As for slugs being snails, it's a bit complicated because slugs are polyphyletic.
Slugs are just snails that lost their shells, which evolved independently multiple times. There are even semi-slugs that have shells, but they're too small to retract into.
So you can make a solid case for all slugs being snails. Same as all toads being frogs, but not all frogs being toads.

that depends heavily on the game and system, typical game set up has strength/skilled/magic with the rouge and ranger mixed into skilled. Also in DnD the ranger can be played as a pocket rouge.

My favorite thing is that this is low key a horror game. They’re all skin suits that you just… inhabit. Horse skin suit is best skin suit, though I also really love the body builder

As a gamer who has literally been playing for 44 years now, Jon, you never fail to put a smile on my face. Your recent livestream of Resident Evil was a bit much. Seeing you get jump-scared every now and again is cute, but I felt bad for Claire.
If Jon doesn't make an Odyssey joke with a game title like that, I riot.
I genuinely tried to come up with some form of 'nobody has blinded me' pun, but it just wouldn't work right...
The core gameplay loop of this game is SO addicting, and it's a breath of fresh air to have a PC with shapeshifter abilities that is *fun* to play! 10/10 would watch as a live stream.
Very Jon to completely ignore the tutorial bits that try to teach him to use direction locking. The mechanic that lets you kite mobs.. kinda. The very least look at the mobs while retreating until you need to change direction.
Jon: Hmmm, it says here that Slug does extra damage if the enemy has a status condition... and that its slime inflicts "Slow"... Clearly the intended status condition is the Ranger's poison!

I love the idea of this game, and it’s very fun, I just don’t like some of the challenges with the more defensive abilities, and because of the progression system, the pacing can make it tough to figure out what to do next

As a former owner of pet rats, I experienced pain everytime Jon called the Rat a mouse. Rats are not mice. Rats clean themselves like cats. Mice are filthy and don't clean themselves. Mice are objectively worse than rats. :P

Really glad I saw the video but only watched 5 minutes of it - on the understanding that MATN doesn’t advertise things he doesn’t believe in - absolutely positively fantastic as a local co op game me and my girlfriend just played 3 hours straight - not a challenging game but fun interesting and surprisingly deep. It’s not just Isaac reskinned at all, there’s a lot more to it than speed running bullet hell
John. You need to get Rat to B-tier to unlock egg. He has a self heal using mana and you can equip it to the slug.
Since Jon didn't mention it, FYI, this is on Game Pass on Xbox.

I've installed this when I saw it on gamepass but I uninstalled it without playing it to make room.... I paused this video after I found out you can be an egg and I've nearly defeated the big castle now
If this is cross platform I'm going to buy 2 extra copies for my housemates

I played the steam version a while ago. It was fun but at the time could used improvement on the controls. I played it until I unlocked every character and then kinda didn't bother anymore. Definitely a couch & pad game for later replay.
Hey Jon, wanna say your videos encouraged me to play TUNIC. I love it, and it's made me think I might need to play some zelda games.
Jon you need to play through Darkside Detective, an incredible indie puzzle/detective typa game that has great humour and Lovecraftian vibes. I highly recommend it 10/10 game

1:13 remidns me of Serious Sam 2 and the wishing well. Where you don't know, where to go, you drop a coin in the well and it very subtly (not!) points you to the right building.

I finished this game when it released on Steam and thourougly enjoyed it. I heard New game plus is really good too but I haven't gotten around to play it yet.

I played this one for hours and enjoyed it but eventually dropped it as I felt like I was just doing the same thing over and over.
Looks like an interesting game. Will have to check it out. It's also free on Xbox with the game pass, so that's a pretty big plus!

I think Jon misinterpreted the knight's ability to deal extra sharp damage below 30%. I think it meant when the enemy's health is below 30% not the player's.
Shouldn't the video also have the 'Includes Paid Promotion' flag set as well?
