Hi Jose…let me start by saying “thank you”, so much for your channel. Her story touches home for so many of us. She truly is doing the right thing for her life. I wish I can follow her dreams too some day. Wishing her lots of health and happiness! 🙏
Love her! Love her honesty! I'm 100% sure she touched on so so many peoples fears. The ones that are never touched on when people are trying to decide to make such a huge decisions like moving to a different country.
I can relate to her story. I tell people I moved to Mexico for my health! Less stress, less work, better quality of life. I was supposed to wait for retirement --so glad I didn't.😊
I agree! Remote work has enabled many working class Americans to take life into their own hands and move to other countries that offer a better quality of life.
Hi Lee, My Job does not work vey well being remote. At the end of the day I think that is kind of a blessing that I won't be able to work (in that way) when I make the move.
Oh my goodness I love Amy. Her house or AirBNB is beautiful. The tiny floating house is beautiful. She is a great remodeler. I apprieciate her honesty and vulnerability. I hear her loud and clear. Thank you for sharing.
Amy, thank for being vulnerable and exposing your feels re stress. I am in the exact same situation with my job as a legal secretary. We have gone from supporting 2 attorneys to supporting 7. My job is extremely stressful and overwhelming. I am planning to retire in January 2025 because I just can't continue to live like I have been.
Amy is adorable . Love her energy her paintings and her personality. I left Merida in February after two weeks stay. I would love to come visit again for three to six months. Oh yes Amy I love your floors as well. 😊
I loved this video. I just love this woman's personality! She reminds me of a best childhood friend who now lives in Athens. Yes, stress can kill. My husband took is own life almost a year ago, my father died a month later. Zoning issue with the town, legal bills pouring in. I was prescribed beta blockers to keep the waterfall of adrenaline levels under control, and I was diagnosed with "broken heart syndrome". Yes, it really is an cardiac condition caused by acute trauma/stress. In a very real way Mexico saved me. Once I decided to go for it, researching and planning consumed me and gave me a positive future goal to concentrate and work on. I realized a couple of months ago that it kept me going and offered me respite from the heartbreaking experience of repeatedly living through my husband's death . Mexico is already my friend and protector. Can't wait to board my flight tomorrow.
Hi Lowell (Amy here). Thank you for sharing what you are going through. I lived in Mexico in the early 90's and it changed me too. I love that you cling to your future in Mexico, such a warm and inviting country, as your friend. Safe flight.
I love her. I relate. Leaving the US is critical. Looking forward to meeting her. I love living next to a market. Thank you for this interview Jose. I am coming in June. I will reach out to you. ❤️🥰
I really felt that part where Amy teared up. I closed an 18 year business of being self employed and moved to Mexico. I was under tremendous stress that was 7 days a week. 365 days a year. I actually did do a 5 year plan and my husband who retired from his job and we worked together 7 days a week on my business to make and stuff away as much money as we could. Even still we had family and friends saying we were crazy for walking away from it. But, we both had numerous health problems from the stress. My main ones were insomnia, panic attacks, chronic fatigue and back pain. I had had 3 MRIs on my back with no clear answers. But, we knew if we didn’t change anything we would be dead sooner rather than later. We’re permanently in Mexico for 8 months now, and all of my health problems are history. And on top of it, I lost 30 lbs without ever setting out to do it. I believe it’s because everything is preservative and GMO free. We also, after 53 years together, feel like honeymooners. 😘 😊 I’m happy for Amy that she has a plan.
That is amazing! The Stress was killing me too back in the states and I also had no idea how much it was affecting me! I lost so much weight in Mexico as well and i actually ate more junk food here! The best decision I ever made and I can assume many other people as well was moving to Mexico! Thanks again for sharing! Viva Mexico!
Sooooooo HAPPY FOR YOU TWO!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story. It's so true, stress can kill you! Enjoy your new and well deserved life in my country!!!❤❤
WOW!!!! Jose, this is one of your all time best videos EVER!! I really love everything you do, but this is like the " Icing on the cake"!! I am over the moon for Amy! She is a visionary. She could school people like me on making a real 5 year plan! I remember starting those back in my 20's but the 5 year plan became like a 15 year plan because I didn't have the "Countdown" App. I think you really solidified what Merida offers in a whole new way, with the ART of restoration, and practical lifestyle options. GRACIAS!!!
That is awesome! Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate them and so happy that so many people are enjoying this video very mucho! She truly is awesome! Thanks again for sharing with us!
