I don’t know if could do a comparison to an LG C3, but def think that would be interesting - until the C3 sells out, that is. Now, who wants to see this do battle with the 2024 QM8??!! Let me know!

I really appreciate the inclusion of actual data in reviews. Watched some guy talking about the u8n on RUclips last week ... dude had no clue what he was talking about Thanks for keeping it professional
Purchased a 55” U8H 18 months ago (for $650, delivered) based on your recommendation and we have been really happy with it. For that price it was fantastic value.
@@Noname-iq1gz I have the U8K and the black levels are stupid good, it looks VERY close to my OLED somehow. I think OLED's are going to go away and I have an G3.
Your review looks great on my U8H and my U6K. I have had zero issues with either set. I'm a senior on a fixed income and these tvs def fit into my budget for a main living room set and my man cave baseball game viewing. Thanks Caleb.
Caleb, thanks for the very informative coverage of Hisense's new 2024 U8N QD MiniLED TV! I'm putting this video on our UN8 webpage and sharing it on A/V user forums and Facebook!!
Hi value electronics, I currently have a 75” Sony Z9D from 2017, but I want to upgrade to an 85” TV. Do you think this 85” Hisense U8N will be somehow at the same level once Hisense releases the 85” version or should I wait for the Bravia 7 or Bravia 9? Thanks in advance for replying!
@@lpromer4796 Sony's Z9D was a very nice TV. Yes, you would love Hisense's new 2024 85" U8N, but if your budget permits Sony's new Flagship 85" BRAVIA 9 would be the very best upgrade choice. The 85" BRAVIA 7, which is $2,000 lower cost would be a very nice choice.
please do not water down your reviews by kicking detailed data to theoretical future videos. If I want a generic overview or review I'll read a press release or watch one of the other less detailed reviewers on youtube. You gained viewers because you're one of the best... I know it doesn't fit the profit model or algorithm, but quality over quantity... I hope you truly reflect on these comments before making your decisions. I know how much time and effort it takes to really test and dive into the data, but it's important for the enthusiast that watch your videos for fun or for buying decisions. Cheers.
WORD!!! , may be by adding a "Nerd-Only section" to his videos .. people are smart enough to stay or skip the section and you have the best of both worlds
I can probably see what you mean. Not because of any induced reason, I too watch this channel just for diversion, and their top notch presentation (both audio and video). It's relaxing.
I am considering buying a U8N or an LG C4. The current price difference is about $500. Based on the reviews and my observation at Best Buy, I would go for the U8N, but I am concerned about reliability. Is Hisense's reliability on par with LG's?
I used to own a high-end audio/video store and sold the first 40" Pioneer Elite plasma TV for $20k. My Pioneer Elite 61" rear-projection TV was $6.5k. My Sharp LCD front projector was $8k. Now we can buy an awesome 65" 4k flat screen TV for about $1k. Life is good!
You’re talking about elites vs the vast majority of Americans. The point is still the same after all these years. Dropping 1k on a tv, despite the size of name brand is out of reach for the vast majority.
Hey Caleb! Love the review! I have just a small suggestion. Could you include a "reflection handling" section to the reviews? Its a big factor in decision making for consumers.
It's encouraging to hear that Hisense is producing an LCD TV with near-OLED performance. (I might wish for better wide-angle viewing characteristics, but I realize that no TV is perfect.) I'm just glad that Hisense includes a 55" model in the U8N series. There has been an unfortunate trend by TV manufacturers to sell their best TVs only in larger sizes. Many of us who appreciate excellent picture quality don't have the wall space to accommodate big TVs.
I just bought this TV a week ago. Love the reviews. I think the TV is awesome. I was worried about the off angle a bit but in actual layout of my apartment. The view is great. Love the tv.
