The new stove looks great! It will certainly come in handy when winter arrives not to mention when the baby comes! This is going to be an exciting time for both of you. I can"t wait!!!
I really like that wood stove. Really nice looking. Beautiful job Kyle…👍
I just scored a brand new,in crate from 1999 Jotul #404 wood cook stove with oven!!! It's enameled cast iron and beautiful !!! Found it locally for $100.00 !!!!!!
Sweet…….!!!!
You professionally installed this heater.. Nice Job.. Women need good Men in there Lives.👻
So much learned from watching your channel. You are great at explaining everything in a way that even people like me get it. Thank you for sharing and making things simple.
It’s a Kyle video….what a bad a** who non-chantly just builds and fixes stuff.
Very cozy cabin!
Great idea about the air gap spacer. Thanks!
Nice work as always.
Btw, I asked in your last video on the new build land, what ever happened to the cabin you were building? It had the windows and doors going in and then stopped. Why now another build without finishing the one started already? Busy guy.
Get pictures of the Northern Lights Kyle, this Fall.
Hi from Canada .Interesting video thanks for sharing
Hello kyle glad to watch u
Great video! Nice to see Sierra w/ baby🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Hey, the cabin looks great!! It's going to be nice and snugglie this winter. I predict you guys will have a little boy to rock by that warm stove.
God's blessings to you and your family!!! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
The cabin is awesome Kyle. I was thinking you’d put a wood stove in there. You’ll need it soon. That old piece came in handy.
Hey Kyle how many Sq ft does your new little stove cover! I've a 225 Sq ft room to heat
Beautiful work..👍
Hey Kyle! That's a cute little stove. I like it
Very nice as always
Please, Remember insulate,... Really Insulate your floor, before Baby, Winter comes !!!!! Just sayineg.....;o), Ps you have Nothing in there.....
Very nice, Kyle.
Well done.
Great job Kyle. Can you believe the weather we’re having? High 70’s and low 50’s. Both of you, Sketter, your cat and chickens be well!!
Great job with the stove install! It looks awesome on the wall, and I'm sure it'll heat the new addition like noones business..😊 Love what you're doing 😊
Hi again KYLE
Happy fall!
Perfect timing getting your stove/fireplaces installed. You did a super job as usual. Will be just the right timing and you'll be all settled in for the baby too.
Looking forward to seeing your other cabin go up. Thx as always for sharing. Stay safe...
In New York the chimney stack has to be 2 feet above the highest peak of the home I don't know what code Minnesota has that wouldn't pass in New York.
Dude, stop simping for your masters. Break free from your enslavement and live free for once. You are living under the most advanced form of slavery the world has ever seen, and you the slave are literally helping your masters keep yourself in check. You have Stockholm syndrome. Wake up sheep.
When is the baby due? Do you know if you are having a little boy or girl?
I'm guessing a Girl after that shot of Mrs. Sierra in this video. high
I was thinking the same..girl
Naa it’s a boy without a doubt !!! Lol. I think she’s got about two maybe three months left…
👍🌾🍂🍁🇺🇲👍
👍🏻🏡
God bless you and your family!
How far from the Canadian border are you folks?
Minnesota, when I first found his channel a couple years ago I thought he was in Canada from his accent. Figured if he was close I would rip over and buy the dude a beer.
@@pete3028 😎 I know he's in Northern Minnesota. I was just wondering how far north he is.
Do you have to have the cement board or can you just have the metal with a 1 inch gap?
You can just put up sheetrock if you want, the metal heat shield and air gap are doing all the work. The cement board isn't doing anything at all over regular drywall. Neither material can combust and neither is a good insulator or reflector. He probably just had it on hand and saved himself some $$$ on the wooden planks in that spot. No reason to use good wood when it's covered with the corrugate metal.
@@prima164 cool thanks, that's what I thought, I'm doing the same thing he's doing with the same stove as well
Its amazing how well that heat shield works my wall was scorching hot before I put one on. Now I can put my hand behind the shield and its cool to the touch. I know it's common knowledge but it was impressive to me.
Boy or girl?
i believe you installed the black flue pipe opposite of what it should be, the crimped end should be faceing up to prevent smoke from seeping out through the joint
Crimped end is always DOWN, allowing creosote to drip back down into the chimney and stove, instead of leaking out from the splayed end. Any tiny bit of fugitive smoke will always be pulled into the chimney by draft effect, even if you had little holes in the side of the pipe, which you hopefully don't have.
Love the new stove
Good job man. Those are great stoves. Safe install. Like how you metal boxed twix the ceiling and roof. Big Stretch is a good silicon seal. Lasts well. Had to get on my roof and patch a valley this week. Heavy rains. Yeah it won't be a couple weeks til a heavy frost in the north country. Not that far from Int'l Falls. Coldest place in the world. All good from east Kentucky USA. Next time
Keeping toasty warm this winter. Love wood stove fires.🎉
Galvanized steel when heated releases a noxious gas ..........I have he same stove btw in my tiny home !
Perfect timing-I'm installing my Woodsman stove tomorrow. Thanks for the reassuring info, my fellow northern Minnesotan!
Very nice work. I've been wanting one of Dave's stoves for my tiny shed for quite awhile, but just not in the budget. They are quality stoves though. Thanks for the update!
Hi friend when you reeled off the safety check list one very important thing I was hoping you would mention that the wood you were burning should be 20%moisture content at maximum and the lower the better.
What’s the name of the silicone used?
Thanks
It’s Kyle’s cabin. Excellent video man. That stove is perfect for a little ambiance too. Can’t wait for more videos!!!
Great job, you have God given talent, and wisdom!
Love your channel. No nonsense, great confidence!