Very touching and very inspirational. As I sit here in my 50's with my stomach ulcer and my refusal to give up. Jose your videos have such great info and between yourself and Amy you just showed us all what is possible.
Hi Colleen, sorry to hear about the ulcers. Stress is such a real thing and has such an effect on our bodies. Breathe deep and allow yourself to dream, then set intentions around what inspires you. Thank you for the kind comments.
She is the best! We can all feel her raw emotion through the screen, we all have some level of anxiety similar to her from living in the US for so long. Viva Mexico!
Thank you Amy for being vulnerable with us and sharing how the stresses you face is taking it's toll on you. That right there is the very reason I am choosing to leave the US and relocate to an area that provides with a sense of ease and less stress. I'll be in Merida in February and will look this gorgeous AirBnB. Thanks to you as well Jose.
Omg I know totally how you feel about your job! I am 57 yrs old and been a nurse for 25 years and I’m so stressed and worry all the time and for me I’m just Terrified about our possible election of Trump and our democracy being ruined but our country is just so divided now. I use to have Republican friends and it use to be ok to differ in politics but now people are killing each other and I don’t feel safe anymore. I wonder if I can do some kind of easier nursing down there. I think about selling my home in California and buying in Mexico. I feel so fortunate I stumbled on your site. Thank you for such raw footage. You are such a beautiful human.
The warmth and sincerity while sharing her plan to retire was heart felt. I stumbled on Amy’s Fb sometime back and I relate to much of what she shared. And Jose, you really make informative and fun videos. I hope you guys collaborate together again. Thank you Jose & Amy.
Awww, I just want to give Amy a big hug. Your stress is understandable. I wish I could help you out. Hope to meet you someday. Best wishes to you. Stay safe and be well.
It´s the burn out of city life and work that you escape in cities like Merida or in beaches like Cancún, Cabo, Playa, Puerto Vallarta, Tulum, etc. This burn out also happens in big cities in Mexico like Mexico City (where I'm from). Personally I'm really burnt out by business, business problems (specially in an after Covid) , stress, insecurity, traffic, etc. and I'm also seeking a place with a slower life without so much stress. I'm looking into Merida or a beach.
Thank you Jose and thank you Amy for sharing your story. I'm Italian and I lived a stressful situation for years, but next February, I will move in Mexico with my wife. In the first part I'll live in Playa del Carmen and after in Merida/Progreso. I would like to meet you and Jose, for sharing our stories.
OMG what a great guest Amy was...thank her for letting us in. I so appreciate her courage and honesty and generosity to share her story. So lovely :) very touched...
If I bump into Amy in Mérida, I think I may scare her when I rush over to give her a massive bear hug ❤ Thank you both for the gift of such vulnerability ❤
Omg I relate to Amy. I am 51 yrs old and counting down to retire in Telchac, Yucatan. I left New York City in 2022 to Upstae NY to spend some time with my mother so I dont regret not spending time with her when I leave to the Yucatan…
OMG!! This was an awesome video, Jose. Amy was so gracious to let us into her homes and share her personal story. She is fierce and courageous. Right on, Gyrl!! We’re visiting again for 2 weeks around Christmas and enjoyed staying in Santiago last year. Hope to go over and take a pic in front of Amy’s house as inspiration! 😉👏🏽👍🏽🙌🏽👋🏽
I really enjoyed Amy's journey to Merida, I can relate to some of the issues she has, like caring for a parent, I also love her taste, her openness about her experiences is refreshing. Great content Jose, Thanks for this.
I was born in Merida, moved to the states when I was 11. I love my town it has everything to live a slow healthy life! I can’t move back for good but I enjoy it every time I go!
LOL! @JoseArteagaTravels, I'm glad you turned down the Volume on the "WOW"...and the "BRUH"....it's NOT as shocking to hear it while we're watching. Great video! Her home has beautiful colors! Bright and beach-y!. Love it. Amy seems very friendly.
Awesome! Thank you for letting me know! Making these videos isn't easy and especially when it looks and sounds different on every screen! Glad to hear the volume on the effects is not so jarring anymore. Saludos!
Amy!!!! You amazing! I'm thoroughly inspired now by you!!! Your story isine. Five year plan! Merida!! Yassssssss! 💕😘❤️😍👏👏👏👏. The second house is spectacular!