The PQ of this one noticeably surpasses the previous one ( you asked, 8K topic). That one now looks duller compared to this one (more contrasty but in a good way). The sound is great too. The bass in the music is awesome. Way to go (two thumbs up). 80% of the reason I watch this channel is to get myself reminded how good my TV is ( or can be),
Just bought the 2024 U8N 65" Hisense, beautiful picture... I bought the LG oled C4 evo, had it for 3 days and return returned it did not think the picture quality was worth the price.. The U8N has a much better picture then the LG. I have an LG 2021 C1 48" that I use as a Monitor and gaming. I could not tell much difference between the C1 and C4, but there is a big difference in picture quality with theU8N. Thanks for reviewing Hisense U8N you convinced me to buy one... Thanks Doug
I agree that Hisense processing is not what it should be and should be improving . The brightness and color palette is better but I feel that the processing is a takeaway, Caleb. I am glad to see more competition in the television arena via OLED, miniLED, or QDEL. THANK YOU forthe fine presentation.
I must say as someone who works with TVs all day and got a sneak peak into the new Hisense range that the processing is now much better than before the process is now touching areas it didn’t before like word clarity making sure words on screen are not pixilated and many others
Give them a few more years and their processing will be up there among the best TV brands. I just got my U7K, and yes, picture processing is slightly a let down compared to Sony's, but not a dealbreaker. Very happy with my unit after some calibration. I'd imagine the next time I'm upgrading to the newer gen Hisense TV (provided this unit holds up well for a good number of years and I am a happy customer) they would have been a top tier brand already.
My U8k processing is pretty great. It upscales sdr/hdr really well, better than my LG C1 & C9. Movies and Sports look amazing. Dolby vision looks good also.
U8N or Sony X90L? Which is better for TV/Streaming/Movie watching? Both can be found for about the same price at the moment. Deciding which 85in TV to purchase.
I loved the U8k that I gave my dad. There will be many big upgrades over the next few years - so I'd use this one out and marvel at how substanstancial the advancement that the U8S or whatever brings down the road. Make the upgrades really count and spend less.
Hi Digital Trends, I have a question about which is a better choice. I am getting a 65-inch Hisense U8N and a Sony Bravia 7 at a similar price. I personally don't need a very bright TV. I will mostly be using it for streaming services and once in a while for Sports. Is Sony's image processing so good that I should switch to Bravia 7? Thanks in advance.
I have a u8h and love it. Always get compliments on the clarity of the tv. Only downside is sides i have are 1) the studder/jidder that happens in low frames and 2) only one earc/arc hdmi port. U8n looks promising
I'm debating between the TCL QM7 55-inch model and the Hisense U8N TV 55-inch model. This will be an ancillary TV (not my main one), to be used mainly for occasional XBox Series X use and streaming. Most of the viewing would be straight on, but it's possible occasional viewing will be at a slight angle. Which would you recommend?
What percentage of people, even those that do their research are really concerned with absolute accuracy? My guess is very few. Most people want a bright and colorful picture without going too far like vivid mode introduces.
So my friend just bought the 65" U8N on Saturday at BB His reaction once he turned it on to a YT 4K demo , unadjusted ? OMG OMG !!! The colors were uber vibrant without saturating or blooming and ultra sharp . Blacks were the best he's seen vis a vis the color palette and he has a C2 . Brightness was beyond compare , we adjusted the brightness while looking at other sources . Warm 1 and Cool looked amazing with different sources . He loves the brightness while it maintains the mesmerizing hues and detail . SDR looks fresh while HDR needs adjusting but looks outstanding once you make the fine adjustments . The built in speakers and subwoofer are soundbar quality and approach a good $250-400 system . It plays LOUD and surprisingly clean (TV was wall mounted) . But if you play it too loud for too long with lots of explosions etc , it may clip . Solution ? Turn it off for 20 seconds , the amp will reset and it's clipping noise will disappear . Simple fix for this or any amp . You are getting a Porsche so take care to know your U8N and make the necessary adjustments . Your experience will be an eye opener and garner the requisite , beyond belief reactions . Welcome to Mini LED and the 'new' universe .
