I’m relatively new to your channel so forgive me if I’m missing something here, but do you not do any form of quantitative measurements these systems? I appreciate the angle you’ve taken with your tests, but adding instrumented tests to your regiment would really help solve the mystery of why this car subjectively rated A tier 4 years ago and C tier now. Maybe your expectations have risen after you’ve heard many more excellent systems? Maybe the road surface you drove on today was louder than the one you drove on a few years ago (it did appear to be concrete or very old asphalt today, and new quiet asphalt in the old test) Maybe it’s the expectation of how a system in a $70k car vs a $140k car should sound (even though GM pretty much only gives you (much) better driving performance for those extra dollars) And actually that brings up another question that I suspect you’ve probably formally addressed in another video that I haven’t seen.. but does price affect these ratings? In other words if you review a top tier system in a $150k luxury SUV and give it an A rating, and you review the standard audio system in a $50k SUV and also give it an A rating… should I really expect that they sound close to each other overall, or will the high end SUV/system be clearly superior, but it gets the same grade because it’s supposed to be better for the extra money?
Another example where number of speakers doesn’t equate to a good sound system. Car companies should be embarrassed having lower sound quality in a $50k+ vehicle. They just need to look at what is possible in a mainstream compact sedan that was the previous review posted on this channel.
Speaking of Bose, I am curious to hear how Porsche's Bose system compares to the Burmester systems in their sedans (Taycan and Panamera). Hoping to see one of those on the channel soon.
I listened to both. In my honest opinion. The Bose did not sound good at all surprisingly. It’s hard to describe but even with Apple Music losses and Dolby Atmos. The sound was not good at all. The burmeister sounded like a hands down real concert hall! It’s almost like 3D sound. The bass has your seat shaking! I’d go for burmeister
Your first review of the corvette sound system is much better, and from my experience with a 2021 corvette, it’s an A tier system. I wonder if chevy changed something or this particular one has something wrong with it
Don't know how BOSE got their big name and how so many ppl link this name in their heads with very high quality.... Some brands have better standard sound systems than many BOSE systems in other cars....
Worthwhile endeavor, however, get serious and do some measurements, specially when you're surprised that this is worse than last time you evaluated this specific sound system.
This is dubbed the Loudest sound system Bose has ever made in history reaching 126dbs….. this guys ears don’t work correctly he’ll then say a Mazda or Honda with Bose sounds better
Hate to break it to you, but guys that are midlife right now grew up on 90s Grunge and gangsta rap…. LOL. Steppenwolf is for dudes in their 70s at this point (1968).

Then again, the Corvette is a sports car, and you generally don't buy sports cars for the sound system. That being said, it should be better.

It’s very strange how poorly this system did compared to the first time it was reviewed. I suppose they tweaked it? Odd choice on their end.
I agree I thought this was rated highly before. What changed?
I have a c8 and a Porsche Taycan w Bose. The C8 is pretty good. The Bose in the Porsche is horrible! I had to replace the factory amp and speakers
is this the same bose sound system offered in the camaros?
How many watts ?
Charlie, have you ever tested the Bose sound system in the Opel Insignia B? If so, what’s your opinion of its performance?
Keep doing awesome videos 😄
Thanks! Unfortunately we don't get those here in America :/
@@DailyMotorSound in US it is called Buick Regal. It is a GM car.

Or maybe because of the structure of E-ray, they have to change some of the speakers and it messed up the whole system
Right, I was wondering that too. Sometimes electric motors can cause interference

How about you downnload the DM Sound logo as artwork to the USB, would look good.
Good thinking!
to all the brands who want a great sound system in their cars, look up to volvo.
Wasn't this rated A tier before?
It was indeed rated A tier before, so I'm curious to know why it scored so low this time around.
Real estate showcase music

Its for midlife crisis men so all it really needs to excel at is playing born to be wild by steppenwolf
Mid-life?? I see more "retirement-home" men driving this thing in my area.
This is the best comment I’ve seen in a while💀😂😂😂

You realize that men who like steppenwolf are like 80 now right?! Mid life now would be men who love Eminems first album
