The W140 mercs are the show stoppers there. Nothing beats a billion dollar project car. Nice to see all the other classic mercs. The best or nothing.

I'm a Porsche guy and in the MB world I'm a 124 fan. That's a car park full of class.
Anything 500SEC or 560SEC with the AMG look is..... 🤯 Thug Life.

Nice Cars. I have owned 5 MB 1 a 1969 280 SEL Put 225K miles. Sometimes added 3 gallons of aviation fuel. 2- a 1980 300 diesel. Put 250K miles. Engine never needed work, but did put a new trany.. 3-a 1987 300 TE gas wagon.put 250K miles in 4 & half years . Did preventive mantanace. Never needed engine or trans work. 4- a 2003 E 500. Purchase in 2002. One of the first model with all new electronics like break by wire etc. Was at the dealership every month. After 2 years traded it for #5 a 2005 C - class 4 cylinder s in supercharged. The car was fun to drive. You are right the more you drove the older one the better they ran.
The colour on that W124 coupe is too dark for Tropical Green so my best guess is, it is Flash Green; Volvo's S60/V70 colour.

I wonder how many original efi cars with manual transmissions were there. Probably very few and far in between. Total opposite with BMW. One is a luxury car, the other a luxury sports car.

1982 W123 230TE
1996 W124 E280 Wagon.
As well as some others.

I worked in a bmw/Mercedes service in 1990-1992 these German cars were absolutely outstanding to work with, change the plugs, drain the oil, brake pads front and rear, the old 230e’s had the bmw 635csi’s absolute monsters to work with great classic cars mechanically very sound
Try now to do the same with the cars of today 🙂🙂 good luck

Theres a reason why the highest price ever paid for an automobile (143 million) is a Mercedes. The next closest was $70 million for a Ferrari. There's not one BMW, Audi, Porsche etc in the top 20 most expensive cars sold. Most Cudos to Mercedes!
Their historic motto tells the whole story.
"The best or nothing. "
I wish the followed their own advice instead of putting accountants above the engineers as we see it now.
The highest price paid for classic car was for Ferrari GTO I believe.

Great cars, only had a couple of Mercs but bought for the wrong reasons, an 84 190e drunk ebay and an ML500 7 seater for the seats. Two I would really want as keepers would be a W124 500e and a 250 c pillarless. Unfortunately already have 4 keepers and for now not allowed anymore. The car community is a brilliant place and doesn't matter what make you drive if you have something a bit unusual and love your rides we all come together.

There are tons of all those Mercedes except the pagoda and some really rare types that literally are sold for almost nothing here in California .
I saw a few W126 500SEC's in this vlog. The car looks a classic.
However, I had a Mercedes W126 500SEC 4 speed auto with low suspension and the low profile alloy wheels ( 16" lol) in 1993 and it looked stunning.
However, when you took the foot off the accelerator, the car because it was auto, basically free wheeled and with light power steering had no feed back as to what the car was doing on the road and hence in my opinion was certainly not a driver's car and would say dangerous. I went back to a manual BMW E30 325i sport.
Merc is always gonna be a cruiser compared to rivals.

Where is a guy from England who own three of 600 Mercedes, one was originally from Africa,one from Australia and one from UK.He also have more classic Mercedes,blonde guy,seams he is popular in UK.
I like that w116 6.9 it is rear engine in that about half million w116 ever produced cars of that particular model, also w108 is a great and 250 as well .But personally I like when they stay original.
