    Well. I watched this video, then used the blood pressure cuff on my calf and decided i must be severely calcium deficient (even though i eat plenty of food containing calcium). So i added calcium supplements on top of my regular diet. Then i watched Dr Berg's 'serious excess calcium side effects' video and decided i must be having 'too much' calcium. I've also watched Dr Berg's 'discovering the surprising benefits of iodine' and decided i needed more iodine in my diet (took kelp tabs). Then i watched Dr Berg's '#1 sign of iodine overload' and decided i was having way too much iodine in my diet (even though in the area i live, the tap water has been full of fluoride since 1964). This is how post menopausal women spend their lives, instead of just eating what they enjoy.

    • @GizmoFromPizmo
      @GizmoFromPizmo 2 года назад +3

      A good magnesium supplement is easy to come by. I take magnesium glycinate (sp?) powder every other day mixed in a glass of water). Potassium is another story. We need SO much of it every day but fortunately it's in almost every non-processed food we eat. The fat soluble vitamins are two-factor in proper absorption, so don't leave out DEA and K.

    • @w1975b
      @w1975b 2 года назад +3

      I've started supplementing with vitamin A (cod liver oil softgels), one a day for the past month or so. I've always had large pores (from oily skin since puberty) and my pores appear smaller. Also the general redness of my face, spots and acne are reduced. Brand - Pure Encapsulations vitamin A 3,000 mcg/10,000 IU each softgel. I take it with some food that has fat in it, since vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin. If you like liver (I've never tried it and am a picky eater), liver is high in vitamin A.
      I've also "oil cleansed" a few times, which seemed to help clogs come out of the pores. It's a pretty gentle way to cleanse. I don't do it exactly as shown in videos, though. I think my skin may be drier than it used to be because I'm perimenopausal, so hormone changes. I apply the kokum butter (chose it for non-comedogenic and it doesn't have much of a smell), massage it in for some minutes, then wipe off the excess with my fingers (wiping fingers on paper towel). I don't wipe my face with a towel or wash with a cleanser after (this is what most videos say to do). I don't wash because I want the moisturizing effect. I haven't oil cleansed on a regular basis, but after I do it, my skin is softer and I do feel little bumps of stuff that has come out of the pores and/or old dead skin.

    • @w1975b
      @w1975b 2 года назад +2

      Another option I've considered is using grassfed ghee (which should be high in vitamin A) to oil cleanse or just apply to my face as a moisturizer. Direct application of vitamin A and healthier option than some kind of prescription drug. I have some old ghee that's rancid I think from the smell of it. Don't want to try that. If I decide to go ahead with it, I'll buy fresh ghee.

    I'm very surprised that no mention was made of vitamin K2. I started taking 300mcg (MK7) in divided doses every day and a lot of these symptoms have improved. I don't get cramps in my hands like I used to (where my hands and fingers lock up) and the only thing I changed was the amount of K2 I was taking. I take a good magnesium supplement as well and I get 5,000+ IUs of vitamin D3 every day. The only thing i really changed was the amount of K2 (MK7) i was taking - from 100 mcg to 300 in divided doses (100 in the morning and 200 more in the evening with my OMAD meal). I use the NOW Foods brand of vitamin K2 (derived from nattokinase).

    @Dr. Eric Berg DC thank you for all your information. I just went to the fish market yesterday 4/16/22 & got some salmon. I have been getting Vitamin D injections & March 2022, I got my first IV Hydration Cleanse. On 4/15/22 I got a hot sauna wrap. Immediately after my appointment , I had to urinate. Once I did, I immediately could smell the toxins release from my body. That day, I noticed the swelling in my feet going down. On 4/16/22, I got my 2nd Vitamin D injection. I'm glad I asked a lit of questions because he told me what cocktail to get next time based on all my issues & how often I need to be getting the Vitamin D injections for the next 3 months. Where I messed up, I ate some gluten free tortillas & it immediately gave me back pain & feeling weird. I had not eaten that whole day. That day I started feeling better. Now I know one if the culprits to my inflammation.
    Congratulations on getting over 7 million subscribers! 🎉🎊

    One other weird thing low calcium can cause. It has caused this all my life, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I was able to isolate it to low calcium. For me, if my calcium levels get too low, my nose runs like a hose. I don't mean a slightly runny nose, I mean a a lot of snot running out of my nose like a fire hose. It is horrible and it has happened to me since I was a child. It took me 50 years to figure out it was a low electrolyte...but a few more years to isolate it to calcium. I have never seen anything online nor had a doctor tell me that low calcium can cause a runny nose, but for me, it does. I seem to get rid of a lot of calcium when I sweat. So I need to be cognizant and ensure I keep my calcium levels up when I work out or use the sauna. Taking calcium supplement or eating something like yogurt will almost instantly stop the runny nose for me. It is crazy.

    *_Everyone has an incredible resource of calcium that they daily or weekly just throw away: egg shells._*
    *_What you do it boil the egg shells for 10min, then add them to a preheated oven for another 10mins._*
    *_If the egg shells get a faint browning from the oven, that is OK; it will add some flavor._*
    *_Now you add them to your spice/coffee bean grinder. And you grind them until they are a powder. I suggest you do not open the coffee grinder right away after grinding as there will be a egg shell mist._*
    *_You'll need a sieve; it's only the powder you want. Grind the rest again if you want, but you'll have enough now._*
    *_25% of a teaspoon daily at start. When people read "1 teaspoon" in a recipe, they take one "heaping teaspoon" that is wrong. Take 1 teaspoon of the egg shells, take the backside of a knife and run it over so all the access falls off: this is a teaspoon. Now take away half. Now take away another half of the rest and you'll have 25%; or 1/4 teaspoon. This you take daily with a glass of water._*
    *_If after a few weeks you have felt no discomfort, increase to half a teaspoon: this is your daily recommendation of calcium._*
    *_Alternatively, give it to your houseplants._*
