So I finally put together my PC. Found an EVGA 3080 at MSRP and had a hero VIIi motherboard. A few differences but I figured it out. This video got me through the build. Thanks again for posting this. Great job. My PC runs beautifully.
for those who want the full front io capability, NZXT's motherboard has a usb-c plug in and 2 usb 2.0 ports at right angles to be able to use all 4 front usb's
I just picked up the 7000X and built a really good pc for my older sister it packs an i5 12600K, RTx 3070 TI Gigabyte OC, 16gb 4800MHZ DDR5 a stunning z690-A,
Thank you, I completed my build, but my tuf rx 7900 xtx is massive to fit in tuf gt502 and vertically is causing heat to mb, so I got 7000d. Your video helped me a lot😊
Would also really like to know. Corsair says only 4x more 120mm fans on side but I read someone managed to put 3 more 140mm. Guess maby also depends on radiator size
It can get a bit hairy, especially first time. But a bit of planning and making sure you have all the right parts that are supported by each other will make it go smoother. Expect the assembly to take several hours when you're new. Heck, I'm done it many times and I still take my time, never rush. Watch a lot of videos ahead and check for ones using your specific case, psu, mobo whatever. Measure twice, cut once, is the best rule of thumb for most anything in life, especially tech.
This is the exact build I’m going for. Not the Dark hero but the hero viii. It’s like RUclips read my mind, or maybe great minds think a like. Thanks for the vid.
Superb! I will be building my first new PC for 13 years this weekend in this very case! It seems a bit over designed with lots of steel that doesn't need to be there, but it is still glorious! :) I think that's the same motherboard I ordered too!
Nice build all the way around, Dark Hero is THE motherboard! Liked the cable extensions! Corsair stuff is great. Great job! AMD should give you a nice shirt to wear during your AMD builds, yeah?
Great build. Your next upgrade should be a custom Water loop for it. Cooling GPU and CPU. I'm going to build one in this case soon. Probably when the new RTX GPU release
Hi, very clean job first of all, i want to ask something, are you able to use usb hub top of the case cause you connect commander node's usb and rgb hub's usb, as far as i know there is one usb 2.0 connection for the case usb ports but there is only 2 usb 2.0 9pin port on the motherboard, how did you manage this problem? By not to connecting case usb 2.0 or what? I hope i could explain what i mean clearly.
Love this vid, i've brought a similar build to this just the 5000 series version. I can see that you didn't put the top dust filter back on, is that due to the fans being an exhaust or...
Great video. I was looking for someone who has built my same build I'm getting to do or very close to it and this is the closest I've found. I'm using same case (also black) and same CPU cooler. MSI mobo, i9 CPU, also using 4 sticks of RAM (4x32gb for 128 total), and an MSI 4090 RTX. Super excited to build it and this video will go a long way in helping guide me along.
I am building a PC basically the exact same as this but I’m curious, would I need the H170i liquid cooler like you have or would a H150i be good enough for the 7000D Full Tower with an Intel i9 14900K? If you have the time to answer this question thank you in advance 🤘🏻
Thanks very much mate, late comment but I was mainly looking at the case and then you showed the MOBO I’m getting and I was worried it didn’t have a m.2 but after seeing it does I’ll be buying it
Thought you need only one control... Panel? For corsair fans. Sorry, I'm still new to the pc world. And trying to keep my mind fresh when it comes to building pc.
Just got one, the wiring is a little confusing for me...so trying to find a really good wiring video.. but the case is great so far temps on my CPU dropped by 7-10 degrees.
I'd only change the PSU. It's a bit on the low end for this config because of the 3080 and also that model is inferior to the same wattage RM850i. Great build.
@@ZEN_7RZ It's not low, by any means, obviously. And most times it's fine. But there are versions of the 3080 (and specially the 3090) that can reach higher peak load than 850W. Important: PEAK load (meaning: for a second or even less). Also, most PSUs are rated below their higher peak load capacity (probably for this very reason), i.e., my RM850i from Corsair is rated for continuous 850W load, but it can for brief moments (peaks) go up to 935W. However, the amount of watts a power supply can output on peak is often different between models, meaning this RM850i can go up to 935W but maybe some unit from Thermaltake can only go up to 890W or something. Also, you need to take into account what are the other components in your system that draw from the 12V rail. A 3080 + R5 3600 is one thing - an 850W will do more than fine here. However, a 3080 + R9 5950X is another - and here, an 850W will probably not be enough in some scenarios.
your cable exstension made the fearing bolge out inside the panel to stick the cables to what causes this is the 24 pin and when you put your videocard in it looks like your pressing it in with the card and maybe than the card is under tension i dont know for sure but that just sticked out to me in this video great build other wise
Beautiful build, I have a question on your Formila Mod Sleeve did you buy two sets of this? why was 2 needed ? Just curious i want to get the same ones
Great build. Can you clarify which fans were connected to the back of the motherboard? I supposed only the chasis? And the AIO went to the commander pro? Thanks!
Another great build from one of my favorite RUclips PC builders. I have learned so much watching you. Looking forward to the next one.
Wow thank you I really appreciate it
Totally gonna upgrade to this case for a upcoming alderlake hopefully HOPEFULLY rtx 3070 next spring. :)

-Team T-Force Delta RGB 32GB (2x16) 6400MHz DDR5 Ram
-Team Cardea A440 M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 2TB
-Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Apex D5 Motherboard

-Asus ROG Thor Platinum Modular 1200W power supply
-Asus XG349C UWQHD 180Hz FreeSync HDR IPS Curved 34in Monitor (G-Sync compatible)

According to Corsair, you can only put 4 120mm fans. Unfortunately I longer own this PC and haven't tried the 140mm
Probably the best PC build which I can refer to while building my own. Kudos!!!
hey is that a no-thermal-compound-CPU that I'm seeing at 6:24...?
