Hello, MATN! I'm only few minutes in, so I don't know if it's explained, but I do have a guess about the ban on apples. The biggest importer of this fruit in Europe is Poland, and during highest tensions few years ago, Russia declared ALL imports from Poland illegal. The biggest loss of profit was observed in apple-related industry (fruits, juice, cider etc). As a reaction, there was even an unofficial campaign "Screw Putin, eat apples!". Not kidding, resulted in about 20% profit compared to previous year.

Easiest way to "win" this game is help the 'Movement' but not all of the time and blackmail everyone, loot every-time someone gets evicted (evict/report don't let them leave on their own) and steal 2 expensive items a day.

You are supposed to, the less descript a character is, the more one can relate to it. For example people will relate more to a smileyface, then a beautifuly shaded drawing because the smiley face can ve anybody but the drawing is one specific person. The same principle applies to this.

Fundamental rule of writing is that you need to be writing about the most interesting part of you character's lives, otherwise what's the point?
In fantasy, theres always a dark lord or a quest, not "everyone sat around twiddling their thumbs." In cop dramas there's always a drug gang or serial killer, not " everyone stands around issuing parking tickets." With futuristic writing, it's always dystopian not "everyone just sort of has a perfectly adequate time." 😂
Oh wow. From the hideously ugly title screen I thought that the Art looked garbage, but from the intro and gameplay it looks amazing and really suits the game. I guess that's why you need to create a good title screen.

I love when people naturally change American/British sentences. E.g during the intro it says 1st floor but Jon says ground.

Btw, Alloisius is pronounced 'a loh ISH uss/a loh ISS yuss' rather than 'a LOY syuss.' When spoken quickly, it's commonly accepted for the 'loh' to sound like 'loo.' I mean as far as I can tell anyway, we Canadians are an odd bunch for pronunciation lol but Toronto had an Archbishop with that name and I heard it all the time.

The interesting thing is that you could make a second game in this setting where it's about a crime that excact day - since then, there's little surveillance.
Also, how about remaking this with Dwarf Fortress levels of complexity?

I just want to point out that when you were choosing the tenant for apt 2, the sailor guy with what I think is a twitchy eye looked very suspicious..........congrats on making what I think is the good choice! I think, I don't know cause it's post soviet Russia!
Maybe it would actually be better to pick obviously dodgy tenants so you don't feel as guilty for blackmailing and reporting them to the ministry.
