- Over Christmas I purchased a classic Mercedes. A 30-hour detail to bring back it's former glory should do the trick, right?

Anyone that saves a W123 is a hero
I love this comment
They have my respect. 😊🤙
True
thank you 😂
So true!
You owe nobody an apology. That transformation was outstanding. That Benz clearly shows decades of neglect and you were able to bring her back to glory with some love. I think the results are as good as they'll ever be!! Thumbs up!
The exhaust is the glory hole
I second that emotion !!! double thumbs up !!!
Thank you for the apology.
I want to own one
@@Nobody-dm2ol classic
Love how ego free this is. Just a guy with some skills, loads of graft and a very realistic grasp on improving a cars appearance. Great work, and great video
whenever I see someone treat an old car with respect and admiration especially old Mercs, I get emotional (wipes off a tear). May you live a long and happy life.
The production quality for a channel with 3k subs is incredible. Love the w123 too, check for rust behind those chrome wheels arches
I agree, but most of the videos are so short.
That was my first thought too.
I had a 81 230E Automatic one of the best cars I ever owned.
Thanks for the kind words, David!
The stance this car has is great - love these old mercs, the suit that look
Nah....
@@johnmoruzzi7236 it looks clean AF
nah dude his stance on that hood is much better with them knees balancing on that hood edge head-diving into the bay like a Kung-Fu Fkin Panda!
@@pratikvyas9626 ahh a panda!!! now that was funny !!!!
For a guy doing this on his own.
Really well shot
Good Music
The outcome was astonishing.
Sam you put in work Legit.
Can’t believe the production quality. Awesome job!
Great job! For those born in the 80's, it's one of the childhood's cars. I'm from Bucharest Romania, and there is a lady who owns one the same color, but it's completely new and mint condition. When she drives it in weekends, it looks like she just came from the dealership.
I just spent 20 minutes watching a guy detail an old merc ... great video Sam, thanks for making it and putting the effort not only into the detailing but into the editing and music. 20 minutes well spent. keep them coming .....thank you
Give this man his own tv series. Excellent job.
Dude the final job outstanding, the model of the car and stance of the car priceless
After watching this video, I’m subscribed. Love the older Mercedes
This makes a refreshing change from all the up their own arse detailers on RUclips, good job
I resemble that remark.
Better than that super car customiser ,or car wrapper as I call him!
Can't believe how good you got this to look without paint, Credit to you.
No need for any apologies, that old Merc looks amazing, you’ve saved her 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Great job Sam, well put together video as well man. Credit to the guys & girls at HQ. As usual I love the honesty and raw passion with no BS. We don’t live in a perfect world, so it can’t always be perfect. Just got to work with what you’ve got. You didn’t hide away from refurbishing the alloys yourself, you did what we all do and broke out the rattle cans. Kudos my man on a great vid and project! Results speak for themselves, you’ve given that car a lease of life. I look forward to the rest 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Production of this video deserves an A+
I remember this model it was a common taxi everywhere in Europe. Nice job 👍
And not just in Europe, either!
Awesome effort mate and a huge amount of labour on your part. Its always hard to know when to stop as projects like these demand so much time. I loved the quality of your video, choice of music etc and look forward to seeing more of your content.
Coolest thing about the car was the Laker Airways sticker!
My first ever flight was with Freddy Laker. LOL.
I loved "It is what it is" bit😂😂
Hats off to whoever did the videoing and editing.. The Detailing was great also.. Great production. I've seen much bigger channels with nothing close to this.. Nice work Sam and team.. Subbed!
This was just awesome & inspiring! I currently have a 94 320e wagon (daily driver), that I’m fixing up, with my brother, as well as an 83 300td wagon that needs a major love. It just brings me joy to see these gorgeous vehicles restored to their glory! Thank you!!
man your camera work and editing are like a pro, better than most channels with million subs.