Will you be making a video for U7N? Also , are these tvs dual voltage as i keep moving between EU and US for my work. Want to invest into this tv after watching all your videos.
I bought the 65xU8N from Best buy over memorial day for $1099, $400 off sale. Very pleased with it. Replaced my Sony 65x950G. Great upgrade and even makes the 720p channels on RUclips TV look alot better than the 950G did.
I wonder how the comparison to the U7N would be ? Is the 7N better balanced by being less bright ? I love my 65" U8K but does it stand comparison or is the image less captivating in all areas ?
Ever since I got the TCL QM8 last summer, Ive had to stream everything through my Xbox. I thought HDR and Dolby Vison meant bright and popping pictures. It actually means "make everything super dark". So I use my Xbox so I can switch off Dolby Vision and use the TV's native picture presets which look far better
Is the u8n the same as u8. I can not find an u8n looking at best buy etc. Thank you and keep up the great work. Which would you suggest between the u8n and tcl qm8.
It’s really about the image processing algorithms more so than the underlying tech these days. The return to LED technologies with mini LED+micro dimming zones processing has been glorious.
Most overrated phrase in TV reviews is image processing. All these TVs do a fantastic job with High res content. It surprises me how many people still watch MASH or Green Acres
@@trewright1482 Overrated as in everyone should just buy the cheapest TV available and it will be as good as the top end TV of the same size regardless of image processing, dimming zones and so on? I don’t think so.
@@AleksLazar Overrated in everyone uses the term that only the highest brands can achieve. I'd argue most of these brands look fantastic with HDR content. Why people watch 1960's tv shows still is head scratching
@@trewright1482 I see what you mean about the type of content where it doesn’t make a difference. Probably nostalgia or curiosity. I rewatched the OG Star Trek not too long ago.
I ordered the 65 inch U8N based on this and other reviews. It will be my first non-Samsung TV in about 20 years. As a OTA enthusiast I am looking forward to having my first ATSC 3.0 in the house. Thanks for the detailed review.
Hi, I love your reviews, I have a doubt about viewing angles, If the mini LED is set up on the wall and I'm lying on the floor looking up at the tv, watching any show... Does it affect the viewing angle?
Main needs: I watch NFL/MLB and Golf as well as some streaming shows/movies. Looking for as clear a picture for sports. I have a QM7 in 75” being installed later in the week. In the mean time I upgraded my Master BR to a budget Insignia FireTv for something like $240… it’s not high end but it was a big upgrade from the prior TV. Would you say the QM7 Mini-LED is going to be very good for my primary needs or would you recommend something else in that price range?
If you had to choose a TV for USB movies USB TV Shows,,,, Free to air low Picture Quality,,,,,,,, And 1080p Streaming APP'S What would be the best in Picture Accuracy Quality Hisense U8N or SONY X90l or x93L ,,, or LG QNED86 or 91 ?????
The SONY’s will surely be your best bet with those. As their image processing is far superior. The X90L has far fewer dimming zones than this TV, however makes up for it with superior software. Specs look great on paper, but for your purpose, I’d highly recommend SONY. In addition, you can sleep well knowing that your $1000+ will last twice as long as well. The failure rate of Hisense over SONY is roughly twice as much.
I got the U7K last black friday. For the price it's amazing. I don't feel like updating to these newer tv's. Mine has nearly all the features the flagship one's do.
