- Here’s an updated tour of our off grid cabin and our land. The cabin was built for $10,000, not including the inside. I didn’t include the inside price because that will
be different for everyone. Hopefully this video help let others that are designing a cabin or tiny house, and can decide what they like and don’t like about ours. Thanks for watching. #outdoors #homesteading #offgrid - Развлечения
This cozy little place is really all humans need! People are so materialistic...I'm glad people are returning to simplicity. This is absolutely wonderful!! He's done an amazing job ... especially for not being a carpenter!!!
so "all humans need" is £1 million of land & a cabin that costs £100,000 to build. that's £1.1 million.
@@HowDidIGet3700Subshe says in the beginning it cost less than 10,000 to build. And the land was definitely way less than 1 million
@@bloopsy999 You cannot build that for under £10k in the UK and can't get planning permission to build a place like that to live in England in such a large land area, without around £1 million.
@@HowDidIGet3700SubsAll I hear are excuses. Move down to France then mate.
@@AndreasMarcos Not qualifying for french immigration rules isn't an excuse; it's a fact. England isn't in the EU anymore.
Probably the best Ryan’s ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.
I'm a carpenter's apprentice and I'm working towards getting enough money and to raise my credit score to purchase some land and live the homestead life. Videos like this just push me to work even harder to get there, this is my dream. I want to build multiple cabins on my property for any family members who are interested in helping out or need a temporary place to stay.
Love the idea of this, planning laws make it so hard here in the UK though
Pay cash or don't buy it. Credit is slavery.
I don't know anyone who went offgrid with a loan and was successful.
Some white paint on the ceiling in the kitchen will help brighten up the room.
Light colors work well on surfaces too, bounces light ..
Please don't paint the natural logs!
Love it....I love a butter yellow kichen, it does brighten up the space and yes, the ceiling could use some white paint to really open up that kitchen...all in all, you have a nice home. .very cozy..
Just buy a few big mirrors
Yeah
Nice work Kyle. 10k, some recycled and you are free. The wife and I did the same. Went from a 4000 sq ft home with a mortgage to a 1000 sq ft home off grid with no payments. Never been happier.
I like the simple life. Thoreau said, "Drive life into a corner and reduce it to the lowest terms."
Worked all my life but like Yours better age 75
I'll be 85 in May.@@donaldgarrison4313
You say you are not a carpenter but you doing great. My dad was a carpenter and I wish he was alive to help me build a cabin like yours.
Having skills to do this is essential. Having help is great.
You guys have a great setup don't let anyone tell you any different. We all wish we could be self-sufficient like you guys.
It is a true blessing. They are living a blessed life.
I'm blessed to wake up everyday with my blood flowing
Under cabinet lighting is a game changer. You can buy super slim small low energy use straps. They even come with a dimmer. Would darken up that corner counter spot. You'd be shocked at what a few under counter lights do. Ceiling lights are behind you when you're working at the counter and when you're standing working at the counter it creates shadows. Also ..nice little late night "cookie and milk" lighting.:)
good idea or even those little push battery lights
First of all, congratulations to your parents in raising you!
Ran into your videos today and just wanted to thank you for taking the time in putting them for the whole world to see! You did an exceptional job with your home and I often tell young men that if I had to do it all over again, I would basically do what you've done.
Again, congratulations on your home and may God continue to bless you!!!
Kyle, you and your wife have done a fantastic job over the last couple of years. I dont want to spell her name wrong Ciera. I hope her knee heals quickly.
Congratulations you did a great job on the cabin, not only does it hone your skills but gives you the confidence to tackle other projects as well. Be proud you worked hard and long now take a break , sit back and enjoy.
(This is Tom, not Sandra.)
Kyle, you and Ciera have done a great job in making your house a home. Thank you for the tour. It's great that you both, and Skeeter, have your own home away from the crap of a big city. You both should be so proud of your accomplishments in this area, of making a life for yourselves. Winter's almost around the corner again. Take care and be good!! May GOD continue to bless you all in your new life together out in the wild.
We raised our family off the grid with composting toilets, rain catchment, solar power, wind generation and wood stoves. Spent 13 years doing that lifestyle. I wish we had done a vlog of all we did. It was an amazing yet challenging lifestyle. We moved to a new location and set up another off grid/on grid cabin but have the flushy toilet this time and I don't miss having to dump that toilet every 3 days.😄
What makes your craftsmanship even more impressive is having learned by doing this yourself. Shows your talent. Doesn't hurt that you have such an incredible partner. I'm 63, a grandmother and I live in the White Mntns NH. I don't know if I've ever been more impressed by someone your age. Your work ethic and looks to the future are incredible. My grandkids love this channel.
