I've currently hit 1 year ownership of a 2010 Golf mk6. Havent done anything really to it. Its basically tint and an R Line kit and its navy in colour. Will definitely be going for an Ep2. Honda are my absolute favourite car since childhood, unfortunately in Ireland insurance wasnt my best friend so couldn't get one. Eventually though when I sell my Golf (which I do love dont get me wrong but they get a little boring) I'll definitely be hunting for one of these. And yes ahah the Type R Ep3 is the dream car but that can wait a few years cause yes insurance still hates me 😂
@@Browniegarage purchased a mk6 fiesta ST150. Bigger throttle body, exhaust and filter pushed it to 160bhp. Wee pocket rocket so it is! Would highly recomend for a young driver as the insurance ain't that bad.
Can someone help please , me and my dad are looking to get me an ep2 sport as my first car to mod . I want a facelift but I’m not sure if you can get facelift models as your first car due to insurance and the specs of the car . Please help 🙃
What exhaust did you put on it? I've got a 2004 and I've done lots to it, I want to go for a full manifold back exhaust to get a high flow cat. I've already have an intake, exhaust manifold, type r brake conversion with brembo disks and pads, help braided break lines, lowering springs to drop 3cm, 20mm spacers, JDM type r anti roll bar, tegiwa in boot strut brace, front shock tower strut brace, exceedy lightened flywheel and stage 1 clutch, lightened mutegi wheel nuts and a spoon high pressure radiator cap because spoon. I've also refurbed the wheels to gunmetal grey and painted the rocker cover red and done all the maintenance and servicing myself. Its had the headgasket a few years ago and a new gearbox as well.
I see you had a break binding issue like I did, I nearly set fire to one of my rear breaks, that's when i converted to type r, rather than refurb all 4 calipers and get new discs and pads all round i swapped in type are bits as it's easier to find performance upgrades
You can pick up type r front calipers off Ebay for not that much, if you are getting new disks and pads anyway its definitely worth it and they bolt on

Very nice mate they are amazing cars for the money sounds like you've done a lot to it, and currently I have a m2 backbox with a unsilenced midpipe

Yeah I do need to get a caliper replaced still as it's not functioning properly and yeah that would have been a lot to fix

@@Browniegarage apparently with the vitara pistons, rods and crower springs they reckon these engines are good for upto 500hp