I bought the smaller version of this stove a few years ago for my 170 square foot hunting cabin. It is solid, works great and I can’t run it too high as it gets too hot in the cabin. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality stove!
Great job, it looks very nice!!! 🩷😊🩷
Hi there Kyle, Cierra, Skeeter and Luna🖐🏻. Love the wood stove. Look at the baby bump🤗, so excited for y'all. I've been busy taking care of my cousin David, he passed away September of cancer. Then hurricane Helene came through and did some damage. Finally back in Florida at my brother's. All good here. Now to play catch up on my videos. Stay safe. Love and Appreciate what y'all are doing. Love and Prayers For All ♥️🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi :) Kyle you make everything look so easy. Great work. Just remember, you'll also need some type of gate or barrier to ensure safety for the lil one. Congrats. Can't wait for you both to become parents, it's challenging but worth every minute of it - great moment in your lives.
Wow the woodstove looks really nice! Skeeter is going to love laying by the fire! Cierra looks beautiful with her baby bump!! My daughter has a beautiful baby bump too! Being a mother is one of the greatest gifts in life ♥️🥰♥️
Now all you need is some nice cold Minnesota weather!
I live in Texas now, but will be up in Two Harbors the end of October to tour some manufacturing facilities and some of the office girls we’re taking along are already nervous about the cold weather……..😂
Kool little Stove👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸Congrats, its Autumn and them chilly nights are upon us. Be blessed🙏🙏🙏
I guess I missed the explanation of what happened to the quaking aspen log structure he built the walls on, that is a few hundred yards from his main house…I thought his plan was to close it in this fall after the drying/settling of the logs took place??? Can someone fill me in on the status of that structure. Thank you!
Personal preference. When I do heat sheilding. No matter what it is. I leave roughly a one inch gap to the wall also. And I leave the same kind of gap at both the bottpm and top of my sheilding. It promotes air flow behind the sheilding through convective air flow. Helping to keep the wall cooler. And helping circulate some of the heat in the room.
Kyle love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and Sierra and working on the new addition installing the wood stove
Hoping you will install edge protection on the corrugated tin backing the fireplace that close to the doorway just as a safety for cuts. Maybe your planning door opening facing to cover it. Enjoy your channel
I'm a long-term viewer I live in the woods in Quebec your videos and very quickly before I have a chance to make a comment or like
Great progress on the addition & of course Skeeter was making sure it was done right
Looks really good! I like the glass door on the stove. A very nice feature! Great job!!!
Cute stove Kyle! Thanks!
You might want to consider a piece of metal or two up top for a heat shield .that metal roofing might sweat and drip back down on your ceiling. I hope not. Thanks for the videos !
I'd like a summer place up north but am glad I live down here in the desert W TX so I don't have to deal with too much heating. We get 3 scorching months then 9 months of bliss. If I had a northern cabin it would make me a reverse snow bird, I guess. I used to live in the north and had my fill of trying to stay warm all winter and some of the summer.
Never stop building 💪
leaving a space at the top and bottom with your stand off will help circulate heat by drawing cold air in at the bottom.
Nice stove. I remember the large stove that you dragged up that then future uncleared path from your last log cabin in the woods.
While everyone is saying how nice that stove is (it is!), I'm fixated on if Skeeter has felt the baby move yet?
I like your videos. A part of me would enjoy this stuff. It's a lot of work! I am bit of a sloth sometimes
I really like you new wood stove it really looks great 👍🏻
Enjoyed again Kyle Cierra and Skeeter 😊
Did you ever figure out what critter it was that was coming around your house?
Mine is two pieces of plate welded together with a 1" gab between the metals.
I have a regency and u can put it as close as 3" from a wall I believe. No shield
I like that stove. You have done a lot with your homestead.
That is one extremely small wood stove
Needs a 1” air gap at the base of the hear shield to draw air in at the bottom and a gap at the top to escape.
Kyle, aren't the outdoor extension pieces on the wood stove installed upside down? Water can run down the pipes and into the union and continue to the inside.
Beauty stove - that shirt rules too
What happened to the big new cabin?
Hey a two-fer this week! Cheers Kyle and best to the family.
You look so Beautiful Cierra
Love the tee shirt ! I use to have one that said
Chandler Wilbert
Great video, thanks
Awesome job!! Looks so nice!!!
Are y’all having a girl , looks like it to me
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a baby girl to me!
Love it! Great job!
Looks great!
You are a very hard worker.
Yeah, see you soon.😊
The goat
Awesome
I would love to purchase 1 maybe 3 of those stoves.are they priced high...
There's better types and better constructed ones out there.
They don't even mess with a subroof up there, just straight galvy....
It's called underlayment, not subroof. Subroof isn't even a word. Also there is absolutely no need for underlayment as long as you have water barriers to prevent the metal sweat from dripping into the insulation. All of these building codes that say you need this and you need that... they aren't there to keep you safe, they are there to steal more of your money and ignorant people like you just fall in line whenever your government masters tell you to.
Is your insurance company ok with that wood stove install? Galvanized chimney pipe? No ceiling support box? Be safe!
You sound like a limp wristed beta. "But what about the insurance company?" " But what about the rules?" "But what about what the government tells me I have to do?" Dude, seriously. Are you even hearing yourself speak. Your man card is revoked. So is your American card for that matter.
🖐😎👍
❤
👍👍
♥
I thought you needed double insulation pipe all the way to the top of rain cap you need a hot pipe to take the smoke out what do you think
Double and triple insulated pipe is a relatively new product. People been using single walled stove pipe for centuries. Literally every building code ever invented is there solely to steal money out of your pocket, not to keep you safe. How have people not learned this yet after the past four years we've had? Sheeple.
