- Sea fishing on the Cornwall coast can offer some wonderful species to catch if you adapt what you are doing. We have been away travelling for a few weeks so this is the first time out on the boat for a while. I follow a hunch and try fishing an area of banks that yields some amazing rewards!!!

Watching you catch those rays reminded me of two different occasions when I caught two huge female southern sting rays each a couple hundred pounds.
The first was about 30 years ago while fishing on a large party boat.When it surfaced there were lots of Cobia swimming with it.Needless to say about 10 people caught a nice Cobia while I was stuck holding it on top of the water until it could be unhooked.
The second was about 10 years ago while commercial rod and reel fishing.

Just had a nice week down by where your boat is, been lovely, did a 9-mile coastal walk to the ferry boat inn, and got a lift back by a local on the boat to Meanporth beach! Some locals thought we were immigrants at the time, quite funny! Kept a look out for you out and about on the shores. Hope all is well

Had a great day out of Littlehampton last week steamed 6/7 miles mackerel bait bashing on the way a tub full In a matter of minutes ,the days catch was fantastic, loads of dogs,more mackerel good size ,a few small Ray's, a 15 pound ray , 50 pound conger eel,smooth hound ,red Gurnard, several tope,bass, scads, and unusually Whiting. A great days sport, all returned except a few dog's and loads of mackerel .tight lines love your videos very informative.

“A bar of soap with pins in it” so accurate.As a youngster I caught small Bass in and around st Johns Lake in the Tamar by the bucket full.The best tool I had for holding bass was an old bar towel. Looks like your new boat in this vid? I was out fishing with a mate discussing your videos, he said there must be lots of foreign tourists Admiring your Cornish accent.It was mentioned in good taste and did make me 😂

Those Dolphins! Years ago my late husband and young son were around Tampa area USA on a charter, similar to your recent fabulous one, this hum "guaranteed" sight of Dolphins, A massive sudden storm on our heals the skipper kept shouting out, no you've just missed them, they were/are front/back/port/starboard after everyone had just moved, needless to say we saw none, should have gone to Cornwall! Fantastic ray, glad your home safe, wonderful content again.

What a great video, your description of the bite with a ray put me in mind of the amazing beach fishing in County Kerry where there would be an initial knock followed by a slow bend of the rod as it took off. Some huge rays to be caught and I actually had a Stingray of the beach
The beaches around there have an amazing diversity of ray species. A friend of mine Chris O’Sullivan fishes that area and the fish he lands is amazing.

This guy is so chill for some reason. I love this dude. Bro if you ever wanna come fishing in Sweden for some giant zander or pike we can go on a lake , loan a boat for 8 hours and give it a go.
I would really love the chance to catch some big Zander. A friend of mine worked in Sweden for a stretch and did some Pike fishing. He said they do fight much harder than ours for their size.
@@TheFishLocker Yea, they are quite big overhere. I do Pike fishing with soft plastics only but the lake has Zander aswell.

Absolute love it and your elation at catching the PB blonde ray was brill..well done nice to see that even an angler of your skill and big fish catching etc can still break his personal best catch record..that’s why angling is so good you never know..I remember fishing off the flight deck of a frigate in gib my mate hooked a surprise octopus which wrapped itself around the face of the Chinese laundryman..you never know what your gonna get 😂😂