I'm a plumber I have some ideas for you. When you want a water system. Electric or propane tankless and you can a storage tank with 2 floats in it. Filling float to fill tank and the second float so the tank does run dry. Poly ran to it 3 ft Underground and stubbed up into the cabin with a heat trace and a pump inside for pressure once the main enters the cabin. You can get pumps that only run. When a fixture calls for water
A very nice homestead. You have everything needed. Plus debt free!!
about 8 years ago I bought a 10 acre piece here in Pinal Valley in Southern Arizona right on the Picacho Reservoir when I was working as a Traveling Tech for Indian Motorcycles, I worked in this area a couple times and fell in love with it because it's not what people think when they hear "Arizona", yes technically it's "Desert" but it's really not Desert either, it's alot more lush than the High Desert most commonly thought of. My Cabin is 16'x26' (416 Sq Ft.). I got lucky I don't need a bathroom, because Where I live there is a water reservoir that is also a state park that has bathrooms and shower facilities just a mile from my cabin so I jump on my truck and head over there.
Beautiful. Soooo smart to see you young kids loving a great life withOUT a mortgage!!!! Proud of you and super jealous too....can't get my husband to commit to living simple and FREE
It has been a joy to watch your progress in off grid living.
Continue to put your mark on your property.
You've done a lovely job of building a cozy homestead. Staying debt-free is really smart. Keep up the great work.
This is very impressive!
Thanks Kyle! Hope CIERRA Is doing ok. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessings
Everything look awesome you have done a good job you definitely need to be proud of what you and her have done young people your age they still live with their mom and dad and don't know how to use a hammer thank you
Hello from Alberta Canada........ Nice job Kyle. .... Dont know what to say. I have been following you since Day 1.
Roof globe lighting is great. 6 in hold and tons of natural light.
Lots of changes in kitchen👍
Beautiful Kyle, job well done.
Great job .
5 years off grid .20x24, 12x20 coverd pourch...
I love my cabin.
Great job .You have a nice home.
Life. Simplified. What a sweet place to call home!
Thank you for the tour.
u are both stella at work and decor settings
ciera good luck with your knee
Lucky you have access to water like that. Not everyone can even get that so easily. Though wish you had a water well to be easier
Very nice Kyle & Cierra .👍👍
I love it! I get sooo homesick for northern MN when I watch your videos. It is so cozy. I also spotted that fantastic Red Wing crock. Glad the first frost happened-less mosquitos! Time for some fall fishing!
I love your videos Kyle. Thank you.
Love your cabin and property. 💖 Thanks for sharing
You could easily put a large window in your door without having to build a new one. LEDs for the kitchen are efficient and cheap. Nominal power useage
I love what you've done to your home. It looks so cozy
They also have a shower for campers for outdoors..or you could use indoors..but it’s a black semi thick bag that you fill with water & hang it outside for the sun to heat & it has a hose/nozzle with on/off lever…works great in summer but winters maybe not unless you inside to heat water…but it wasn’t expensive
How do you do your laundry? Thanx for your tour. It's wonderful to have no debt. It's the way to go.
I've been watching your videos for quite a while and I have to say that I think you're a very talented young man. Everything is done to your liking and that's the important thing. It works for you! Not everyone could do that. Not everyone could live this way but you do and you're happy. Hats off for you! I find inspiration from you! Not all the youth of today feels entitled! The world needs more people like you! You live by the standards I believe in, K. I. S. S. Keep It Stupid Simple. No need to complicate life. You may not have all the "toys" other people think they need, but you know how to have fun and be creative and comfortable. Good job! Thanks for sharing this information with us! God bless you! Look forward to seeing your videos!
You two have built a great home . You have worked hard Kyle , for your accomplishments. You have a lovely, life partner. Your ambition, and hustle , has paid off. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Looks great
Just beautiful! I’ve watched all your videos from the beginning and I love seeing the progress and how homey it is now that you’ve lived in it for a while. Awesome job… Best luck and continued success!
Loved the tour Kyle. The dividing wall has made such a difference to the living space. Its gone from one room rustic to cute cozy home. Like you i dont watch TV apart from one show at 5.30 week nights. I get a lot of my inspiration from watching you tube.. its a wealth of information. If you cant find a “how to” video on something you know it cant be fixed 😂😂😂. Hope you and Cierra keep well, and look forward to you needing those extra bedrooms in the loft😉😉
You both have done a BEAUTIFUL JOB. There is only one WARNING I almost died and my doggy from using those ventless heaters. You MUST have DOUBLE the amount of square footage of oxygen to be safe and NOT as the heater box recommends. Lastly, please MOVE your doggy's bed far away from that heater due to the fumes. All fumes residue does not clear out. Best Wishes. Your place is fantastic!
It has been a real pleasure to watch how you and Sierra have built this lovely home and taken care of your beautiful property. Congratulations! I love watching your videos. Hope Cierra is better now. 🌷🌷
Beautiful Beautiful 😍 may the Lord continue to Bless you 🙏 ❤️ I just love ❤️ cabin it's Fantastic.
I also love what you have done so far and it will only get better and better. I like your simplicity which is so inspiring and which allowed you to be financially independent. I can't wait to see the next episodes ...
