Just found this, wanted to share with you Dewayne - my dad got sick when I was 18, I lost him when I was 20, had to drop out of school and everything to help my mom take care of him (honored to, I loved him dearly). Since he's been gone 14 years now I've been trying to figure out life things largely alone, and there aren't hardly any men out there that will actually sit down and encourage us younger men, or teach us. Videos like this make me feel cared for and it's nice to learn from an older man. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. Many men are going through the same thing. Many of us have gone through or are currently facing similar challenges. God bless your journey; we love and support you.
You are a true “man.” Caring for your mother and taking your father’s responsibility for any measure of time is truly a selfless act expressing what being a “man” is all about. No matter how long it has been I am sorry for your loss but fight on and learn what you must.
Lads need Dads. If you do not have a Dad for whatever reason, a knowledgeable older man who is willing to spend time and teach or give advice is priceless.
most cooking shows are filled with different camera angles, cuts, pre-made food, and yet somehow this gentle man cooking in real time a simple meal was even more captivating
I just found out your channel and as a Spanish teenager I must say (said this just as an excuse for any misuse of the english language), man! I didn't know there were still people with such good values and right minded in this crazy world we live in. You gave me great inspiration to just enjoy things that I love and stop caring about what society thinks about me. Greetings from El Campello (Spain).
You’ve got perfect English sir. If you’ve ever got the time and money to travel, try out Custer South Dakota. Not far from some big US monuments like crazy horse and mt Rushmore but also not as well known as Montana and Wyoming. Just as beautiful without the traffic
In my opinion, no young person should leave home without these basic skills. I am thankful that my mother and father taught me how to cook and clean. It has helped me throughout my life and in the raising of my own children. I learned something here too. Never seen eggs cracked on the inside of the bowl, but it makes perfect sense. Alot of wisdom shared here about patience and doing things right. Nicely done Sir!
Should definitely do more simple cooking videos with a variety of these simple meals. The food looks great and you drop great knowledge in your cooking videos.
We just has this for lunch today, it was really good, my wife’s a real good cook so after we watched the video a couple days ago she gave it a try. We both enjoyed it and will do it again ! Your horsemanship attitude closely mirrors ours and I’ve been a subscriber and follower for a long time now. God Bless you and Momma !
I like the cooking video. Cooking is calming for me to watch and a healthy meal is so important. I have cancer and limited how long I can stand and the recipes looks nourishing and simple enough to make for myself as I live alone. The cooking and the stories help me not focus on my pain and how I can make myself better by doing a simple meal. Thank you so much. God Bless.
What? I cook A. lot. Many varied recipes. Chicken Booyah. My favorite soup. I appreciate your response. I am not a senior. I am a young. No where near a senior.
I just stumbled onto this video in my recommended and I just have to say that I originally came for the cooking because I’m a small boy from Guam so I have no idea what a breakfast like this entails, but towards the end of your video I had stayed for your life lesson. As a young man, I want to be a good role model for the children that come after me and I believe that your take on patience and how everything starts at home resonates a motivation in me to be better. I could listen to this man talk all day about his experience and his world views.
I learned how to cook as a man from watching my grandma and grandpa in the kitchen. The reason I subscribed was you had wisdom in your words like my grandfather. So many men and women need guidance today and you’re someone who can help them in simple ways from your videos. 🙏🏽
That's how I was my grandpa used to always cook the dinner and I would watch him my grandma would cook breakfast and I would watch her and then my mom was really good person to learn cooking from and she used to love watching cooking shows back when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. I took everything I learned and then put my own twist into different things. At this point I can pretty much cook anything can I make up a lot of recipes with no cookbook I can just go through what's in the kitchen and what would go well together and just create something because I grew up poor and that's a survival skill that you need to know.
I loved watching you in the kitchen Dwayne it’s so different from what I normally see you doing. It’s good to see a good man cooking a good meal not just leaving it for mama. I loved your skillet and how well seasoned it is, it was a site of beauty! Mama You do a great job on that camera. Don’t let anybody tell you different.❤
If you have a freezer it's really easy to make frozen muffins and things too. They'll last like a month in foil (after 3 weeks though they usually get quite freezer burnt) and a bit longer vac packed.
