1. I know 心 (kokoro) means heart and 胸 (mune) means chest, but I feel like "mind" and "heart" are more accurate in the sentences.
2. チクタク (chikuchaku) basically is the sound of the clock (I think?), but I guess "without stopping" also brings out the same meaning