اى يسطا بتشكك في قدراتي . انا التوب
I wish i could do a full restoration of my father's w123 she has a lot of rust but the engine runs perfectly. BTW NICE JOB i realy like it i hope to keep this car for ever!!!!
Please do it if you can...this car is so beautiful, save it! For your father, for us 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Lovely Jubbly, I remember these Mercedes being released to the dealership, and local car shows when I was a kid, you've done this one proud.
gold is still gold and it always shines!! amazing
Liked and subbed - for me, that’s probably one of the best produced/edited, visually appealing and transformative vids I’ve seen on here. The hard work that’s gone into the car really comes through at the end - thanks for showing the process Sam and good luck with the rest!👍
Me too and completely agree with Tony Smith and everyone else who posted a positive comment.
This makes me want to buy w123! 😍
Quite literally the best Mercedes ever made, and you managed to restore its charm. Big up!
Mad respect to you for all your hands on work. The results are amazing. Subbed!
the w123 is such an underrated chassis
Get it up on a lift and you'll see these things are built like a tank.
Nope w108
1 person who loves there job and a passion for what they do to me is brilliant, I’d daily that no problem 😎🤙
Wow, this is beautiful 😍 another classic to see many years. Thank you.
Gotta love Sam probably one of the nicest blokes in the uk car scene 🙌🏽
I swear this channel will be BIG in the near future. Enjoy the vibes, story-telling, and story-boards.
Thank you Sam, excellent job, I’m very impressed by your dedication to your craft
Wow! I got to say that was an impressive transformation. Those wheels look so much better and that paint became a jewel!
This is definitly the best 20 minutes I spend this week. Great job! And outstanding production quality :D
the final result is outstanding! especially on a car with no clear coat and rust everywhere. It looks new from all angles!
That cinematography at the end is beyond 🔥
Hello, the work you did here was truly magnificent! Same goes for the video, a cinematic pleasure to watch! Best regards
There's no doubt that you're in love of your work!! Beautiful mercedes, excelent job!! 👌
Perfect interpretation of the rebirth of the old car style
Man, I didn't want this video to end. The editing and his personality and just overall was one of the best videos.
Tears from my eyes to see such a beautiful car & your amazing work.
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos and aside from the super impressive detailing, I can't believe the incredibly high quality of the camerawork and editing. Absolutely knock-out, great work! Also that Benz looked fantastic when it was squatting down low, I loved it.
Very relatable ... working with what you got and no focus on product brands. Amazing how effective technique and a little elbow grease can bring out great results! Thank you for giving this W123 some TLC!
just want to thank you my man. it was a joy watching such effort put on a car, and such great cinematography as well
Sam that’s one amazing job given the state of the car initially, totally agree with not changing parts you lose something when you start that game and it’s never ending, who cares about some swirl marks it’s age appreciation! Great video also.
Great job, end result looks amazing, loads of detailing done there!
Truly outstanding. You have a gift of knowing what to look for and the determination to restore the look of what was a great vehicle.
What a lovely team and the production quality is sick! Glad i found you guys and it seems this vid will be your brake through 👏🏼
I've got a w201 and same issues there regarding paint.... Fantastic cars though! Well worth the love
I’m actually looking at a late 70’s early 80’s model to rehab. This is the vision I had. So helpful to see in person what I could only imagine in my head. I’ve been trying to talk myself out of it......now that I’ve seen this video I’m having a change of heart .
Thanks for the rinseless wash tip in the steamer. This was a good refresher course video.
This is ART . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The best car detailing Video I’ve ever seen. No🧢 🙌🏽
That looks stunning, a testament to hours of graft and honest work, worth a sub just for this.
You have done an amazing job considering what you had to work with. I commend your dedication and commitment.Love the end result!
Ignore the naysayers and Keep up the good work Dude! You should be so proud right now!!!
