    Lowkey love how Alessandro isn't at the level of basically a specialized professional fabricator like Alex is. Makes the mods seem a little more "achievable" and therefore relatable to beginner makers like me and it'll be great to watch along as Alessandro gets even better at modding.

    Awesome to see the project right away, like someone else said: it's good to see where it is going. More often than not I don't actually know what's being made in build logs. So the 'accidental' timing is actually great. Looking forward to the how-to logs!

    I love this build and the way you completely gutted the case. It looks simple at first but you obviously put a lot of thought and planning into creating an elegant solution. Looking forward to seeing the your process in the following videos!

    Looking really good! I'm looking forward to seeing the build process.
    The glass torii gates at Jintoki Inari Shrine are absolutely gorgeous, but I didn't really catch the reference until you explained it :)

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад

      Thanks man! As I always do with my themes, I just take some inspiration from some elements and make it my own way. In this case, you can see that I didn't actually reproduce the shapes of the glass torii gates, which are really square compared to traditional ones. Instead I made them a bit curvier, to resemble traditional torii gates more. So it's a mix of both traditional and modern really :D

    I’d love to see some challenge builds where you guys restrict yourself to 1 piece of speciality equipment to not only come up with a unique design, but inspire people who only have access to that machine/tool.
    Like make a case around 3D printing (and common or mandatory tools like drills, screwdrivers, G1/4 taps, etc), make one around a drill press/mill, one around a lathe, one around dremels/rotary tools, etc.

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад

      You won't believe it but I was actually thinking about something like that the other day. It's amazing what you can potentially achieve with the simplest tools and a cool idea, and after all my goal here is to inspire viewers so yeah, nice idea :D

      This is what I loved about a modder known as Waynio (Wayne Wilkinson). He made some amazing scratch mods almost entirely on a scroll saw. Sadly he was taken from us far too early due to cancer about 5 years ago and there's not an awful lot left of his project logs with hosting sites lapsing etc. You should have a Google though as a couple of articles on the Bit-tech website still have pictures up.

  • @radicalxedward8047

    It would be cool to see a collaboration with a glass artist or even a place like the Corning museum of glass to actually do more complex stuff with custom made glass pieces.
    Like if those aqua pieces were glass water channels where the rear was textured in some way, and the water didn’t fill the channel but flowed over the rear like a waterfall, etc.

    • @banmadabon
      @banmadabon 3 года назад

      Yeah maybe since I think he's Italian why not use the glass artisans from the island of Murano (Venice)...Sometimes you have to think before opening the mouth!

    I’m glad you showed it in the beginning. I’d much rather see a finished design and how cool it is, and then see how it was made/how to make it (if I choose) rather than having to either wait forever to see it come together or follow a bunch of build videos where I don’t know what’s actually being built.

    Great build. Video suggestion: put more B-roll, i.e. various close up shots of the PC from different angles (like at the beginning) while you talk. Otherwise the static shot of you talking beside the case becomes a bit too long.

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад

      Thank you for the suggestion! I'm aware of this but I purposely avoided showing too much of the build this time so that I can show more in the next episodes. If it was just one video and not a series, I would've definitely featured more b-roll :D

    Looking really nice! Hope you'll do a mod for the graphics card water block as well. I have the same one, and it's not exactly the most beautiful block I've ever used. Apart from the flawed manufacturing on this model (some people familiar with the block will know what I am talking about), the black plastic hurts my eyes. I think that especially visually, there are quite some improvements that can be made there. Overal it's looking pretty amazing!

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I honestly quite like the looks of this block, and it's the new versione so it doesn't have that unreliable plastic parts as far as I could notice. I would've liked to paint it white but I wasn't sure I would get a shade that matched the white from the other parts, so I just left it stock and I think the black gives some extra depth to the build anyway :)

  • @stokeseta7107
    @stokeseta7107 3 года назад +1

    Well its okay, I just consider this as an introduction video. The cinematography,novelty and fabrication of the build was usually what interested me. But there are 3 videos coming, so I wait for that. For now the build is nice, but i didn’t see anything exciting. If its a build where you wanted to test new/different approaches to design and fabrication, then it’s fine. But if its a regular build, it seems lacking something. Hope that helps. :)

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад

      It's not my usual big project if that's what you were wondering. The combination of a quite limiting case and a somewhat short deadline made it difficult to make super cool custom parts and stuff like that, I just simply focused on the theme and what could be done to make a nice looking promotional casemod. The next three videos will definitely feature more action as I'll go through the actual process, but still it's not a super innovative or intricate mod to begin with. Next series will be about a new ONDA build I'm making, that should be more interesting since it's built from scratch and probably the definition of novelty, even though I already made a first version :)

  • @anahata8870
    @anahata8870 Год назад

    Finally a real case mod.when you come along googles search, you find people who moddet their pc, calling it a mod, gluing a cable together or change a calbe to a rgb one...which makes me laugh a litte and pardon my rudeness.
    Nice idea with those shrines.this may be a personal impression, but i am sure it would also look awsome with the color of life :-)

    Why do people keep going the extra mile for everything except the gpu? Why not mod it to color match? Almost every all white or white themed pc I’ve seen recently uses a black gpu.

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 3 года назад +1

      Because I wasn't sure the white paint I was going to use would've matched the other white parts, and figured it was better to just leave it black instead of risking having different whites since I think that would've made for a real clunky look.
