    Hi Tech Steve, I've been really watching your videos, and you really put in tremendous effort to archive these wonderful comparisons.
    After watching your videos, I wanted to get the U8H here in nigeria, but it was out of stock in Hisense showrooms around my location and on the Hisense online store as well. So I decided to go with the U7H, which was just added 5 days ago on Hisense online store @ $997 for the 65" model. The U8H was sold @ $1,270 before it went out of stock. I've already ordered the U7H 65", and I hope to enjoy it when it arrives. Thanks for all you do, man🙏🙏 .

      @godiananyanwu5894 Год назад +1

      @Tech Steve Yes, I hear that too, but for us here in nigeria, I think the model might be the same as the US model. The U7H here is a VA Panel, has full array local dimming, HDR10 & 10+, Dolby vision atmos, Has 120hz Native Panel, Game mode pro. But I'm not sure if it's a Vidaa or Google TV. I hope the VA Panel represents what's been said on paper because from what I've seen, I understand IPS has more colour and better viewing Angle in real tests. Well, I'll sure update you on my thoughts when it arrives.

I remember my jaw dropped upon turning it on. Pitch black no blooming.
      Are u in UK? If u are looking for UK model. I don’t think u can get the same VA panels for U7H or U8H this year. The UK panel were ADS Panels. Still good, but the new 2023 is like major upgrade. that they have in US (d VA ones are like crisp 3D.) yeah if u need a panel despritely like yr tv gave out. I would purchase the U7H if it has the size I prefer. Why? As you said it $200.00 cheaper and out of the box I don’t have to fiddle with the presets to get a more natural looking picture. I feel like Hisense has hyped the saturation of preset colours and brightness to catch the eye of the impulse buyer who is often attracted to bright and colourful objects - just look at the types of things that clog our stores at Christmas - bright blues reds gold silvers and greens that glitter and shine - on clothing and boots and glassware - everything. But if that brightness and saturation is the only difference and I’m going to immediately or eventually (after Christmas) - tone it down - why would I pay $200.00 for it. Seems like a no brainer.

    I had the LG 65” 85 Series mini-LED and I returned it due to very noticeable blooming. Also the software was slow and kept disconnecting from Wi-Fi. I just wasn’t happy for the $.
    I planned on getting a non-mini-LED. After doing more research on TCL and Hisense, I was second guessing.
    After seeing the reviews on Hisense and Best Buy deals on a U8H, I pulled the trigger! However, I went with the 55” because I felt the 65” was giving me headaches and causing too much head and neck movements to watch movies. I am viewing from 10 feet away. I am not a gamer, just a regular tv and movie person.

    Hey Tech Steve you spoke to my heart. I have the 55U7HQ in Germany and I bought it for 600€ in Dec. Actually I bought it because of the AV adaptability for my Nintendo 64. Unfortunately the Cinch cable wasn’t included in the unit. I bought one but it didn’t work. I also called the Hisense shop and a Technician mentioned that perhaps the AV connection wasn’t open. One even came to check it out and found no electricity going to the AV connection. Without the right AV cable the TV doesn’t play the console. I have the opportunity of getting a new TV, my Chips back, or buying something else. I love the TV but must either invest 70€ for an “adapter”, get an HDMI adaptable console, or buy the U8HQ. The U8 costs 300€ more but the differences are minimal. Also I have no use for the 60HZ in this U7. I would appreciate hearing your opinion. Thanks for the video’s.

    • @eefm99
      @eefm99 Год назад +1

      It indeed depends on the source. At least for Netflix, it tells you if it is HD or 4K, or if it has Dolby Vision. If content is Dolby, when you click the menu button and go to Picture, you'll see that Dolby settings are now applied, it literally says Dolby instead of Filmmaker Mode/Standard/Game/etc.
      I've also tried plugging an HDD via the USB 3.0 port and I was surprised to see that the content was 120Hz, at least if you use the default app. When I used VLC or a 3rd party File Manager the content was 60Hz, although I'm not sure if Picture settings had anything to do with that, could be the case.
