I'm a British expat living in the Philippines, fishing is my hobby since a kid going with my father. I love this channel, reminds me of England. We fish here mainly for red snapper and yellow fins, I miss fishing in the UK waters. Nice channel John.

The time you actually spent fishing is pretty negligible! But, all the hard work has paid off because the finished product is amazing. Also, I can't quite get over how blue those sharks actually are! John that was a great video mate , really enjoyed it , was there a chance of a porbeagle swimming around with them blues or would the blues swim off away from the porbeagle? That big Female blue I'm assuming it was a female, was a beast well done for showing us because most people wouldn't chance bringing a fish that size in a small boat like yours alone . Brilliant sir, really appreciate how you so obviously care and respect the fish that you catch.
Thank you very much Malcolm and have a wonderful day.
Great footage as always really informative would love to give it a go myself some day 👍👍
You should! Thanks for watching James
john that was fantastic chap . very nicely done and great tips , take care john
- Thanks Tony, glad you enjoyed it. 😊👍🏻🦈
Top man, Great film as always 👍🎣✌️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
What a fantastic ambassador for fishing you are. I noted you had a life jacket on but I do think you would be better going out with a mate. Great video work.
I do occasionally fish with other people, but don't like having to rely on folks being places on time. Haha
love watching your videos!
- I am glad to hear that. Thank you very much. 😊👍🏻🦈
Well done planning and skill make all the difference, you are certainly a good fisherman
Thank you very much Steve, good planning and prep definitely make the difference. 😊
Loved the underwater shots, thanks for that!
I was thinking how you must have nerves of steel and then I thought about Mrs Fishlocker
Friend: So whats John doing today?
Hannah: oh, he’s fishing. In his small boat. For sharks. Totally alone....
Hannah - real nerves of steel!!
I've aged her terribly!!
Watching you work having had the the information imparted to us and then the running commentary as consolidation.... what an education!! Thank you once more John. (On a spinning rod!!! Only you John! Only you.)
- I certainly put that white rod to the test didn't I. Take care Mike. 😊
the movie JAWS was on my mind when he put the gloves on for the second shark....i sat up so fast and got real close to the screen
- Haha. It was a better one wasn't it. Ive had them well over 100lb before on charters. Not had a proper monster on my boat yet.
those sounds of the reels ..made me remember the tv programme " screaming reels " back in the 90,s..great video again john ..thanks..
- I don't think I know that programme Bob. But glad you enjoyed the video.
@@TheFishLocker yeah was a while ago john ..channel 4 ..heres a clip .. ruclips.net/video/RODub1zcGOw/видео.html
cheers
Would love a shark fishing trip with you... great knowledge, can nothing but learn from you👌🏻
- Thanks Greg. I really hope the video not only helps folks out but puts emphasis on the safe way to do this for both the angler and the sharks. 👍🏻
@@TheFishLocker You didn’t reply to him about the shark fishing trip, would you go on one with him? Let me know if you guys are keen I can organise itinerary, licensed to drive bus, can book hotel etc etc
Thoroughly enjoyed this week’s masterclass. Thanks
- Thank you Kevin it is my pleasure. 😊👍🏻🦈
Best ever! I was with you all the way fighting every inch. I wanted to get on board and get the other gear out the way . Cheers
- It would have been handy if you had been mate!
I really enjoy your channel and content. I am a fresh water man on the great lakes and I have to say that you have one sweet little fishing boat.
- Thank you. I have been doing my best to show people that you don't need some massive expensive boat to enjoy great fishing. Mines a 16ft Orkney. 👍
Hello, it has been a while since my last visit. Never disappoint, I always enjoy your upload and learn a few things. Have a wonderful day💖💖
- Welcome back.😊 I am glad that you enjoyed the video 👍🏻🦈
Well done John really enjoyed that. Maybe the best UK shark video I have watched and I have seen a few. Very well filmed (solo) and very informative. One species I have never fished for ....... must try and alter that at some point.
- Thank you very much Paul. There are a few good videos around, most by TA Fishing - I prefer his older ones. I did try a few different camera angles to try and give folks something new. I really hope the video not only helps folks out but puts emphasis on the safe way to do this for both the angler and the sharks. 👍
@@TheFishLocker I watch all of Graemes videos and yes there very good for sure. I tend to agree about the older ones too, he's not a young man any more bless him. This one though I still say tops the lot. Stay well John all the best to the family.
So well done John great video mate 👍👍
- Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video. Aye you do get Porgies mixed in with the blues sometimes. Porgies are usually more of an inshore shark though. Take care mate, give our love to the family and tight lines. 👍🏻
i love the care you take with the fish. i have not fished in years but i went to a canal the last 3 days just chilling by the bank
- Thank you. I am glad that you share our philosophy on caring for what we catch.
1:00 Now that's just ridiculous. You drop the line in the water and you pull it out with 4 mackerel on it 5 seconds later.
- Haha.
Great trip for you, some nice tips too.Love the wrist/under water footage too,and the new haircut !!
- Glad you enjoyed it mate. I was just trying to give folks something new. I really hope the video not only helps folks out but puts emphasis on the safe way to do this for both the angler and the sharks. 👍
@@TheFishLocker That's one thing in particular I like about all your vids, there are always loads of great tips and info.Get back out there while the sun is shining !! Hope Mrs and Junior FL are keeping safe and well too.

Oh man, dont get me started. My number one movie of all time. "This aint going

Ok, thats it. Im watching it for the 4 hundreth time. LOL.

It’s an absolute classic film.
This is my favourite scene and will go down as ‘one of the best’ speeches in cinema history.

I don't give two hoots about shark fishing, but I certainly enjoyed this video. I love how you explained the process from chum to hook to catch and release and all the various tools you used.
10 of 10, sir. Salute to you from a trout stream fisherman from across the pond.
Subbed, too.
- Thats awesome. I am really pleased that you enjoyed the video - even though as you say it is not your interest. I hope that the videos are well rounded enough that that is the case. It’s been a good few years since I lifted a brownie out of the river. Stunning fishing, I can see why you enjoy it. 😊🎣🐟
@@TheFishLocker You have an excellent channel, man. Be safe out there. The great thing about trout fishing is that if you're in the water with them, they can't eat you...
I love how u let them go when needed
- I really hope the video not only helps folks out but puts emphasis on the safe way to do this for both the angler and the sharks. 👍
Yet another excellent video very informative as usual and a very successful trip with so many sharks caught.
- Thank you very much Drew. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Take care mate. 👍
Love the video, I'm in Falmouth in September and have two days on Anglo Dawn sharking, weather permitting........can't wait....
- Perfect. If anyone in Falmouth will put you on the fish its Andy. 😊👍🏻
