Just found this, wanted to share with you Dewayne - my dad got sick when I was 18, I lost him when I was 20, had to drop out of school and everything to help my mom take care of him (honored to, I loved him dearly). Since he's been gone 14 years now I've been trying to figure out life things largely alone, and there aren't hardly any men out there that will actually sit down and encourage us younger men, or teach us. Videos like this make me feel cared for and it's nice to learn from an older man. Thank you.

You are a true “man.” Caring for your mother and taking your father’s responsibility for any measure of time is truly a selfless act expressing what being a “man” is all about. No matter how long it has been I am sorry for your loss but fight on and learn what you must.

I just found out your channel and as a Spanish teenager I must say (said this just as an excuse for any misuse of the english language), man! I didn't know there were still people with such good values and right minded in this crazy world we live in. You gave me great inspiration to just enjoy things that I love and stop caring about what society thinks about me. Greetings from El Campello (Spain).

It has helped me throughout my life and in the raising of my own children. I learned something here too. Never seen eggs cracked on the inside of the bowl, but it makes perfect sense. I just stumbled onto this video in my recommended and I just have to say that I originally came for the cooking because I’m a small boy from Guam so I have no idea what a breakfast like this entails, but towards the end of your video I had stayed for your life lesson. As a young man, I want to be a good role model for the children that come after me and I believe that your take on patience and how everything starts at home resonates a motivation in me to be better. I could listen to this man talk all day about his experience and his world views.

That's how I was my grandpa used to always cook the dinner and I would watch him my grandma would cook breakfast and I would watch her and then my mom was really good person to learn cooking from and she used to love watching cooking shows back when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. I took everything I learned and then put my own twist into different things. At this point I can pretty much cook anything can I make up a lot of recipes with no cookbook I can just go through what's in the kitchen and what would go well together and just create something because I grew up poor and that's a survival skill that you need to know.

Dewayne, that cowboy breakfast lays a good foundation for a day of hard work. I have my own adaptation of this recipe. I use Tennessee Pride Country Sausage (Hot) and three eggs scrambled in a little whole milk. I add some diced sweet onion and diced tomatoes along with some grated sharp cheddar cheese. Plate it up and add a little Texas Pete Hot Sauce. A cup of strong, black camp coffee and I’ve got one of my favorite breakfast meals. I greatly appreciate you sharing your cowboy breakfast this morning.

I cook eggs everyday pretty similar to this, except I make an omelette. If you keep the heat down to Medium, the eggs will set with the sausage and whatever you put on them. I flip them, then turn heat to low and sprinkle with cheese. Then fold in half. Cheese will be on the inside. I have Oatmeal with them and a 3/4 cup of yogurt and herbal tea.

      Hey, same here buddy.
4:30 in the morning, I switched to an " american breakfast " in the last 6 months because in France, we have that bad habit of typically eating sweet stuff in the morning.
Sugar does no good, plus there is a natural boost in glucose from our body, proeuced by the liver, before we wake up to help us get going, more sugar just results in a spike which leaves us with a down a few hours later, as opposed to good fat and proteins. And a whole fruit at the end of the breakfast. No juice.
I go back to my French soul for the rest of the day but starting with sugar in the morning is really bad, I've noticed how it determines the rest of the day.

My mom taught me how to cook mostly and I am so grateful for her. My dad was one of those types who'd only put stuff in the microwave and drink exclusively soda. He wouldn't even get frozen pizza that you put in the oven, that was too advanced. We got fast food a lot too and I wonder how I didn't become a fat kid because I always ate terribly.
My mom taught me a bunch of simple recipes and always helped me find more online or in cook books. Now that I've moved out, I realize how valuable it is. My apartment doesn't come with a microwave and I haven't once missed it since! I don't have many friends in my new area yet but sometimes I have people come over and I cook a good meal for them. It makes me so happy to share my food with people. My favorite things to cook are soups and curries. I'd love to see more cooking videos and kitchen tips from you Dewayne. Thank you for all your videos, they have significantly improved my life.

I just gave this recipe a go with my own personal favorite sausage, and i found it pretty nice, it found through out the early hours of the day it helped me stay energized. And what makes it even better is that its quick and easy to make. This really does show you how you don't need a lot of money to make healthy meal.

I wanna see more of Dwayne's recipes.
Here in Brazil countryside's workers before going to the coffee fields prepare and store their food (usually rice, beans, meat and potatoes) in an "aluminium lunch pail" called "marmita". They often wrap it up with a dishcloth to keep It warm until lunchtime. When they arrive at the field they eat a bit of that around 6:30 a.m. and the other part they eat around 11 a.m.

Awesome vid. You inspired me to get back into cooking eggs again haha. An old Englishman that I used to know years ago used to do very similar to what you do here but he used to crumble in some black pudding to his omelette mixture and upon serving used to drizzle some Worcestershire sauce over it. he didn't even add salt and pepper, the black pudding and the worcestershire was the seasoning =)

I love these kind of videos.
I'm not into the habit of making my own food all the time but I would like to be. This morning before heading to work I had bacon, egg and toast. That feels much better than grabbing a sandwich at a gas station on the way to work. I think I will try to get into the habit of making supper everyday, or maybe breakfast. One good meal a day is better than none, and its about building the habit rather than jumping in all at once.
That thing on patience. Shorts cuts make for long delays. And slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The battle today in the modern world is the battle of being able to keep our attention span and patience along with it. Many people are convinced that rushing gets more results than being a little more slower and smoother, even when experience contradicts that.

I've found patience along with intentional movements with almost anything in life have served me well. This breakfast is a great example! It's counterintuitive to not eat everything (or anything) out of a microwave, but the many levels of satisfaction from chopping, cooking, waiting, timing, cleaning -as-I-go, a little trial and error with temperatures/ingredients/etc, it all makes the final dish taste great. Food done así feeds not only the body, but the soul!✊🤝

Pretty much what I make for breakfast every morning. A little bit of sausage or bacon and onion to flavor the cast iron pan. If I have vegetables or potatoes in the fridge to get rid of, I'll add a handful of spinach to wilt, maybe bell pepper, mushrooms, or diced potato. I use heavy cream in the scrambled eggs too but I usually skip the cheese.

My wife is lactose intolerant, so I use about 1/4 cup water with 2-3 eggs. To a hot skillet add 1/4 tsp olive oil, crushed clove fresh ajo add diced onion (1/8 inch), diced bell pepper (1/4 cup), diced tomato (1/4 cup) and the broken corn chips from the bottom of the bag. Two plates of Migas.
