When you were cleaning the fish, I was wondering if you were going to give the scraps to the chickens. They seemed thrilled with the fish, too! Your supper looked delicious. I love sunfish, perch and walleye. My favorite fish of all time. One day we caught a mess of sun fish and I decided to try cooking them a different way. I put them onto a cookie sheet', basted them with butter and sprinkled a lot of ground up saltines on them. Baked them at 400. We all loved them! Fried or baked, it doesn't matter,... so delicious! I'd like to comment that you're one of the best husbands on the planet. Your wife is a lucky young woman. :)
You should consider doing a collaboration with Tiny Cabin Life. He’s in Minnesota too. I bet Ellie and Skeeter would get along (I’d hope). Y’all are my 2 favorite channels. Keep ‘em coming

Hi Kyle, Love the lake your on it reminds me of my kake I grew up on snd did a lot of camping as well has fishing. I use to take cabin renters back to fish. We had 12 rentals. Outing near Emily. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay. We had fish in the 24 to 36 inch range when I was a kid. One day, when I was about 7 or 8, I brought home a stringer full of sunnies and asked my mom to cook them for lunch. She laughed and so did everyone else. Not much meat on one of those. I heard you say, "sunny fish fry" and laughed at the memory.
Yes it's been hot here in Minnesota. It's almost like the temps we are getting in Sept. are what we get in Aug. Maybe this year we will have a warm Halloween. I was a kid back in the 70's last time I remember wearing a t-shirt trick-o-treating.

Any pickerel in that lake (or walleye), they would be good eating I would think. I watch Joe with this Northern Seclusion channel, he seems to catch a lot of PIKE, which look to be quite tedious to fillet up. I love me a good feed of perch. mm mm mm...

I like white bass similar to crappie but never cared for the taste of large mouth or small mouth bass, they always seemed to have a metallic taste to the meat.

What you are calling sun fish, we call blue gills . The are very similar with the sunfish being more colorful, they do taste the same.
