      Yeah even things lie the type of oil it takes. Oil changes are gonna be real expensive, and it’s every 3-5k miles so it does add up. I really like the new design but I might go previous gen and save some money since I’m getting a Camry within a few months.

      @michaelvang3034 with emissions getting as strict as they are in the states, toyota couldn't really make a profitable car like the camry ICE only, im all for hybrid, better reliability, more torque and better economy. blame emissions, not toyota

    I want to say that you are a treasure to the community. I ended up buying a 2025 XSE. I flirted with the idea of an older, more proven generation based on another video of yours, but I really liked the design of the 2025. At no point in time did I consider something other than a Toyota SOLELY because of the expertise you provide for us. Thank you!

      The GS and IS have always been smaller than the 8th Gen Camry. The IS is closer in size to the Corolla. And the GS is almost the size of the Camry. The LS is, of course, the size of the Avalon or so, being the Lexus flagship sedan.

      it may not be the case for any new car to think this as you used to be able to on the older ones. there's parts engineered beyond reliability like the plastic valve cover. in 15 years the valve cover will be prone to cracking if you push on it too hard. I'm sure heat from oil and pressure in the head will work that out itself too.

    Mobil 1 0W-8 is readily available through Walmart and it's about $27.47 for five quarts. I just changed the oil and filter last month on my 2024 Corolla (at 2937 miles) and the oil came within two days of me ordering it on the Walmart website. I'm fine with a hood prop rod. It doesn't break and require new struts every few years. Sometimes simple is better.
    I do agree, I see Toyota's cheapening of some of the small details that made them strides above the rest. I agree, that interior microfiber looks tacky.

      @ryeguy916I recently rented a 2023 Toyota Prius LE. It was relatively quiet, smooth-riding, and good handling. The only reason why we bought the 2025 Camry instead is because of its taller windows. My wife doesn't like short windows like those in my GR Supra.

    • @ryeguy916

      @davepaturno4290I just got a 2025 Civic Hybrid. Inventory at the local Toyota dealers for Prius was low so there were no incentives. And the Camry is a bit bigger of a car than I wanted. Some reviews also said the Camry was a bit noisy with interior rattling and such. I love the Civic but I forgot how much a car payment impacts financial freedom.

      I still regret trading my 2005 for 2008 model. This is where Toyota crossed the line from real cars to junk. The Camry might still be better compared to other brands models but compared to its own legacy it's de-evolution. And if I'm paying 30K+ for a Camry I'd definitely skip it and go for a Lexus that offer pure V6 atmospheric engine, no turbo, no hybrid, no BS.

    You’re absolutely right! I am not a rich man but had to get another car this month. Even Kia’s have gotten outrageous and they’re essentially the same cars from 5 years ago when they were much cheaper. They have to start getting realistic. Honda have completely abandoned the working man for cars and even Toyota’s Corolla hatchback is expensive and that used to be a working man’s go-to.

    • @LMSZT
      @LMSZT Year ago +20

      @MetrosexualFilthidk if you realized how expensive gas has become since 2022, and because of certain circumstances people can’t go full electric. 4cyl hybrids become popular because it’s for commuters who want good fuel economy. If you meant CVT by “CTV”, an eCVT is completely different from a traditional CVT. People just assume they’re the same because of the shitty naming scheme

      A 2025 Camry LE Hybrid wouldn't last 5 years. The Bottom of the Barrel or lowest Trim level always breaks down after the Basic Warranty Expires.
      A fully loaded 2025 Camry XSE Hybrid FWD has an MSRP of nearly $42,000 and AWD would be $43,500.
      I despise Hybrids and EVs and don't care about MPG. For myself, "ICE", is the only way to go!
      I own a 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded MSRP of $41,305 and paid OTD $39,800 incl. Sales Tax, Registration, Plates, and all fees.

    I’m still driving my 2010 gas Camry which I bought brand new. This car has never missed an oil change, and it gets its rust proofing yearly. This car has never given me any trouble and it will quite possibly be the last car I own…yes I’ve installed a rear camera and remote car starter…I drive with my eyes open so who needs the lane sensors?
    The only thing to give out on this car was the gas struts for the hood..it opens fine, but won’t stay up.. so I use a stick to keep it propped open and the auxiliary channel is no longer working on the stereo
    I LOVE my car… and the BEST thing about it is…IT’S PAID FOR!!!😊💕💕

    • @beastboy-io4uh
      @beastboy-io4uh Year ago +1

      those struts are 40 dollars on amazon and can be changed with a flathead screwdriver, just dont slip and scratch the paint near the clips, i did that and spent more time with the touch up paint than the strut replacement itself .

    • @BigD481
      @BigD481 Year ago +1

      You are right, we really don’t need lane sensors, however, those emergency braking systems are a god send. No matter how good a driver you are, there are poor drivers out there who will change lanes into yours and then suddenly brake. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      These 10+ year old Camry's are still fun to drive! Our purchased new '11 with 134,000 miles on it is garaged, regular 5,000 mile oil changes, a radiator, belts and hoses, tires, and a $20 driver visor replaced. It has been on several coast to coast road trips and performs flawlessly at highway speeds. With little pressure on the gas pedal it accelerates from 65MPH to 80MPH to get around semi's hogging the middle lane on the interstates. Our aftermarket Kenwood entertainment screen provides apple CarPlay without a removable tablet looking screen on the newer Camry's. Sounds like if this '11 ever fails we will have a great option with the new Camry's! I also love my struts on the hood, and have asked the Toyota dealers that I have visited for oil changes, if they would put the struts on for free to sell me a new Camry - their response = YES!

      Better than a V6 Camry? If so, how and why?

    • @ZacharyHankins
      @ZacharyHankins 11 months ago

      @sammyjammy6647 So, I never owned a V6 Camry, so I can't fairly compare the two... but I did own a 2018 4 Cylinder Camry, and thought it was good, but this one is WAY better. The instant torque is awesome (especially in Sport Mode), makes merging on the highway, accelerating from stops, and passing vehicles really easy. I'm currently getting 47 MPG on my drive to work and home, able to go about 2 weeks in between fill ups, and those are usually around $20 where I'm located. I also love the interior of the updated model. I think it looks really good. So I enjoy it a lot more than my old Camry, and the 2 Corolla's I've owned. I'm sure the V6 Camry was awesome to drive, I don't doubt that, but I wouldn't be to worried about this one not being able to compete performance wise. The V6 did have the hp advantage, but this Hybrid model is not slow by any means.

    I've had my 2025 Camry XSE AWD in black for about a month. It's been an amazing car. Drives smooth. Sport mode gives it a jolt - plenty of power. Adaptive cruise is awesome. Interior looks impressive and materials feel high quality. EV mode in parking lots and quiet residential areas is great - using it way more than I thought. Looks low-key money in black with black badges IMO. I thought the gas mileage would be a bit better. If you drive like an angel it's great. But drive somewhat aggressive, it gets less impressive. Overall I'm so happy I bought one. I enjoy driving and looking at it. On top of that, my dealer got me the "dealer demo" so I was one of the first in Canada to take delivery of a 2025 Camry XSE AWD. Couldn't ask for more.
