I've been lucky enough to fish for sharks in the uk, Florida and Texas. Nothing beats drifting on a boat waiting for a run. When I was in Texas we would fish for them on the beach, trust me it put me off swimming in the sea. Some of those fish gave you a good workout John. Great angling again

I was having a think and you must spend absolutely hours prepping the tackle, the boat, the cameras, finding the areas, planning the trip taking into account the tides etc. Then editing the footage which I know can take ages. The time you actually spent fishing is pretty negligible! But, all the hard work has paid off because the finished product is amazing. Also, I can't quite get over how blue those sharks actually are! Looking forward to going out on the Anglo Dawn next Wednesday!
- You have not idea mate. Literally days go into a video like this. And yet we still get people who complain about having to watch a 30 seconds advert!! Haha. 😊

Hi John, and thank you for another splendid video, 'Out on the Boat'. Belated Birthday wishes to young James, Fish Locker Jr, sorry I had no idea his Birthday was approaching. Some great footage of a wonderful day's sharking, and I especially liked the underwater filming of the release at the end. Many thanks for the upload and editing, plus all of the work that goes into each episode. Best wishes as always from Surrey. ;🐬🎣🍺

John that was a great video mate , really enjoyed it , was there a chance of a porbeagle swimming around with them blues or would the blues swim off away from the porbeagle? That big Female blue I'm assuming it was a female, was a beast well done for showing us because most people wouldn't chance bringing a fish that size in a small boat like yours alone . - Thank you, it was just an experiment to try and give you guys something new.
Yet another excellent video very informative as usual and a very successful trip with so many sharks caught.
- Thank you very much Drew. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Take care mate. 👍
Great footage as always really informative would love to give it a go myself some day 👍👍
You should! Thanks for watching James
Very cool shark fishing John. Excellent. Thank you for the video my friend.
- Anytime Brian. It is my pleasure. 😊👍🏻🦈
Loved the underwater shots, thanks for that!
I was thinking how you must have nerves of steel and then I thought about Mrs Fishlocker
Friend: So whats John doing today?
Hannah: oh, he’s fishing. In his small boat. For sharks. Totally alone....
Hannah - real nerves of steel!!
I've aged her terribly!!
Love it when you you are so excited about your catch and trying not to show it. Great trip, with lots of sharks. Keep em coming.
- Haha. No-one likes folks hollering and whooping all over the place.
I love how u let them go when needed
- I really hope the video not only helps folks out but puts emphasis on the safe way to do this for both the angler and the sharks. 👍
I love how you take your time to explain and to show to us what are you doing. It is relaxing and it gives knowledge.
- It is my pleasure. 😊👍🏻🦈
So well done John great video mate 👍👍
- Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video. Aye you do get Porgies mixed in with the blues sometimes. Porgies are usually more of an inshore shark though. Take care mate, give our love to the family and tight lines. 👍🏻
Quite incredible fishing, I don't think I have seen anything like that. Your knowledge and skill are amazing! Its most entertaining and educational, so thank you.
Thank you very much Roger, I do love my fishing. If this is your type of video then we have a few more that you are really going to enjoy. Take care mate and welcome to the channel. 😊
this is the best content on youtube thank you
- Thank you Karolina, we are simply sharing what we know and love doing. Simple, honest and original content. 😊
Couldnt have put this out at a better time. Just been asked to go out on 2 sharking trips in the next 2 weeks and this is getting the blood going for them now. Well done on the great catch
How exciting!! Let us know how you get on, where are you heading?
@@TheFishLocker West Cork and Galway bay so should be a good day. West cork trip may include some skate too if we get sick of sharking
the movie JAWS was on my mind when he put the gloves on for the second shark....i sat up so fast and got real close to the screen
- Haha. It was a better one wasn't it. Ive had them well over 100lb before on charters. Not had a proper monster on my boat yet.
I love watching the videos , keep them coming . Brilliant stuff . Well done 👍