Just got 85u8n did the dirty screen test.... And ive won the panel lottery thx godness.... So bright off angle sucks but i live alone so no big deal.... Its amazing
Hey 🎉 trick !!! If u find it too bright day time - Up the “black level “(sit to light it will freak u out first ) . Then - d magic : UP d COLOR (density/ volume ) D dense color cast on brightness , suddently they r not intrusive at all even if they r bright :):) cuz there 20X light sensors in eyes for whites than color sensors . When color is not set high , white is dominant :)
I'm very excited for TV's this year. Thank you for this review. I will definitely consider this TV. I didn't hear you mention the price. Hopefully it comes in at a good price. I'm going to also be looking at the Sony 7. We'll see how you like that one too after you test it. 👍😎
Hi, I just bought the 65“ U8N here in Germany. At first I was extremely impressed. Very bright and awesome colours! But then suddenly content in HDR and especially Dolby Vision got darker. In comparison with SDR it‘s very dim. Seems like an issue with the Firmware. When I activate the light sensor then it gets brighter then when it‘s turned off. Settings defenitely are Not the problem. Do you guys have similar issues or any solutions?
I’ve had a U8k 75 inch for a few months now and overall I’m happy with it. There are times when the picture is absolutely stunning. Low bit content is where it can get into trouble at times. It took me a lot of tweaking to get the picture where I like it.
I’m having a senior moment trying to describe it properly. I watch RUclips tv alot and we watch older shows and movies sometimes with low resolution. Then picture quality suffers. But in the TV’s defense it’s trying to polish a turd so to speak. But in higher resolutions the picture is excellent. Deep blacks and minimal blooming. I was watching a Harry Potter movie in 4 k the other day and it was a real treat. I had a tight budget to work with and I wanted to go up in size and get a better picture than my 6year old Qled and I got both with the U8k. It has a couple of quirks but nothing that makes me regret buying it.
Also the inevitable comparison to TCLs QM8 for 2024 is anticipated . I remember you saying the QM8 suppressed blacks too much in the darkest scenes but you loved the black levels . Vis a vis the U8K , which may show more accuracy in the handling of gradients . Edge for you , to the QM8 . Great and descriptive reviews all of them Caleb !
@@PatWalsh-l8ySee, you guys won't listen to me if I told you that upscaling is bit hyped on top tier branded TVs. I got both Sa...... and So.., top qd-oled and mini led models from last year. Low bit rate and low resolution content just don't look great. Period. For low bit 1080p content on the So minini led tv looks bad eith artifacts around the edges, not clean and sharp as native UHD content. You need to resort to HDR10+ 4K or Dolby vision to get the picture to your likeness. Some high bit rate 1080p movies do look good. So, don't think that upscaling is something magical feature, it is not in reality.
I can tell easily without checking the settings of yt video if that content is non 4K or a low quality, low bit rate content on my X95L and S95C. Now what does that say about 'upscaling'?
I'll ask this here as well. This at $1,800 or the UX 85" at $2,500? Which one would be the better buy? Sounds like the only real advantage of the UX is the better sound.
Love the review! I would like to see you talk about e-ARC and the distribution of HDMI 2.1 ports. I know you talked about 2 HDMI ports supporting VRR and other features indicating those are possibly 2.1 ports. What about, if one of them is being wasted as an e-ARC? TCL QM-8 had e-ARC on seperate HDMI port than the two 2.1 ports. Please include that in your future reviews. Thank you for the amazing review!
Thanks Caleb. U8N 75 inch with ADS Pro delivered today. Fair price, super value, on sale. Excellent "TV" is now affordable. Hooked into new TV every 5 years. Good job manufactures. These guys are battling it out for market share, we win.
Would it be possible to get some review of the reflection handling? Some actual footage of what having a window reflecting on the screen would look like? Thanks a lot! And awesome job BTW!! 👍
Hi Caleb, thank you so much for this video. I really like your videos and reviews, but the problem is that I am from Europe and the same TV is different in Europe and in the US. Is this also the case with the Hisense TV?
Would you consider taking a look at the 75 inch version of this TV? My understanding is that it uses an ADS Pro panel instead of the VA panel of the 65 inch. I'm considering a Hisense for my next purchase but it needs to be a 75 inch and I would like to know how much contrast, if any, is lost with the ADS Pro panel. That model would also mitigate your biggest complaint with the U8N - the viewing angle.
