    • @killerful
      @killerful 3 года назад +1

      @@slipknottin It depends on how you define "custom". Before I get into that, purely looking at your previous comment which is basically saying "he doesn't do anything anymore other than reviews", I can immediately point out that he's built a Gundam Themed PC a week ago, a PC for the pool dude a month ago, did a water-cooling tutorial with a build 2 months ago, he built someone their first PC 3 months ago (the thumbnail even says CUSTOM GAMING COMPUTER 2021, so again it depends on how you define "custom"), he built another PC 5 months ago, and did the Ultimate AMD PC 6 months ago.
      Back to the "custom" thing, he's built the scrap PC mod a year ago. Guess what? About two months ago the engine PC video dropped. Maybe he's just waiting on stock for something specific, or he's busy with other things in his life so he can't focus all of his time on that build and so he put it on hold until he can build it in peace and not rush things just for the sake of putting out a video (and risk having the PC not turn out that great). Remember that "truly" custom mod PC building is an artform. And Jay is imo an artist. If he sees something he doesn't like, he'll just stop and try something else later on. The Red Dead PC is an example of this.
      Hell, maybe in the next RTFM show he announces that he's not continuing with the Engine PC build.
      Also, your original comment came off with hints of sarcasm and salt. Why? Because it's blaringly obvious that that's not all that Jay does, and you know it. Rephrase your comment to "he doesn't do custom PC mod builds anymore" and I'll agree with you. It's been a while (1 year) since the last one. You know what else started about a year ago? The massive silicon shortages. You know what Jay gets in return for even building those normal PCs (which no one can get parts for)? Salt. Ever wonder if he gets tired of it? For all we know, he's maybe decided "no more extravagant custom PCs until normal people can get stock of things". That way it engages more interest and the video does better because the general public can actually follow along and say "hey I wanna do something like that, lemme buy some things", instead of making people go "fuck this dude, why does he get to build all of this cool shit and I don't?"

      @@killerful lol at “he built a custom gundam pc”. No, he assembled a pc. So the last time he did a custom pc was over a year ago? Yea, like I said, jay doesn’t do custom builds anymore. He does a handful of reviews a year.

    When I first saw the 750D, I thought it was the most awesome case I'd ever seen.
    It took me until 2017 to be able to get my hands on one, but I have it. Still my
    favourite case. That said, I don't think I'm going to build another super-massive
    setup. It's too much of a hassle to move around, and with everything in it, it weighs
    a -ton-!

    It looks like a well engineered case, such a rare thing. Possibly a bit over-kill for most systems but no more than a lot of other cases out there.

    Corsair hit a home run with these cases. I have the 5000d with the internal side panel off no need for it really. With the side on you can't tell its not there. I run a full air cooled system. Running 3 120mm Be quiet fans as intake on side, 2 140mm Be quiet for intake on front, 1 be quiet in the rear as exhaust, and 2 140mm in the top as exhaust. running a OC 5800x 24/7 4.6 all core with a Dark Rock Pro 4 at 33c idle and 70c max, along with a Msi trio 3080 at 27c idle 67c in game. All fans running at 900rpm 24/7. Perfect case for an all air cooled build.

      @@soulplay4755 Well if it is a blackout / stealth custom build, you would either purchase a PSU with nothing but black on the side, or paint over the text. It's not hard to remove and repaint a PSU Shroud. You could also replace the little plexiglass PSU window with a bit of black plastic or metal altogether.

    Something I was questioning myself is if a radiator can fit in the lateral panel (the one where you could put some vents but would make some crazy airflow) it maybe would be interesting to be a exhaust radiator I think

    Got this today to replace a 750D, not doing that much watercooling but the fans and all helps keep things cooled in summer, just a few more fans. It's a partial upgrade where I'll put the AM4 system in and then later on in the year get a new AIO or air cooler, fans to make it breathe and go for a AM5, probably a 7800x3d or early next year when the 9800x3d is out.
    I like big cases as it's easier to do stuff and stick head in due to visual impairment issues. Otherwise I go for a way smaller case I can get away with, what with current gpu sizes these days.