Dewayne, that cowboy breakfast lays a good foundation for a day of hard work. I have my own adaptation of this recipe. I use Tennessee Pride Country Sausage (Hot) and three eggs scrambled in a little whole milk. I add some diced sweet onion and diced tomatoes along with some grated sharp cheddar cheese. Plate it up and add a little Texas Pete Hot Sauce. A cup of strong, black camp coffee and I’ve got one of my favorite breakfast meals. I greatly appreciate you sharing your cowboy breakfast this morning.
Start with a diced potato, then add the sausage, onion, baby tomatoes and cheese. Rollup in a tortilla. Wrap one up for lunch too. Don't forget your hot sauce.😊
YEP! Haha...i tell them boys i work with they wouldn't be draggin all day or clockin in last minute if they'd go to bed at a decent time and get up earlier so they got time to wake up n eat take a hot shower whatever..no they jump up n throw their clothes on n run out the door
I cook eggs everyday pretty similar to this, except I make an omelette. If you keep the heat down to Medium, the eggs will set with the sausage and whatever you put on them. I flip them, then turn heat to low and sprinkle with cheese. Then fold in half. Cheese will be on the inside. I have Oatmeal with them and a 3/4 cup of yogurt and herbal tea.
Speaking as someone currently attending culinary classes and who comes from a family that never really valued real, authentic home cooking, videos like this are truly invaluable to me. Something so nostalgic and elegant about simple, hearty meals like this. Thank you. 🙏
Yep i just started the carnivore diet listening to Dr Ken Berry and Dr Anthony Chaffee. 4 weeks in i feel great and have lost 14 ib and no craving sweets.
I remember that campfire cooking video. Loved it! Glad to see you back cooking again. Incredible how much you can learn about life from preparing a meal.
I’m up at 4:30 most every day. Sit with a cup of coffee. Cook my breakfast of eggs and sausage or bacon. Sometimes fried and sometimes scrambled. I scramble them same as you, but I need to add the whipping cream. I put my cheese in as soon as I pour the eggs into the skillet. Melts and blends in thoroughly. No bread. No carbs.
Hey, same here buddy. 4:30 in the morning, I switched to an " american breakfast " in the last 6 months because in France, we have that bad habit of typically eating sweet stuff in the morning. Sugar does no good, plus there is a natural boost in glucose from our body, proeuced by the liver, before we wake up to help us get going, more sugar just results in a spike which leaves us with a down a few hours later, as opposed to good fat and proteins. And a whole fruit at the end of the breakfast. No juice. I go back to my French soul for the rest of the day but starting with sugar in the morning is really bad, I've noticed how it determines the rest of the day.
Dewayne, thank you so much for sharing so many life skills and lessons with your followers. Your calm and steady demeanor, with your willingness to help others sets an example I am excited to follow as I grow older. Thank you.
Another way to do it is just chip the narrow end of the egg on the rim of the bowl only enough to get it started. Then lift off that cap over the bowl and the egg will pour out without making a mess and no shell bits will end up in the egg.
Sending this to my almost 18yo grandson. The recipe is good and the wisdom is great! Every young man should have a man like you around! I loved all your words 💯
I will eat it like you made, for sure, but if I have fresh veggies, I have been known to add chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, minced garlic or garlic powder, chopped green, orange, or yellow pepper, and even some leaf baby spinach. So good! Nancy from Arkansas
Lol Momma's gonna hit me over the head ... Cause she's a mean one. 🥰. I enjoyed your cooking and as always your life advice. Thank you Dewayne you and Momma have a great week.
You are doing a great service to all boys and men who grew up without a father or a neglectful one. Teaching what normal is and looks like, having values and ignoring society noise, ALL keys to developing good habits for a good life.♥️Well done Dwayne.
That looked great, Dwayne. I like to taste my food, too, and for the most part use butter, salt, and pepper to do any flavor enhancing and browning. Thanks for another food video. God bless you and mamma. Hey, Mamma.

The school now teach crazy stuff but they don’t teach basic cooking and budgeting/how to daily finance. Like some common sense living that maybe they’re parents are too busy working to get the time to teach.
