  • The Hisense U7H doesn't have a mini-LED backlight system and doesn't get nearly as bright as the U8H. It's also marginally less expensive than the U8H. And yet, this TV gets so much right, that it might be the better choice for a lot of TV shoppers.

Great video as always sir. I'm not super surprised that it's stacking up to the U8H. Last year's 7 and 8 models were pretty close. So this years are even closer and next years will be too as tech keeps growing. Would the 75" be similar as well? 🤔If not, what would you recommend? Need a TV for my basement and was waiting for the new ones to make a decision.

Hey Mr.Denison great video as always been really enjoying this channel since getting my 65" Hisense U7G a couple weeks ago. I'm liking it so much I'm considering getting another 55" varient for my bedroom. My question tho is which is a better TV the U7G or this this U7H when it comes to price they are pretty close right now the U7G is a bit cheaper but I could go either way so just trying to decide which I should go with. Maybe can you do a side by side comparison video of both sets.

Hi Caleb, did you end up comparing the colour errors between the u8h and the u7h? I am looking at either the u8h or u7h as a main tv in our basement rec room. We mainly watch movies, series tv an a LOT of sports. I have not seen either of these tv’s side-by-side, but leaning towards the u8h for the added colour “pop”. Im liking what I've seen so far from them. I wish Hisense would come out with a Sound bar that really reflects their TV. Thanks

    • @ShadowDeus
      @ShadowDeus Год назад

Why not just get a blutooth surround sound set up? most come with a front sound bar.
I actually use a bluetooth headset with mine.
Feels more natural too, mainly with voice searching... with out a headset i just feel weird talking into my remote.
Plus my headset tends to hear me better and for the most part actually types what i say... the remotes mic is kinda dinky and you gotta be eating your remote for it to pick you up... understanding you is another story lol.
Also the model i have has pretty good speakers built in... they just suck at low volumes for some reason, bass seems like it doesnt start drawing out until you hit a pretty decent volume, even after messing with the system EQ.
Now if you do go with a headset or headphones... I use my Razer Barracudas with mine.
they came with an app that helps quickly switch between all my bluetooth devices and the 2.4hrz dongle thats hooked to my PS4.
These things even have its own EQ built into the app, a pretty solid one too.
Definitly beats having to download different EQs for every device you have and then messing with them all.
Much easier just having 1 to deal with now.
Plus it makes it easier when you connect to a friend who likes twangy high pitch music, you dont have to mess with any of their EQ setting (if any).
Oh and some headsets can use 3D audio devices, basically its a dongle that your headset will bypass through giving you emmersive sound, basically true surround sound for headsets.

I got the U7H a few weeks ago for $750 plus there is a $100 rebate if you keep it for 100 days vs the U8H for $999 and a rebate. I don't know if the U8H is worth the ~38% more money, but after seeing a few reviews, it doesn’t seem like it. When people ask what tv it is, they are surprised it’s a Hisense. My room isn't very bright, so I had to turn down the brightness to 85/100. I haven’t noticed a shimmer when watching 4k HDR, however, I use a fire stick 4k max for media streaming. Overall, excellent TV.

Thank you for this video. I just recently purchased the 55" U7H at Costco for $469. I think it's one of the best bangs for your buck. You mentioned shimmering and the motion smoothing is, well, tolerable. Not what I was hoping for. But, considering the price point, I can live with a few quirks. My questions to you or any other individual reading this, what are the best settings in all areas of control, and where to get info without having to pay for the services of a professional? Is it necessary to have the set calibrated? I've searched here on YouTune, but have come up short. Thank you again. Great video.

If you got a warranty, you should be OK. Now, as for the Picture? There are some vids you can find & see their settings. I have the Roku version & it's just dark watching in a small dark room. Nothing I can change really because with Roku? It sets itself automatically, basically. Warranty? I've had 2 in the family & both lasted around 2 to 3yrs Max! Then the backlighting starts going out. This is from just setting the TV up new & never moving it, then keeping it clean with TV cleaner. I think if you can locate a professional calibration guy at a good cost? Get it calibrated. I went to Best Buy & looked at they're TV's & they were beautiful! Same TV I have at home but with calibration? Omg! They looked like $6k TV's!!

U8H has great dimming and shadow detail that brings it close to OLED in how well it can do specular highlights in middle of dark surroundings. Look at Quantum and Stop the FOMO for side by side tests.

The Best buy manager said they might get some for XMas "Chip shortage". Is that a thing? I will wait for Xmas, it is at $1499 now (hopefully drop more in Dec) and the U7H in stock is at $949.99. That being said/written...Thank you for making this particular video. The 75 inch Sony Bravia XR X90K is also at $1499 but the Hisense was rated better, hence the waiting. Would you go for the Sony X90K? The U7H? or wait for UH8? is the U7H 75inch better then the Sony 75inch at $550 less? I am leaning towards the U7H. SUGGESTIONS/ADVICE? My wife has Graves disease, which makes her eyes especially sensitive. She complained that the white icons on the Roku stick for RUclips, etc. were too bright. She has all kinds of vision issues that can't be fully corrected even with her custom, extra-strong contact lenses.

Looking for feedback. He said that without any motion smoothing on, the U7H doesn't look as "smooth and natural" as the TCL 6 series. As someone who never uses motion smoothing when watching shows (can't stand the "soap opera" effect), what can I expect? If I'm never planning to use motion smoothing, am I better off purchasing the TCL 6 series? I like the price point of the U7H (55" model), but wanna make sure I'm making the right choice.

I have the 2020 65" H9G and this seems to be the first "WOW" factor Hisense that put them on the map. I am now considering a slightly larger 75" and the similar 1000 nits brightness U7H almost seems similar to the H9G but with less dimming zones. Had the 2020 H9G been offered in 75" I would have bought it instead of the 65".

I think d H9G is U7H ! It has same gut they just relaunched it !
My husband says Intell does it too with their Flagship Chips . Evey a few months they re Label d chip to new name n just sell it as mark down 1 tier down . Cuz it’s waste to let go a Very good product .
      U7H is literally H9G 😮! I have H9G in 55” ! I love my tv

hi Caleb! would it be possible to do a comparison of the 65in. U7H and the 75in. U7H please? I understand that the 75in. panel is an IPS so I was wondering if the pro of the bigger screen is bigger than the cons that an IPS may be such as reduced black levels.

Caleb you should really make a video why Hisense and TCL give bad models to rest of the world for way higher price. You are youtuber(that makes videos about tvs) with biggest number of subscribers and i think that your subscribers around the world deserve that kind of video from you. You have at least 200k subscribers outside of US and all of us want to know why chinese brands treat us like sheep. It's a simple thing for you...few phone/skype/zoom calls to get all informations and there is another video for you and explanation for us. 🙏