Thank you Brother for this gem. This lady is the real deal and she's showing me that what's going on with my rfc failure today is nothing compared to her situation. I was born in México so it's easier for me to get stuff done. I already open my bank account in Izamal in 45 minutes. Cheers from Las Vegas!!!!!
@@DestinationRetirement Hi Amy! I admire all the cool things you accomplished.👏 I am starting the purchase process for a place in Izamal. The place is a split so I plan to live on one side and keep the other rented. I will move to Yucatán, rain or shine, on January 2025. Keep up the amazing work and wish you the best.👍👍👍
Thank you so much!! I just found a great new local artist and he just finished paining a huge tango dance scene for me. Can't wait to do an update video to share with everyone.
This lady is GOALS!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The homes are truly beautiful. It is refreshing to see her hard work, hopes, and dreams come to fruition!! Stress is a killer!! Take care of yourself during this process.
Oh my gosh, Girl, ... God works in precise ways. You just told my story. I don't know that I've ever met anyone so similar, down to the actual remodeling, ... I do it all, just like the HGTV gals. I love it, and I know you do too. I'm from Seattle, UW. I was a RE agent for 22 years, I'm a single woman with no children, and I recently decided as well that the stress isn't worth it. Packed it in 1.5 years ago. I had long term rentals and sold them, can't take it anymore. It's like a boat, the best day of your life is when you buy, and the next best day, when you sell. My parents raised me in Mazatlan from 1964 to 1967 before we moved to Southern CA. My heart has always remained in Mexico. I love the culture and love Mexican values. Unfortunately, I'm looking on the Pacific, but fear as you've stated, everything is already so expensive. Gosh I would love to be friends with you as I feel we have so much in common. I'm just halfway through the video now but needed to reach out immediately. I haven't travelled in a very long time as I was holding down a RE Business I built up, rentals mostly from after the 2007 debacle. Thank you life I don't have to deal with RE anymore. Major changes are on the horizon. So, all this to say, You are pretty much my mirror. My mother is elderly in the North East and I'm making sure I'm a short kind of plane ride away. After that, I'm officially considered and Elder Orphan. I see finishing my days out in Mexico. Those fruit and veggies at the market is enough to make me want to live there. Who's more rich? The US with the Walmart product or that beautiful natural spread you showed in the beginning. I love Mexico. Please, is there a way we can stay in contact?
I love Amy’s spirit and authenticity as I listen to the replay of this powerful interview. It started out so lighthearted but it’s balanced by the realism and transparency. Jose, it’s truly a gift you have to have these kinds of interview experiences. Thanks again!
Muchas gracias! Amy really is a true gem. I really appreciate the kind words and the fact you love these interviews so much as well! Expect many more int he near future! Saludos!
We have a houseboat on Hayden Island in Portland Island. We have been watching Amy's RUclips videos and were so surprised to see her on your channel as we have been watching yours also. We also love Mexico and have 3 rentals(very small condos, only 450 square feet)and one condo 12 hundred square feet with a fabulous view of Cabo and the sea of Cortez) that we live in 5 months of the winter season. We chose Cabo because we have many options on how to make it back home. We have a straight thru flight from Portland to San Jose del Cabo only 4 hours and about a 25-mile drive from the airport. This is our 14th winter and have also driven the Baja 5 times...along with many other Americans and Canadians. In spite of what you hear, it is a safe drive as long as you don't travel after dark( cars without tail lights or maybe a cow lying on the warm asphalt to keep warm)
Wow I can relate to it, I wish I can meet her, I am from Mexico City, and a realtor in NY for 20 years, planning to retire and go back home, searching for the ideal location, Amy you are awesome! ❤
Excellent video!! I'm 47 with an 8 year plan so I LOVE hearing people's plan turn into reality. I love hearing numbers, amounts, pricing bc it's rare that people share!! She is hitting the nail on the head with her perspective. The f*cking STRESS is real and when I made my first exploratory visit to merida this past April, all I wanted to do was envision my possible retirement there. Love Amy, I've been following her channel for a while. She such an inspiration. She's the real deal and I hope to meet her once I've made my transition. But I am definitely hearing her when she said buying tomorrow's house today.
What a great energy Amy has! I love her attitude, and want to thank her for her willingness to share and to be vulnerable. We’ve never been to Merida but I have an uncle that lives there and we will visit him next March. Coincidentally, he also airbnbs his home whenever he is traveling, which is often.