Dude, yeah I went to store n played with 75” U8K last year flagship. That ADS-PRO. Omg its Significant upgrade from VA. I LOVE It so much i am still thinknig about it. I went in thinking if ADS-PRO would match 95-90%VA then maybe i would consider. Then I walked out of store thinknig “oh I was a fool not knowing how ADS-PRO was” That image of utter glossy, clear panel in my head. Its so clear, so clean vibrancy over the roof n natrual vibrancy to , not the funny looking vivid. Like spring cozy vibrancy.
Yeah real story. I was setting up u8k 75” , 4 employees came over to like”wow” at it. N saying it looked same as QD-OLED. Then the dude behind me checking SONY A95K 75” QD-OLED kept asking me what the THAT tv? Lol. “Excuse me, do u work here?” Lmao. N he finally ditch that a95K, came over to check the HIsense 75” n he was so confused at it. Lol was funny
Hey can you verify the 55inch version im looking into that size for the U8N but iv heard its only 1800nits instead of 3000 and isnt as good all around. Thanks in advance
Do you think the U8N performs better than the U8K? I’m about to buy an 85” TV (Like tomorrow) . I watched a U8K vs. TCL QM8 comparison and liked the TCL’s picture except for the gradation. Then I saw the U8N and wondered if my preference changed because the TCL wasn’t next to it or if Hisense fixed issues like the grey/black levels you mentioned in your comparison video.
Truth be told the only reason why I’m even going down this path is because I took your advice and picked up the 85” TCL Q651G during the “Prime” sale only for Amazon to say on Delivery Day Opps, sorry we ain’t got it 😂😂😂 Made me think “was that the tv you really wanted David?” So here we are
65 inch has 1600 ish zones with contrast ratio of almost 400,000:1 75 inch has 2000 zones, but has an ADS/IPS panel, which doesn’t have as good a contrast as VA. Idk what the contrast ratio is (to be fair it’s probably still good) 85 and 98 inches have a very similar zone count to 65, being slightly above or below 1600. 55 inches is an outlier, with about 600 zones and 1800 Nits at peak.
Is this U8N an upgrade to the U8K? What is the new TCL equivalent, I know in Europe they have the C series C855 Premium QD-MiniLED. Can u do a comparison on these?
Don’t water down the reviews. I want to hear all the numbers. You need to show more content like gaming, DV, nits etc. You need to show the upscaling from SDR/HDR and sports.
Gotta hear some feedback re: your question. My concern is getting the 100 inch Tv and having it last a couple of days outside of the MFG warranty and then having to get 4 friends to help me get rid of it :(
Just ordered this TV for my main living room to replace a Samsung Q90R that will be moving downstairs to go on the wall in my basement living room. Looking forward to putting it through the paces.
It's hard to justify spending $2k+, on sets like this Hisense, when there are OLEDs out there offering better picture quality and more features at or even below (S90c) this price.
@@PhantomofDB definitely agree, however, a number of OLEDs have been going on sale, every other week and especially for holidays, at larger sizes 77/83 well below the $2k mark. Which wouldn't make any sense to spend this much on a TV that can't give you the same levels of picture quality and features.
You're the only reviewer who never mention or whisper the other companies name.. I've noticed that a few months ago.... no mention of sony samsung or LG.... and it's the same thing when you are reviewing other brands... feels suspicious 🤔
They are influencers, and not want to rock the boat. These aren't unbiased reviews, these guys are influencers that gives good information on the product they are pushing. Cynical, yes, but it's the truth. I like these videos but I don't treat these as unbiased "reviews".
Strange and I think unfair comment as Caleb's showing this TV next to the LG G4 which is easily one of the best TVs this year. Obviously, he wants to focus on the TV that he's reviewing and that's a good thing, right?
@@techsamurai11 c'mon, if you believe more power to you. And he doesn't do comparison which is what's needed to know the differences. The fact that he mentioned LG was a surprise. He should be mentioning stuff like Samsung QN series as a comparison. The fact that the only thing he compared was the black levels of a G3 is all sales. C'mon think about.
