ok I had a 2002, and a 2015. Both 4Wd not the proX but aside from the heated leather seats and dimming/temp RV mirror ours is about the same. We have the storage compartment on top.. I was surprised when I bought it because I assumed ALL vehicles came with the external temp. the pro X's were out of stock and it was 2015. So we got what they had. But we love it. It's a tough vehicle and I traded a 2yo RAV4 for it with many features but..... really, even the 4WD one we had- a glorified car. Which is fine for a car.. but we wanted a 4Wd SUV for our rural life and my work in a rural community requiring I get around and the Tundra was large, hard to park just anywhere and a gas guzzler. We still have it for dump runs, large shopping trips and trailer towing.. but the Xterra is the everything else almost vehicle. We just bought a 2020 Altima for commute and retirement car when that happens. But unless they make new xterras pretty much the same as the old ones only with more features.. we're not letting go of it.

They're on the Frontier chassis. That''s what makes them sooo good. a REAL SUV not a poser.
Even though Nissan stopped making the X, at least they didn't turn it into minivan/soccer mom SUV as they did to the once legendary Pathfinder.
