Watch all your videos with my 90 year old Mom, probably your oldest fan! She laughed at your awesome burp here! Mom will be 91 on November 6th, she has Alzheimer’s and I take care of her 🎶
We had a large coffee machine at our old school and the coffee tasted like something from the sewer, they probably needed to clean or do some adjustments to the machine but nobody used it and that coffee was NOT better than no coffee. All classes got their own coffee makers instead of using the large one in the cafeteria.
I was born in the early sixties and I remember cans having a key. I remember milk being brought in glass bottles inside a metal wire frame carrying basket that would be left on the door and you could also get cream and butter by the milkman.
About the coupon… you don’t mail it in. See at the bottom where it says “Take this Coupon to Your Grocer” Your job is to take coupon to the grocery and use it like any other coupon at check out. The grocery store’s job is to take 10 cents off your purchase, and the grocery store then sends the coupon to the address listed in Iowa to be reimbursed the 10 cents they took off your purchase. Your grocery store may not accept the coupon if that Iowa addy is no longer valid, or they may be able to find a valid address.
Another reason to love the winter months, I get to see more of these types of videos from this channel. Always both interesting and entertaining. Pumpkins gone! Brilliant.
Love the shirt! Our Kmart announced it was closing this week on October 20th. It’s the last full size one. I have to make a few more trips before it’s gone.
That coffee was made/ground back before drip coffee makers were a thing. Drip coffee makers use a finer grind than what was in those cans, so a coffee percolator would have been the type of maker used back in the day. (Coffee made with a percolator smells awesome when it’s being made! )
Hi, so I saw it had a zip code of 52732. So I checked and the USPS introduced zip codes in 1963 so I think that is from the 1960's at its oldest. Love your videos !!!
That's my zip code. There certainly is no Coke location here in Clinton anymore but I'm curious when they left. They were going to build a coke plant about 20 years ago in partnership with ADM who makes the corn syrup and carmel coloring. The deal fell through and now that whole neighborhood is just empty lots owned by ADM. I used to mow the lots when I worked for ADM.
I gotta say man, your videos can be off the wall at times but you always nail it. Even clearing culverts lol. You are unique RUclipsr and I mean that as a compliment. Cheers.
We used to buy that back in the early 1960's I had forgotten about it until your video popped up. It had a wonderful aroma and taste. Thanks for the memory 😂.
I think the company would find it so interesting to see one of the vintage coupons and might appreciate it more the a clerk in the store. But I wouldn't mail it to the address on the coupon, Google the Coca-Cola food distribution center in Texas, or give them a call first.
My mouth is watering. I LOVE coffee. I'm ordering a can of that to try. I see Coca Cola had the Butternut brand. I'll look into that. DId you fall asleep by the fire? Thanks. This was fun.☕☕🥰
Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that coffee was ground for the good old fashoned percolator type makers before the electric "ADC" type makers (automatic drip coffee makers like Mr. Coffee).
I have tried 2 vacuum sealed cans of butternut one from the 30s and the other from around 55, both were smooth and delicous - my household loves watching your videos + sharing a taste for (very) old coffee!
Nice video. The coupon is from January 1971 by the number on the coupon. J71-BNI. (Butter Nut Industries or Incorporated). The picture with the woman looks like a 70's picture
Idk why, but I love watching your content. Meaning, you simply open and taste food and yet it is entertaining. Your content is soothing and not over the top like other channels.
I'm all jacked up on antique coffee!!! Lol, it's good to know that coffee will last a long time, because when the zombies come, I'm definitely gonna need it.
I haven't watched you in so long. RUclips just didn't push your videos to me for months even though I'm subscribed. Great video! Love these. It's like an unboxing video but from a century ago.
If they are still being sold in stores, see if you can take it to a store and buy it with the coupon. Edit: If you don’t normally drink coffee and have just drank the equivalent of something like 12 8-oz cups of coffee, you’re going to be bouncing off the walls for most of the evening/night! 👀
Procter & Gamble owned Butter-Nut Coffee after acquiring it in 1989. The brand became a part of the Folgers Coffee brand. In June 2020, Folgers discontinued all production and mention of the Butternut brand.
Yes, this is KEY! Airtight and full opacity. I use containers used for storing tea because a lot of coffee containers on the market are glass or transparent plastic.
Love these “long out of date” foods videos only Post10 can make these videos so entertaining and easy to watch. Burping all the way to the end love it ❤👌
A few random comments: 1) you are probably “wired for sound” after drinking all that coffee ☕️ 2) I didn’t know there was a pumpkin spice eggnog. Might see if I can get any here. 3) your wall sign in the toilet area were interesting. 4) I bet the company would get a good laugh if you mailed in that coupon. The cost of the stamp would be 10 times at least. Maybe they’ll be generous and give you some modern coupons in return?
The original Butternut Coffee facility in Omaha had a water tower in the shape of their coffee can. It survived for decades after the company was sold.
The coupon from the sample can has a zip code after the address, so that would make it after 1963. The woman's clothes and hair on the back of the coupon look to be early to mid 70s.