I recognised at a glance Barrio de santiago (where I live)... Paired with la ermita and the San Sebastian they're the most beautiful zones of Mérida centre
Your Colonia homes are beautiful. What an asset to the preservation of Centro Merida. Excited to visit someday, as I’m looking for my retirement “sweet spot”. Thank you again Jose, for inviting Amy, cheers !!
Beautiful video. Thank you. You both are inspirational. One thing i would like to say is, i am persian Canadian and my wife is Mexican Canadian. We visit Mexico every year. This year we had three months trip all over mexico with my two young girls and my wife. From Airbnb to buses, from airplanes to taxi...you name it. Kids were on line schooling. Which was great and we had the best trip of our lives. I have to tell you guys this and i shared with many people. My 12 years old girl said to me one day when we were walking on the sidewalk im Merida. She said: dad sidewalks in canada makes us too naive and soft and dumb, sidewalks in Mexico keeps you sharp and smart, because your 6 senses have to be awake all the time. Holes, wires, ......you become very sharp . Its like living in jungle . Makes you strong. I loved what she said.
Wow that is awesome! I never thought of it that way but shes right! Maybe that is the reason they keep the streets that way, is to make sure people are always on alert and actually paying attention to what they are doing! Thanks so much for sharing!
@@JoseArteagaTravels thank you. You are right. Maybe. Sometimes something even very small can open up a huge door to our soul. Your video with Amy is a very powerful video . My daughter's say about sidewalks in Mexico reminded of myself and what I said to my father when I was 9 years old.
I rarely comment about a person's personality but what an amazing, strong, genuine lovely soul. Anyone would be lucky to be her neighbor. And we have more in common than I initially thought. Keep on sharing your light.
I followed Amy for 2 years now. So cool to see 2 people I love in one video. I can’t wait for the magical day that I get to meet her. Love everything about her! Great video. Want to see more of you 2 !!! You guys should meet Cartess Ross! Move Abroad and Thrive is his channel. He’s in Merida, Cholul now.
That is awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video! Not too Familiar with Cartess Ross, but If anyone out there is interested in Collaborating with me, they know where to find me 😅
Yes, she is totally right! It is super expensive the real estate in USA and more at California where I am living and work as realtor. Amy is very sweet, thank you Jose for such a great testimony. Blessings!👍
OMG! I feel in love with Amy and her story. I too sell real estate but in Texas over 21 years. Jim and I will be moving to Mexico in 2 years are sooner. We thought about going to Ajijic or Lake Chapala but it’s so expensive there. After watching Amy we might have to visit Merida Mexico, it’s the heat we worry about even though we’re Texans. Hope to see you both when we visit. Bob and Jim Jim has one more year of teaching to get his retirement and will be 60 years old however I’m 66 now….. wish we could move today……lol
I❤️AMY. She's FANTASTIC!!! Plus, I'm Coming To Merida (Because Of Amy) To Stay In Her AirBnb (The 2nd House) It's SO ENDEARING! Yes The 1st House Is Lovely Too, But That New One Has Stolen My Heart! AMY... GOOD LUCK With The 5-Year Plan! Definitely Will Book Your AIRBNB. Jose, Thanks So Much For This Video! See You Soon -ish In Mexico, Merida.🌺
Amy, you are doing amazing things in life. Thank you for sharing your story. I can't wait for you to move to Mexico full time and just enjoy a stress free life. 2 years baby! 🎉
Nice to "meet" you Amy. Hope we run into each other in Merida sometime. I've been here, also "accidentally", in a little town south of Merida, since 2015, AND I'm from Oregon. I even once lived in the Seattle area, and trying to feather my retirement nest here on a five year plan. I almost felt like I was looking in a mirror 😅. Good luck!
You are such a wonderful person, and yes you are so right ,here in New York we truly are suffering, I am so happy that you share with us that moment ,thank you
She’s living the American dream in Mexico. Awesome. Can’t wait to retire out there. Currently 35 and saving all my money to retire in my early 40s in Mexico .🎉
I enjoyed the "moment of reality" very much. What a sweet, honest person. I feel that reality going on in my life, though not in a high stress job. What bravery you have to take proactive steps to prolong your life.
Hi Jessica, Jose will do an update tour with me when the house is done. That video will have a link to it. Come, be my guest, I"ll spoil you with luxury and good coffee.
I love the honest, common sense approach to life. It feels good to hear someone else talk with passion about minimalism. Amy, I think you said you were barely able to get the funds to buy 66. How did you have anything left to renovate?