@@wezzman1 I think this is one of the first tvs of the season - there's little point in comparing it to last year's models especially when LEDs are getting huge upgrades this year. Perhaps, he could have compared to the X93L or X95L but those TVs are being replaced by the Bravia 7 and 9 which are going to be superior to both old models.
Hisense is just arriving in Brazil. We dont know this brand. Iwant to get the u8n because of the review and its price. Are these reliable tvs? The break fast or last for a few years?
Having had my fimgers burned with a Hisense U7K no way am i sticking my wallet into the Hisense oven again just to find out if the customer support is still dire. Having just returned my new LG C3 for panel failure, the left was darker than the right i am back on the fence again. Motto is, never buy new products when they are launched, you will pay too much and have the hassle of trying to resolve issues that may never be fixed.
I'm considering picking up a Hisense TV, but my concern is longevity. It's great that these are "so good, especially for the price" but if it causes headaches due to failure and terrible customer service after the sale, it isn't worth it. So, do these tvs seem to be holding up well over time?
Why wouldn't you just get an LG B3 oled it's cheaper by $200 I was floored to see this TV in OLED level prices i thought it was in the $800 range not 1500
The B3 is a 2023 model, the U8N is a 2024 model. Soon there will be no B3s available so you will then need to compare the U8N to the B4, which means 65" = $1500 vs. $2200 and 75/77" = $2000 vs. $3400. I would actually compare this against the C4 since the B is much less impressive than C in a bright room, so its even more expensive really. Its not a small difference to a lot of people so they will put up with the downsides of LCD like viewing angle/dark room performance/limitations of no per-pixel dimming so they can get much better sound than the B/pay less/get better bright room performance via brighter average screen level/go to a bigger size they couldn't afford with OLED. Some people don't want to buy external sound systems to have a good sound or they watch with the lights on or in a room with light pouring in from large windows.
I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this U8N (75) and a Bravia Quad speaker system. Question: what would be the ideal way to connect the Quad, an ATV4K, and a PS5 to the TV? ATV to Quad; Quad and PS5 to TV?
These Hisense reviews are suspicious... Hisense image and motion processing is so bad in person (it doesn't need "just a little bit improvement" it needs ALOT) and they have horrible quality control but neither are ever mentioned by any of these big reviewers. That coupled with the fact that Hisense reviews always seem to be prioritized over other brands that actual TV enthusiast are actually interested in, it just makes these Hisense videos feel like a paid AD..
I feel like many reviewers including Caleb have mentioned these issues but maybe my brain is bit foggy. I know Andrew Robinson has called into question a few sets. TCL or Hisense is where you go if you want cheap junk to be honest. The real question is how much better is this cheap junk getting because this stuff doesn't last more than 3 years. Hisense and TCL have a huge failure rate. Lots of returns to Best Buy.
People who refuse to pay $3500+ for televisions also like to watch reviews lol. Your favorites will get their glowing reviews as always. These only get a lot of attention because the majority of the public can now enjoy GREAT screens without wasting tons of money for slightly better visuals in a dark room. So of course these videos of Hisense and TCL are going to get a LOT of views, which matters to channels trying to run a business.
We're waiting delivery on a 55U8N right now, how did I miss this review? I was concerned about the oversaturation of colors on the demos in the store, so I am super glad you mentioned how that can be toned down. It was a super deal, and since we can't go bigger than 55" due to space limitations in our house, I hope the smaller size doesn't have compromises.
So, then why not buy an OLED and not a Chinese TV? It's not that much less than an OLED (C3 is the same price for a 65" or a Samsung S90C, as much as I despise their OS and menus.) -Only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, much thicker TV than an OLED and that remote still looks like someone made it I'm their basement out of spare parts with no solar or USB recharging.
Why even post this comment when the video is 20 minutes long and you've posted your comment before you even fully watched the video. Clearly you aren't looking for answers.