Dewayne - Hey man, thanks for the good cooking show today. I am stuck in the city for work, but this really put me back in the cabin sights sounds and I swear I could smell the kitchen. It was encouragement to make myself lunch today and skip my microwave goto. Thanks buddy!
My mom taught me how to cook mostly and I am so grateful for her. My dad was one of those types who'd only put stuff in the microwave and drink exclusively soda. He wouldn't even get frozen pizza that you put in the oven, that was too advanced. We got fast food a lot too and I wonder how I didn't become a fat kid because I always ate terribly. My mom taught me a bunch of simple recipes and always helped me find more online or in cook books. Now that I've moved out, I realize how valuable it is. My apartment doesn't come with a microwave and I haven't once missed it since! I don't have many friends in my new area yet but sometimes I have people come over and I cook a good meal for them. It makes me so happy to share my food with people. My favorite things to cook are soups and curries. I'd love to see more cooking videos and kitchen tips from you Dewayne. Thank you for all your videos, they have significantly improved my life.
I make basically the same thing every day. Quick, easy, filling and affordable! Good way to use up leftover vegetables from dinner too like peppers, mushrooms, onion and tomatoes. Ill crack 3 eggs in the morning and will be full till super time
I just gave this recipe a go with my own personal favorite sausage, and i found it pretty nice, it found through out the early hours of the day it helped me stay energized. And what makes it even better is that its quick and easy to make. This really does show you how you don't need a lot of money to make healthy meal.
I love how you apply a life lesson to every day activities. 👍👍 I've learned much from your videos. Thank you and many blessings to you and mama Noel. 🎚❤️
I wanna see more of Dwayne's recipes. Here in Brazil countryside's workers before going to the coffee fields prepare and store their food (usually rice, beans, meat and potatoes) in an "aluminium lunch pail" called "marmita". They often wrap it up with a dishcloth to keep It warm until lunchtime. When they arrive at the field they eat a bit of that around 6:30 a.m. and the other part they eat around 11 a.m.
I make that all the time. Breakfast or dinner. Sometimes, I use sausage or ham or leftover pulled pork. I like green peppers and onions too. Good stuff.
Oh cooking channel and wisdom packed!!love it lol I’m carnivore so that meal is perfect for me looks so good and you cook in a cast iron pan as well ,thank you so much for sharing❤❤
I learned how to cook from a young age from my mom. I never had to rely on anyone to cook for me since I was young. Now that I’m in my 20s, when nobody is around, I can always cook something for myself
Love this kind of video. I've rewatched the breakfast at the campfire and coffee one so many times. I know how to cook, but it's the relaxing factor that I love. Thank you for making these!
I found out about his channel through random suggested videos and this is his first video I have seen, I am thankful to the RUclips algorithms to introduce me to this fine young gentleman.
Laughing at myself enjoying watching Dewayne cook eggs as Momma films!❤❤Pretty sure I’m not the only one😂😂😂 … and this mornings breakfast is…. with thanks to my chickens too! When one listens, there are always gems of wisdom to be found in Dewayne’s words even when cracking eggs!
Thank you for sharing such important life lessons with us. Totally agree! It's all about having patience and taking/ making the time for this and that.
Sir dewayne thankyou for your videos, i grew up without knowing what a father is and i felt like i have a father once in my lifetime because of your videos, I'm a young man who is lost and don't know what to do in life but i found you and your videos, and felt that i have a mentor, father and friend genuinely help me and i thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
Awesome vid. You inspired me to get back into cooking eggs again haha. An old Englishman that I used to know years ago used to do very similar to what you do here but he used to crumble in some black pudding to his omelette mixture and upon serving used to drizzle some Worcestershire sauce over it. he didn't even add salt and pepper, the black pudding and the worcestershire was the seasoning =)
I love these kind of videos. I'm not into the habit of making my own food all the time but I would like to be. This morning before heading to work I had bacon, egg and toast. That feels much better than grabbing a sandwich at a gas station on the way to work. I think I will try to get into the habit of making supper everyday, or maybe breakfast. One good meal a day is better than none, and its about building the habit rather than jumping in all at once. That thing on patience. Shorts cuts make for long delays. And slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The battle today in the modern world is the battle of being able to keep our attention span and patience along with it. Many people are convinced that rushing gets more results than being a little more slower and smoother, even when experience contradicts that.
