Best 5 gears gearbox is the zf 310 from 328i or 528i. It holds the most torque. Then use arps with athena head gasket. Then you should be able of 400 to 450hp. Nice build. Waiting to see your build getting forward What kind of turbo and manifold are you going to use? Topmount or bottom?
Ok thats cool. On aliexpress etc. you can find many manifolds. They are looking quite good most of them. Gtx35 gen 2 are good. Also available there😀😀 Ill try pulsar Turbo because they have inconel exhaust turbine instead of mostly heat resistant Steel.... Depends on boost Level 😅

@@Diesel01992 actually It never came to my mind to check what kind of gearbox I have 😃 should do a little research. It's 5 speed manual in 2003 320Ci, so if you have some usefull info on that, feel free to share your knowledge. 😅
@@LubosGloznek I think yours might be a getrag 226 like mine, there rated at 226Nm hence the number, the getrag 260 hold 260Nm which is a 5 speed,the ZF 320 hold 320Nm is 6 speed and the 420G can hold 500Nm which is also a 6 speed which powered the e34 M5,e36 M3,e46 M3 but I’ve also know that the Diesel gearboxes are strong as well like ZF S6-53 gearbox can handle 600Nm, hope this helps lol

At the bottom of my bucket list for this car is a supercharger on that M54B30 and from what you've said it would be the best choice to go with the 420G from the M3 😅 what do you think about rebuilding stock open 3,38 ratio differential to LSD? I would like to know if the ratio will be good for the new output numbers, but I think LSD is a must for that power.