Calling it out immediately as a "Chinese" tv is really wearing your motivations on your sleeve here my guy. Stop jumping to nationalistic conclusions and watch the damn review. Don't bring that energy here.
it’s because 65” are a joke and basically an iPad compared to a 100”. I got the 100U8K few months ago for $3000, that sheer size is incredible. A comparable OLED would be $30,000.
@@JayDpwnzI knew the answers. It's a rhetorical comment not intended for you. You'd know that if you were educated and not scrolling comments all day, not for your eyes. I don't recall addressing you.
oh please stop it, you do this every year, who are you trying to convince here and why??? its LCD, its only ever "almost OLED" in a bright room, when you turn the lights down and then its garbage LCD again, plus you can get an LG A1 for that price which will have a far better picture, again in dimmed room where ALL moviephiles will be watching their movies...
Feature set of the A1 is not at all comparable to this tv. A1 only makes sense in the context of an absolute OLED evangelist who won't ever consider an LCD despite its quality nor features. If that's you, fine, but don't try to act like they are the same level of TV besides the panel difference.
21 min video posted 40 mins ago, and you replied around 25 mins ago... Huh. Between that and your comment it seems almost like you just took two words (while ignoring the blatant question mark) from the thumbnail and then made a generalized comment based on nothing else...
Hey Caleb! How do you think the ULEDx this year will compare at 98”? I am trying to convince myself to go larger (I have an 85 currently) but that 83” G4 is sucking me in….
Hi, I am putting a 14x14' sunroom on the back of my house and I'm looking for a TV that is going to be bright enough to handle it. I was drawn to this TV for its brightness and quality speaker system, but we may be watching it at different angles. I was also interested in the Samsung QN90 or the LG C4. Do you have an opinion on what will be my best option and size for this room. I also watch a lot of sports if you could factor that in your decision. Thank you!

According to reviews 55" version is worse than 65". Also, much less dimming zones.
Awesome review. Really looking forward to hear how the TCL equivalent stacks up.
@@jacoboliver1607 I am glad to hear that. Competition is the best thing for all of us.
Bro you are comparing the processing on a C9 that's 5 years old and a C1 that's 3 years old to the processing of a 2023 TV? .. are you slow?.
U8N or Sony X90L?
Which is better for TV/Streaming/Movie watching? Both can be found for about the same price at the moment. Deciding which 85in TV to purchase.

Which would you recommend?
does the 75” Hisense U8N use an ADS Pro Panel? thank you for all the knowledge and help.
Yes, ADS Pro Panel
bought a U8G a couple years ago thanks to your recommendation. now I am back for a bigger U8N!
What percentage of people, even those that do their research are really concerned with absolute accuracy? My guess is very few. Most people want a bright and colorful picture without going too far like vivid mode introduces.
I bought my first Hisense about 8-9 years ago n it’s time to upgrade. Definitely Hisense has some best pricing. Which should I upgrade to?
So my friend just bought the 65" U8N on Saturday at BB
His reaction once he turned it on to a YT 4K demo , unadjusted ?

That also depends on manufacturing and panel tech processing choices made. I’m sure this is not the case for all tvs.
Thanks for your tip, I was hoping to find a way to turn off DV.
It means your TV doesn’t retain dark details, pretty simple. Only best TVs can do that.
Is the u8n the same as u8. I can not find an u8n looking at best buy etc. Thank you and keep up the great work. Which would you suggest between the u8n and tcl qm8.
U8 is a series of TVs. U8N is the latest model in that series.
It’s really about the image processing algorithms more so than the underlying tech these days. The return to LED technologies with mini LED+micro dimming zones processing has been glorious.

Describe low bit. I’m on the fence about this TV

Then I walked out of store thinknig “oh I was a fool not knowing how ADS-PRO was”
That image of utter glossy, clear panel in my head. Its so clear, so clean vibrancy over the roof n natrual vibrancy to , not the funny looking vivid. Like spring cozy vibrancy.