Thank you for taking the time to show us this. It is nice to see you keep it simple and straight forward but in the way you know is the best taste. I'll have your cowboy breakfast any time sir.
This is the best channel on RUclips. I love all of your videos and I hope that you stay safe and keep making videos. It means a lot to me and everyone that watches you channel.
Love these videos. So much wholesome knowledge that is forgotten in todays world. Grew up on a farm with cows and horses so this feels like home to me.
I've found patience along with intentional movements with almost anything in life have served me well. This breakfast is a great example! It's counterintuitive to not eat everything (or anything) out of a microwave, but the many levels of satisfaction from chopping, cooking, waiting, timing, cleaning -as-I-go, a little trial and error with temperatures/ingredients/etc, it all makes the final dish taste great. Food done así feeds not only the body, but the soul!✊🤝
Pretty much what I make for breakfast every morning. A little bit of sausage or bacon and onion to flavor the cast iron pan. If I have vegetables or potatoes in the fridge to get rid of, I'll add a handful of spinach to wilt, maybe bell pepper, mushrooms, or diced potato. I use heavy cream in the scrambled eggs too but I usually skip the cheese.
Thanks Dewayne & Momma. Saw the Wrangler coffee on the counter ☕😊 That's how I make my eggs ... I put in some cream to make it creamy, but learned that some folks put in water, to make it fluffier. To each his own. Have a great week!
My wife is lactose intolerant, so I use about 1/4 cup water with 2-3 eggs. To a hot skillet add 1/4 tsp olive oil, crushed clove fresh ajo add diced onion (1/8 inch), diced bell pepper (1/4 cup), diced tomato (1/4 cup) and the broken corn chips from the bottom of the bag. Two plates of Migas.

Also microwaves give you cancer
Even when cooking always a good life lesson to be applied!
Loved watching this brother. A great message to everybody, not just young kids.
The hat threw me for a second, I'm so used to seeing your cowboy hat. But honestly, I would watch you do anything. You're videos make me so happy.
Appreciate all your teachings! And momma's too!
I love your skillet cooking. As a family we’ve cooked on campfire skillet after watching that video you did a few years back. Thank you sir.
I love this! Thank you so much for your content. I wish u were my dad. Much love from NYC🩷👋
I needed this pep talk, Sir. I needed it. Thank you.
Be ye warmed and fed.
I love it.
Thank you sir, I respect the heck out of you and you are a great man.
Even when cooking breakfast.....this legend gives solid life advice....
+1
Have a good one Dwain and thank you for the video!
It's not about the recipe but more about the lifestyle example.
Thank you Mr D for being a quiet, calm blessing to so many young men. Carry on sir! 🤠
You are the cowboy Bob Ross, painting a happy little omelette.
Or maybe it was frowning... not sure....
Haha! You are so right!
So simple, and a lot healthier, and you’ll feel a lot better about yourself, thanks!
“Pride and slave to time” Thanks Cowboy
You are a national treasure, I know you will never change.
That's a great thing.
Thanks for always being YOU.
Wholesome therapy, blessed be to you and your fam
Awesome vid. You inspired me to get back into cooking eggs again haha. An old Englishman that I used to know years ago used to do very similar to what you do here but he used to crumble in some black pudding to his omelette mixture and upon serving used to drizzle some Worcestershire sauce over it. he didn't even add salt and pepper, the black pudding and the worcestershire was the seasoning =)
As always, a joy 😊 only this time we get food looks and knowledgeable thought.❤
Congrats on reaching 1M subs to you and the Mrs.
Thank you for taking the time to show us this. It is nice to see you keep it simple and straight forward but in the way you know is the best taste. I'll have your cowboy breakfast any time sir.
You're not just a cowboy, you're also a Stoic.
This is the best channel on RUclips. I love all of your videos and I hope that you stay safe and keep making videos. It means a lot to me and everyone that watches you channel.
Priceless topic/tutorial for raisin' our young men!!!
I love this brunch looks delicious 😊
Wrap that in a warm tortilla with some salsa and you got the perfect breakfast burrito!
Always a true gentleman. 👍