Hi Fitz, (Amy here). Since the house on 66 was in INAH (historic building process) it was 2 1/2 years before I could start building so I had that time to save. Also, selling my big floating house allowed me to build out the 549sf tiny house, cutting my mortgage in half and utilities. So I hard core saved money. Needing to build up the funds also gave me the push to work extra hard.
@@DestinationRetirement Ahhhh yesss. You said those things in the video about hardcore saving and downsizing but I didn't connect those to 66. What a fantastic story. Congratulations on an incredible retirement plan!
Congratulations Jose, great interview and testimony. I am from Mexico City but Realtor in CA and Baja Mexico, I was thinking that there is a great niche of opportunity for baby boomers. Thank you for show this kid of videos, inspire and are very helpful. Keep going. Have a wonderful and Blessed business! 👏🏡🥰🙌

Jose you knocked out of the park with this one Amy you are a Gem 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much!
Thank you Jeffrey! :) We had a lot of fun making this video.
This is the very best interview you have ever done...highly informative and real.
Awesome! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Mike, Amy here, thank you! We had a lot of fun making this video.
Awww, I just want to give Amy a big hug. Your stress is understandable. I wish I could help you out. Hope to meet you someday. Best wishes to you. Stay safe and be well.
Yes she is the best! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi Joy. I'm dealing in healthy ways. Thank you. :)
Great perspective and very true! Thank you so much for sharing with us! Good luck with your move!
Congratulations! Glad you enjoyed the video! Good luck with everything!
I would love to meet up. I am not sure when I'll be in Merida next. Glad to hear you have a plan for changing your situation.
OMG what a great guest Amy was...thank her for letting us in. I so appreciate her courage and honesty and generosity to share her story. So lovely :) very touched...
Absolutely!! She is the best! Thanks for sharing!
If I bump into Amy in Mérida, I think I may scare her when I rush over to give her a massive bear hug ❤
Thank you both for the gift of such vulnerability ❤
Totally do it! I'm ready. :)
That is awesome! I'm sure she'll love it!
Omg I relate to Amy. I am 51 yrs old and counting down to retire in Telchac, Yucatan. I left New York City in 2022 to Upstae NY to spend some time with my mother so I dont regret not spending time with her when I leave to the Yucatan…
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Deborah (Amy here). OMG, is my little house going to be on your vision board? Love it!
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I really enjoyed Amy's journey to Merida, I can relate to some of the issues she has, like caring for a parent, I also love her taste, her openness about her experiences is refreshing. Great content Jose, Thanks for this.
That is awesome! Glad you enjoyed it so much! Thanks for sharing!!
Hi there. Thank you so much for the thoughtful and kind comment. :)
I love Amy! I watch her channel and she has such energy and her honesty comes through the camera!
That is awesome! Yes she is great and so is her channel! Thanks for sharing!
This resonated with me! The stress and cortisol levels. I thought about going into real estate once I retire but rethinking it seriously now.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing!
I was born in Merida, moved to the states when I was 11. I love my town it has everything to live a slow healthy life! I can’t move back for good but I enjoy it every time I go!
Maybe one day you will come back for good! Thanks for sharing! Viva Merida!
Fantastic video!! Viva la MExico!!!
Thank you! Viva Mexico!
Saludos!
Thank you S. Taylor. "bruh.." :) I love that Jose is so whacky. :)

You can do it! Glad you enjoyed the video!
She a beautiful soul, and so smart! Many blessings 💕
I totally agree! She is truly awesome!
Hola Juanita! Thank you love.
That's awesome! Congratulations! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jack! Lucky you being born in MX! Do you live or are you going to live in Izamal, post Vegas life?
@@DestinationRetirement
Hi Amy! I admire all the cool things you accomplished.👏
I am starting the purchase process for a place in Izamal.
The place is a split so I plan to live on one side and keep the other rented. I will move to Yucatán, rain or shine, on January 2025.
Keep up the amazing work and wish you the best.👍👍👍
She is real 💔💔
@@lulade7653 Thank you. :)

Love love all your art work!!! Cutest house I have seen yet!
Glad you enjoyed it so much!
Thank you so much!! I just found a great new local artist and he just finished paining a huge tango dance scene for me. Can't wait to do an update video to share with everyone.
Great tour. Amy, you are a hoot! Your homes, style ambition, planning are inspiring. Those floating houses are fantastic! 😊
I totally agree! I think she is awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video!
A hoot! I love it. I use that phrase all the time. thank you.