Truth be told the only reason why I’m even going down this path is because I took your advice and picked up the 85” TCL Q651G during the “Prime” sale only for Amazon to say on Delivery Day Opps, sorry we ain’t got it 😂😂😂 Made me think “was that the tv you really wanted David?” So here we are
Can you try to mention Contrast ratio and dimming zone count in these video. That's super important to me
65 inch has 1600 ish zones with contrast ratio of almost 400,000:1
75 inch has 2000 zones, but has an ADS/IPS panel, which doesn’t have as good a contrast as VA. Idk what the contrast ratio is (to be fair it’s probably still good)
85 and 98 inches have a very similar zone count to 65, being slightly above or below 1600.
55 inches is an outlier, with about 600 zones and 1800 Nits at peak.
Is this U8N an upgrade to the U8K? What is the new TCL equivalent, I know in Europe they have the C series C855 Premium QD-MiniLED. Can u do a comparison on these?

@@PhantomofDB definitely agree, however, a number of OLEDs have been going on sale, every other week and especially for holidays, at larger sizes 77/83 well below the $2k mark. Better value is the U7N according to Caleb?
My QM8 looks better, in every respect, than my S95B and C2
Brighter than them that probably why
2023 or 2024 QM8?
I'm considering picking up a Hisense TV, but my concern is longevity. It's great that these are "so good, especially for the price" but if it causes headaches due to failure and terrible customer service after the sale, it isn't worth it. So, do these tvs seem to be holding up well over time?
Why wouldn't you just get an LG B3 oled it's cheaper by $200 I was floored to see this TV in OLED level prices i thought it was in the $800 range not 1500
To dim
Some people don't want to buy external sound systems to have a good sound or they watch with the lights on or in a room with light pouring in from large windows.
b3 has like 50% of the brightness of this one
Ohh OK. If you know so much, please you may go ahead and start a review 😊
They are cheap decent TVs. They have some issues, but that is why they are so cheap. If the issues they have don't bother you, then they are a steal.
Sponsored by Hisense . This is not a review , this a a promotion .
Didn’t hear much about blooming so I assume this TV also fixed all the blooming issues inherent to LCD tvs?
I would not call it budget. I would call it the TV that no one wants to pay an overpriced company just for the name
Bought my U8K last year, still freaking love it for my gaming.
How is it working out??
He only likes korean tvs
@@JayDpwnzI knew the answers. It's a rhetorical comment not intended for you. You'd know that if you were educated and not scrolling comments all day, not for your eyes. I don't recall addressing you.
This video officially ended my weeks long agonizing over a new TV. Buying one now.
oh please stop it, you do this every year, who are you trying to convince here and why??? its LCD, its only ever "almost OLED" in a bright room, when you turn the lights down and then its garbage LCD again, plus you can get an LG A1 for that price which will have a far better picture, again in dimmed room where ALL moviephiles will be watching their movies...
A1 is so old and dim it’s not recommended! Just grab a Bravia 7 or 9 basically perfect blacks and 4,000 nits
what does "top it" mean?
@@thecrlghs typo, "stop it"
My understanding is that the 75 inch U8N uses the ADS panel and has excellent side viewing. The other sizes use the VA panel.
Which is a better deal and better tv the qm8 2023 or this new u8n I'm thinking of getting a 75" qm8
Bro, thanks for the detailed review.
I just ordered myself Hisense U8N TV 5 minutes ago.
Hopefully it would turn up good.
U8K, LG C3, or wait for the U8N? Also how frequent are people getting bad panels on a C3?
Thanks for your reviews. So helpful to someone who has gotten a new TV in a long time
U8n vs. QN90C or the QN 90D? Caleb, which is the best?
Bought mine during prime deals. It's so good I feel like I got away with something for paying only $700.
Thank you!
Hi I am buying this tv soon I just bought the Ax5120G sound bar did I waste my time getting it which will sound better tv or this model sound bar ?