Video production was out of this world. First video I’ve seen of yours but I’ve subscribed and hopefully it’s the first of many. Ps my dad used to have this in a yellow colour 👌🏽
I cannot look at this car Merc W123 without remembering about my late father. I had a blast childhood in that car and where I learn to drive also. The last memorable trip I had with him was a roadtrip around Malaysia circa 2003 - 2004 and he passed away in 2005. May Allah bless you dad. I miss u so much.
That is the most detail-oriented car detail I have ever seen! Congratulations on a job fabulously done!
Brilliant job Sam. Serious about of work for one guy. I love these old Mercs. Had three of them. Great engineering but suffered from rust. Keep up the good work.👍
Great production and cool music choices. Well done
This is an extremely satisfying video. Awesome to slowly watch the transformation of that vehicle and the production quality is incredible.
A Benz is always a Benz. A class above everything else. What a beauty. Such dedication in your work. Take a bow son.
Lovely merc
Hats off to you mate, that looked like a lot of work. End result is well worth it though. The stance on that is incredible too. Video production is amazing too. You got my sub!!
This car comes from Mercedes greatest era. Late 70's to late 80's.
All of the cars from that era were Nuclear Proof.
My 1st car in 1994, was a 1978 W123 240D, 4 speed manual. It was slow as molasses, but it got me and my mates all over Europe, on a 2 month road trip that I will remember fondly until I die. I owned that car for 3 years, bought it for 750 pounds, sold it for 1100 pounds, and had it been a LHD, I would probably still be driving it now.
It was perfectly reliable, I serviced it 5 times due to me doing over 50k miles on it in those 3 years, beyond obvious perishables like tires and brakes, no repairs needed.
I loved that car.
That's still a drastic difference! you did a great job. It looks beautiful
Now , this video is one of my favourites.!😁
Really excellent video, love the details and showing glimpses of you actually working were neat! One suggestion though if I may, it would be cool to see the car being driven at the end. Cheers!
Thank you! Definitely stay tuned for what's to come in that case 👀
GREAT WORK!! Perfect filming. Really like this restoration.
Much support from here in Denmark. Keep it up.
You are way too humble. You did an amazing job.
I admire this guy's passion, great work
first vid i've watched from this channel and oh my god.... the videography is absolutely outstanding. as is the effort put into the car!
This is the Best Mercedes where ever build.
8 others also loved your joke!
Amazing job. My first car was a ‘84 300D. 12 years and 300KM later, it still runs! If you were on this side of the pond you would definitely be seeing me. You earned a sub. Great job! 🇨🇦
Your passion for detailing cars is clear throughout the entire video, well done!!
Fantastic video with incredible production quality, I'll be sticking around for more, subscribed
Great Work for trying to save this old girl. The mot history shows she hasn’t been cherished. You’re starting to cherish her. Kudos 🦾🙏🏻
The music absolutely makes this video!
wow!!! This was a remarkable job! You certainly love your product too.
Doin' the old girl proud! She looks good in that bagged stance too 👌🏼 old mercedes are so rad.
Who was on the instagram live this afternoon 😂😂, Looks brilliant
Smashed it 🙌💪
What an amazing job and what a legend you have brought back to life impressive.
So glad I found this video … love the editing , the music and of course your work !
Awesome video. Great transformation.
Can I just say as well, whoever shot and edited this should take a bow.
Liked and subbed. Brilliant filming and edit. Who doesn't love a W123!
That transformation is incredible. Don't apologize. Fantastic job on a beautiful classic
Timeless Beauty! Magnificent job with the detail!
Fantastic job Sam 👌 even detailing the battery and tray ! Well done mate 👍
Beut video once again, if you ever need a different vehicle for a video, i have a nice Pug Gti 1.6 in black 👍 keep up the good work!
205 that is!
Saving these old timers is a pleasure
You can tell you worked so hard but you did it with all 1,000% passion and all by yourself too! Amazing.
Music is epic btw
Prefer the Indy stuff to the disco beat - so many other resto channels sound like they are in a club
@@minorityofone1510 I think a bit of Wagner might've been more appropriate!
why does this vic have 1.3k dslikes? I dont get it