They did a great job sealing those cans for the coffee to still taste good! After seeing that cool battery mug in your video, I had to check if they sold it on Amazon, and they do. I am almost tempted to order one.

I never knew Butter-Nut Coffee existed until now. Quite surprised it held up for many decades. I might have to purchase some online and let my dad try it. He loves hot coffee and tea. Not sure if he has heard of Butter-Nut either.
Love your videos look forward to them. I noticed with that old can of coffee. They filled it right to the top now like nowadays I remember the key to open spam and other things.
The Company has an interesting history and changed hands multiple times. It went through Caca Colas food division then traded hands a couple more times and ended up under Folgers. In case anyone is wondering, Coca-Cola owned Butter-Nut Coffee from 1964 to 1989.
Seems like Coca Cola owned everything back in the day... and they secretly still do
That makes the little can about 20 years younger than the big can

You're an amazing son!! She's blessed to have you!!
Thank You Sir 🎶
Thanks my friend 🎶
Bless you And your mom!
The 10 cent coupon is after 1963, it has a zip code with the address. Prior to 1963 zone codes were used.
I see that now. The big one literally has nineteen forty on it, though
The picture from back of coupon is a picture from the 60's also a giveaway
You didn’t wash the machine and run a couple cycles to clean out the yucks. 😭 we are filled with micro plastics from stuff like that.
Save the coupon with the can.
The product packaging on the coupon and the photo of tye woman dates this to the late 60s or early 70s
Id keep the cupon just because it's old and worth more then the 10 cents,
Same.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. Lol
I would rather drink burnt coffee then stale old coffee 😂

You’re definitely the best RUclipsr out there. 👏
You don't get out much.
@@lamarw7757 I don’t. I’m paralyzed from the mid chest down. That’s why my account name is “the happy quadriplegic” ☺️ 👍
Looking up "butter nut coffee vintage" gives an image of the sample-sized can; its date is given as 1970
And the coupon has a J71 on the bottom right, printed sideways. Could mean January 71 expiration or printing.
Those colors are very 70s
So glad that the old food videos are back for the month! Thank you, Post. 👍
Man! i have been missing your vlogs.Welcome back ❤
Your hair and facial hair reminds me of 1967 Ringo. I love it

Ah... So good, the sweet scent of 80 years old cured coffee.

We had some crazy winds yesterday here in Ohio. Also I love coffee and tea

My local Kmart in Montana closed down like 5 or 6 years ago and was replaced by a U-Haul center. How did yours survive for so long?

@@bartrobinson2103 I love my glass Pyrex percolator. The taste of percolated coffee is different from drip coffee, but sometime it’s just what I want.
@MichelleUS66 Absolutely I agree!!
The big can said "drip grind" though...just sayin'.
