introduce a 3D in car Audio system, named "Meridian Signature Sound Reference" that's the actual nomenclature of the top tier system. Back then they added 4 roof mid/highrange speakers to create sort of a 3 dimensional sound expression. What they now did is integrate this feature to the mid level "surround" version, hence the 3d naming. They didn't make it any better, but just added 2 roof speakers for the front passengers. Same stuff with Burmester Surround by Mercedes Benz or Audi. It's technically absolutely useless, just a marketing gag and only affects the whole sound experience barely. But sounds more of a flex when you go by "3d sound system"
I own one of this and it is B tier at best. Bass is a bit boomy and low frequencies not its strength!! This tells me how subjective these tests are because you also scored the Bentley Continental B and O , A tier when it is miles better than this!!
The look on that cop's face at 12:39 was classic. He was probably a bit confused seeing the camera on your head.

So excited you guys finally did this one!!!
I think 35 speakers option could definitely be better

This one is the midlevel system in the range line the best one is signature system
It’s ridiculous Range Rover doesn’t give a midrange EQ, should be a 5-9 band EQ anyways, such bullshit, really need an update for that.
What car do u own currently can u post a video with its music system 😊

The mids are definitely "bloated" here. When my Harman Kardon system started to deteriorate, I experienced the same harsh mids that made my ears hurt.
Charlie you should try the Signature one I would like to hear your comments on that one also keep up the good work cheers!
Will try to, thank you!
Goated channel.
can you please do c43 2024

Not exactly. Trifield works a bit different, however they didn't nail it this time.
Great video like always! will you be doing the new Tesla model 3 sound system anytime soon?
Thanks! Will likely try to snag one from a Tesla store and do a review
Will you be doing a sound test on the 29 speaker meridian signature sound system
Probably not anytime soon, but maybe
hey Charlie,
quick question: does the car speakers need to burn-in
thank you
From audio professionals, I've heard no.
@@DailyMotorSound Much appreciated! Then, I'll just regular lisenting.

@@v12-s65 oh yeah i agree, simply marketing strategy. unless you opt out for basic one and do a really nice audio system aftermarket
What this guy said :D