Great setup and it's nice to see someone homesteading really treat the animals with kindness which I can tell you do!
Love your area! More light in the kitchen for sure. Hopefully a new door with a window makes a big difference.
I love my MVP blue jug, its been a God send.
Your home is awesome Kyle, you guys did a great job. Looking forward to the winter video's.
Great setup Kyle and Cierra, thanks for showing us, I haven’t seen the loft since you covered the ceiling and put up the wall! Looks great! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
I like the kitchen idea of having everything out!
Nice tour. I have a recommendation for you. The kitchen sink faucet can become functional. It's a game changer. I put in a foot pump hooked up to a small plastic tank and a couple hoses. Super simple and fairly cheap. If you control the water output with your foot you will save water too. I bought the Whale GP4618 Babyfoot Manual Freshwater Galley Pump, Connects to ½-Inch Flexible Hose, 2.2 GPM Max Flow Rate. Works great off grid. I put in a quick disconnect so I can simply purge the water in the winter. It's just better to wash a dish with water control and both hands in the sink. Take care.
You say you aren't a builder but we think you have done awesome. Good for you persevering and learning as you go. Keep up the great work. Was nice to see a "celebrity" in person at the sportsman's. We are from Bigfork and have been watching you for some time. LOL. Loving the kitty too. What does Skeeter think?? LOL. Take care!
We own a deer shack near Little Fork Mn. That is on leased land. Did you have to buy land or what. We pay a small tax and lease annul fee. Like your
Work and your attitude keep it going.
I just wanted to say I saw your tour video I love it. I love the idea you done everything simple. Great Job. I built 16x28 shed in Naples Florida tiny homes are not allowed. I kept it very simple open floor plan i was forced to connect to grid. But I also use solar. Inside I use only a air fryers it does everything I need. I use my grill mostly. Shower is connected to well. Not connected to septic. Use composting toilet Nature Head. I will tell you this she house has survived Hurrican Erma cat 4 direct hit. And IAN cat 4 both times no damage. Power was out 5 days. Before storm hit I connect toilet vent fan to my battery bank of 2 batteries. I ran 14 hours on battery. Only using Generator at night. I plan on Building pretty much another tiny home in AZ I want chickens also. But being in city limit won't allow me to. Love the garden area. I done mine using 4x4 post and wooden fence al free from hurricane Erma lol still holding up strong. Great Job can't wait to see more.
Depending on the area you live if you find valcano rocks you can make a steam bath' or steam room. Thats what we do its a tradtional native way of cleansing. Feels so nice.
Hey Kyle, great video of your off grid cabin. I am blown away by all you have, and continue to accomplish there. You and Cierra have certainly built a nice place there. Since you built it yourself from scratch it must be comforting to know you own it and its paid for. You have done well!
Looks very homey . Great job!
Awesome!!! Thank you for the tour!!
Few more months and I’ll be attempting this lifestyle, I’ll definitely be using all your videos for building ideas. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for the tour Kyle I believe I watched everyone of your videos since finding you a couple of years ago You and your family your dad helping you and doing stuff on your own says a lot for yourself thank you again keep safe
I was watching the video and realized I heard an all too familiar Midwest accent, when you panned over to the wall with the Minnesota shaped (clock?) Decor, it all made sense! I’m from the Midwest too! Super cool cabin, I find this kind of living very fascinating. One day!
Love it! So great to see kitty outside romping around with you!
Loved the tour! I have watched both you guys since the beginning and I love how you live. Great video !
I love your cabin, simple but effective

Simply beautiful! Amazing work you both accomplished.
Great tour Kyle 👍👍, thanks.
Thank you for doing this video. Good luck for the future you have a lovely home
You guys should be incredibly proud having accomplished so much, that has been done so very well, at such a relatively young age. Curious about a few aspects of self-reliance that others in similar situations have struggled with. With winter around the corner & gardening season coming to an end, do you plan to do any big game hunting for deer, moose or elk to offset some of your food costs? How do you generate a sufficient income to support your lifestyle choice and the inevitable, albeit reduced costs of living off the grid? And how did you acquire the land on which to build these worthwhile & rewarding construction projects? Apologies in advance if you have covered these topics off in previous videos as I am a relative newcomer to your channel.
They are just like Red Lobster, no manners, and no idea of how to treat customers.
Great job young man. You are living the life that more of us should live. Beautiful place
I really like the rock setup under the wood stove.
So cozy! I love it.
Watched your videos since the beginning and you’ve done well. Your a credit to the younger generation- proud of you!
Your cabin and out buildings are looking great. Adding that wall in between the kitchen and living room gave you so much more work and storage space.
Very eye pleasing to see your simple life
Great tour Kyle, thank you. I love your way of living ~~ Blessings to you & Cierra
Imagine have this for a monthly cost basis and working a remote job via a Starlink ! Great video Lik'd and Sub' for this great content!
