Bailey Alexis Snow There was an attempt to do it around the time that Fallout 3 came out. It would've been done on the D20 system. But there was a legal battle and the company that did it ended up making a retro-style post-apocalyptic tabletop RPG, but it's based off of the 70's and doesn't have the Fallout name attached to it.

Look up Fallout PnP. It exists, and has 2 or 3 revisions I believe. It works very well.

If you're looking for a d20 (classic D&D) style Fallout game, you could also take a look at Exodus. All the other options people gave are great too, but I know my group really enjoyed playing Exodus

Great graphics, but the mouse cursor doesn't really fit the theme, and the frame rate is abysmal...
plus the graphics are just bad, I mean who does graphics this bad damn ya know....
The great thing is that there isn't a whole lot of bugs in this game especially compared to other Bethesda games

Picked this game up yesterday and now can't wait to play it as soon as possible! Very informative and fun video, thanks so much.
Maybe I haven't gotten far enough in the video where you caught the mistake, but after Claire's second kill (the one where she earned the Intelligence and then Luck perks), enemy movement had Skulls move, and you missed the skull enemy on the facedown green tile above the Tower hex
All those scenarios and no New Vegas.
So much evidence points to Bethesda being REALLY bitter by the majority of Fallout fans liking NV more
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a 'DLC' pack with more scenarios from other Fallout games, combined with additional tiles to add more randomness, and more enemy tokens.

I don't see how not including NV things shows that they are bitter. That sounds like baseless speculation or bias on your part.
It's not just the Board Game, it's a bunch of stuff. It's the fact that there are barely any references in FO4 to events that happened in NV, that they never ever mentioned NV in the build up to FO4, Todd Howard constantly talked about stuff they learned from FO3 and Skyrim, but never mentioned building on improvements made by New Vegas. And it's not because they didn't make it, because they talk about learning from games Bethesda have no part in.

The first gurps-like pen and paper RPG I played (age 11) was in a wasteland setting. Ended up with no legs, being dragged behind a car. Amazing! I can't wait for this game to come out!

Raiders are the only ones who can use tire irons, if anything that isn't a raider touches a tire iron they will violently explode
Wow the quest system is cool as hell. It seems like a really nice way of integrating a randomization and branching story lines together. And randomizing the map is a great way to add replayability. I glad I clicked on this video.

Zeb N Yeah it is. They sell New Vegas merch in the Bethesda Store, not to mention including New Vegas in the Fallout Anthology. Bethesda merch just tends to lean towards the games they actually developed.

So nice to see a set where the holes are punched properly, the copy my roommate got the exp holes got punched in the wrong spot, fortunately its in the parts that popped out for SPECIAL.
This was awesome! Both the video and game. :) I was already thinking about buying this game and now I'm gonna do it for certain. I mean, you can't get much more Fallout then: "Yep, there's a deathclaw. Better go back and level up some more before I come here."

I love the failure, just 20 minutes in, of perception in Jon's failure to notice it was *perception* and endurance.
So it has the shared hp/rads (stamina) bar from the dark souls board game, and storytelling encounters and questing from Above and Below/Near and Far. This looks awesome! Thanks for the video!

I know. New Vegas was some weird spinoff from some guys who don't even work at Bethesda. Probably best to ignore it, it was kind of fanfic anyway. Who cares about well-crafted worlds and decent writing, when you can have tons of fun shooting and explosions!

My copy of this game arrived today so I'm watching this again instead of reading the rules
Every time Jon is talking about the game he sounds like he's insulting Claire, "so you're intelligent and that's all you have going for you" "you're not very agile then"
The funny thing is, is that Fallout was originally based on a tabletop RPG system called GURPS. Due to disagreements between the devs and the owners of GURPS, the falout devs made a spinoff version of GURPS, that we now know as S.P.E.C.I.A.L. So we went full circle with a tableop game based on a computer game based on a tabletop game.
I've just added the fallout 2 soundtrack to this, playing in the background, perfect.

This game is well done. 2 solo games in, solving my rule questions and fixing my mistakes as I go. Very fun time as a solo game so far, 4 players tonight
I know this has probably been addressed already (and the video is quite old) but you don't need the SPECIAL icon indicated to use a weapon - that just means you get rerolls. You're hindering yourself significantly by misunderstanding the rules.
I think when you level up, you draw two SPECIAL tokens and only choose one. So with the LL draw, she would keep the L, put it in the tray, but NOT get a perk. Still learning this game myself.

Jon and Claire somehow manage to make watching somebody else play a board entertaining.. I feel like those kids that watch other kids play with toys. Then again it’s pretty much the same watching other people play video games. Hmm.