This lady is GOALS!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 The homes are truly beautiful. It is refreshing to see her hard work, hopes, and dreams come to fruition!! Stress is a killer!! Take care of yourself during this process.
She is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I love that. I am going to hold on to that-lady is GOALS. I'm smiling even as I type this. Take care of yourself too!!!
That is so awesome! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Woman born in America 🇺🇸 the smile on her face made in Mexico 🇲🇽. Enjoy Mexico amigos
Viva Mexico!
Well said!
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing !
Hi James! That's so cool. Seems we are on the same path (but you beat me there). :)
Wow I can relate to it, I wish I can meet her, I am from Mexico City, and a realtor in NY for 20 years, planning to retire and go back home, searching for the ideal location, Amy you are awesome! ❤
That is awesome! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing!
That is awesome! Yes i agree she is a true inspiration. Glad shes showing us how everything is done on her channel too. Great stuff!
Hola Nola! you will rock that 8 year plan. Hang in there. it will happen.
What a great energy Amy has! I love her attitude, and want to thank her for her willingness to share and to be vulnerable. We’ve never been to Merida but I have an uncle that lives there and we will visit him next March. Coincidentally, he also airbnbs his home whenever he is traveling, which is often.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Fabio. How exciting your first trip to Mérida! Welcome. :)
I recognised at a glance Barrio de santiago (where I live)... Paired with la ermita and the San Sebastian they're the most beautiful zones of Mérida centre
Awesome! Yes I love El Centro too!
Especially Santiago on a Tuesday night.
Great interview, such a lovely lady. Thanks Jose!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you. :)
Another informative video by Jose. Amy's homes are very nice. That second home is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Amy seems to be a beautiful person.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi Edomnta (Amy here) Thank you so much for the kind remark.
I love her interview and story.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Robyn, thank you! :)
One of your best videos! Thank you for the guest, she’s so “real “.
Awesome! Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed Amy!
Thank you. I did try to let it all hang out per se. And boy did it. :)
Great house tour, and great episode.
I like your style of interviewing. This was very entertaining.
Awesome thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video so much!
Jose's interviews rock. We had fun making this episode.
I rarely comment about a person's personality but what an amazing, strong, genuine lovely soul. Anyone would be lucky to be her neighbor. And we have more in common than I initially thought. Keep on sharing your light.
Thank you for the kind words! Glad to hear you loved the video and Amy so much! Thanks for sharing with us!
Not too Familiar with Cartess Ross, but If anyone out there is interested in Collaborating with me, they know where to find me 😅
Hi JoJo! Thank you. :)
Yes, she is totally right! It is super expensive the real estate in USA and more at California where I am living and work as realtor. Amy is very sweet, thank you Jose for such a great testimony. Blessings!👍
Hi Isabel, then you know. Blessings back at ya. Amy
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your story Amy!!!!! Your bravery and honesty are inspiring!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing!
Bob and Jim
Jim has one more year of teaching to get his retirement and will be 60 years old however I’m 66 now….. wish we could move today……lol
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!

I feel the USA is very stressful too. The lady who was interviewed was speaking from the heart.
I totally agree, i had no idea how much stress i was actually under until i left the USA for good. Thanks for sharing!
Intimate interview, Jose. Thank you and Amy. 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
You're welcome. :)
Good luck!
NICE. Would love to meet up some day.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
One of the best videos yet Jose! 🙂
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Hi Lee. High praise indeed. Thank you! :)

Wow I like the tiles custom made!!
Good idea for my project…😊
I thought they were the most awesome thing as well! So glad she was able to show us how they were made!
Yes, homeowners are responsible for maintaining the sidewalks here! I could really relate to Amy’s comments about the stress in the US.
Thanks Den. I am finding a lot of people are relating to the stress factor.

Thank you. I thought it important to be real.
I enjoyed the "moment of reality" very much. What a sweet, honest person. I feel that reality going on in my life, though not in a high stress job. What bravery you have to take proactive steps to prolong your life.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

@@DestinationRetirement Perfect!! We come to Merida every summer and would love to ☺️
Thank you Amy. I hear you. I’m a nurse in the US and life here is very stressful. I’m living through you.
Thank you for the kind words!
I love the honest, common sense approach to life. It feels good to hear someone else talk with passion about minimalism.
Amy, I think you said you were barely able to get the funds to buy 66. How did you have anything left to renovate?
Great question! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic house , I love it .
